All of them that i know of take 6 quarts.

The 1998-2003 Dodge Durango/Dakota Lug pattern is: 6x114.3 or 6x4.5
The 2004-Present Durango/Dakota Lug Pattern is: 5x139.7 or 5x5.5

The part number is 2118350

Two options: NV231 and NV242. There is a tag on the rear of the transfer case that will have the model number on it.

4.7 L doesn't have one. 5.9L it is on the rear of the engine.

I'm actually trying to replace mine as we speak. It depends on what what type of engine you have. I have a 4.7 engine. So its bolted to the right hand side of my cylinder. Hope this helps!skorpio1024@yahoo.com

either the bearing is noisy and driving you crazy or the pump is leaking ,or your truck is over heating and someone is guessing this will fix it

You have to support the engine while part of the cradle is removed. Toyota Corolla is the same car; also check for information on an equivalent model/year

Well actually i just done this on my 89 tracer. its pretty easy really. might need two sets of hands . makes it easyer. first off drain the cooling system. its a good time to do a flush while u have it all apart anyways . when u got the cooling system all drained out .remove the alternator belt and the pully on the water pump which are 3 bolts . take out the bolts that hold on the timing cover. i recall there are 8-10 bolts. remove the cover. ok then you wanna mark the cam gear with a marker or something so its lined up with the valve cover or some lined mark so you don't throw it out of time. remove the bolt holding the timing belt tentioner. be carful tho not to loose the spring that is connected to it after you have that off the belt should have enough slack to slide off the cam gear and crank pully. make sure YOU DO NOT TURN CRANK PULLY OR CAM PULLY.this will throw it out of time . by this time you will have everything out of your way to remove the water pump. ok now take out the bolts holding the water pump i recall there 12 mm . some of them you will have to use a wrench to get too. take off the two bolts on the front that hold the tube that goes to the heater core. the piece that unbolts from there just has a o ring holding it to the tube so just pull on it and it will come off also. pull the water pump out now. clean the block of old gasket and dirt. take a smoke break your half way done,

now lets go in reverse. i recomend using a hi temp rtv silicone gasket maker also.makes it easyer to hold the new gasket in place. put the new gasket with a few dabs of rtv onto the new water pump. bolt the water pump to the block . tork i think to 45 foot lbs. your new pump will come with a new o ring for the front so put that on the tube and slide the part on the tube. bolt the tube back on with new gasket and a little rtv again. give your buddy a hi five and drink a beer.

now on to the timing belt and tentioner. slide the new belt onto the crank and the cam gears . put the new tentioner pully on and don't forget the spring . get the tention right on the new belt and tighten down tentioner. once again DO NOT MOVE THE CAM AND CRANK GEARS. now put on the timing cover . almost done.

last thing. bolt the pully back onto the water pump for the belt that goes to the altinator. install the belt tighten the altinator back down and your done installing the water pump and timing belt . put new antifreeze and water back in the radiator 50/50 mix let car run for 10 -15 mins shut car off let it cool down. check the coolant level cause im sure u will need to add more because the block was empty and you have to let the car warm up for the thermostate to open up to fill the block. after topping off the coolant your done . congrats

Hello, I recently became an owner of a yellow 89 mer tracer as a a beater car. I love the little thing. I believe our engines are made by Mazda. therefore I would recommend searching Mazda ca rmanuals for the same engine. also just stop down your local Mazda or merc dealer and ask politely about how to make such repairs. let the service guys know they are gods and you just need a little advice. most of the time i have found that they tell you how to do it so they don't have to work on it. ask the techs, not the service manager.

Dodge did not produce the Durango until 1998. It is located on the bell housing on the right side of the engine where the transmission mounts to the engine

the washer fluid resevoir is under the front right hand side wing of the car it feeds both front and rear screens the pipes do tend to fall off wich will in turn stop rear washer water also there is a rubber filter in the bottle wich blocks up as well, to get to bottle remove the 2 x 10mm bolts to the bottom of the inner arch(black plastic)pull to one side these and you will be able to get to the water bottle,to remove motor just pull towards center of car then remove rubber filter and clean ,2x elbo joints have nylon pipes check for them above pump this is normaley were they are these are push fit and 9times out of 10 the problem hope this helps

You cannot reset an O2 sensor, you can replace them though they are located on the exhaust pipe before and after the catalytic converter. You can then reset the computer with a scan tool but if the problem is fixed the light will go out on its own after a while.

Regular green antifreeze of any manufacturer will be fine in a 50-50 mix with water

I am having the same problem. I had to jump start my car cause the lights were left on (whoops!). So upon doing so, the anti theft alarm was going crazy. 4 ways were on, the annoying beeping (until you closed the door) and all the lights in the car flashing. According to my manual, leave the ignition key in the ignition in the run position until everything stops going off. And everything did. (I do not have remote entry on the car, therefore I had to use my key) I tried to LOCK the car today. And the alarm went off. My power locks don't work, and when I manually lock the door, the alarm sounds. So naturally, I sat in the car, key in ignition in the run position, until the lights stopped flasting and all that fun stuff,,,and proceeded to not lock it. However, I can't NOT lock the car, so I need a solution.

good news is its an easy fix its just the expansion valve so ill tell ya what to do,

-you have to empty out the a/c system refrigerant

-on the firewall on the passenger side under hood, you will see where the high/low pressure lines disappear into the firewall there is a little box the lines are bolted to, i think is a 13mm bolt

- its easier if you open the plastic clips holding the lines as they go over the motor, this allows a little movement in the lines when you need to move them a little to get the expansion valve unbolted.

- the box is the expansion valve

-change that box out make sure the o rings are in place and bolt everything back up

- fill the refrigerant and you should be all set

- if you end up filling the a/c yourself make sure the motor is running and the a/c is on max and blowing high when filling.

To rebuild my transmission on my 1999 Dodge durango cost me $1,250 with a 1yr. warranty on labor and parts. It drives great now.

Bank 2 is pass side. Sensor one is pre cat, sensor two is post cat.

Not easily. The 4.7 uses a different trans, computer, wiring, etc.

That rather depends - on whether the wheel will physically fit the diameter and depth of the vehicle's wheel space - and the wheel mountings are in exactly the same place !

Drain the water from your Chevrolet 5.7 liter engine cooling system. Remove the water pump return hose. Remove the water pump belt. Remove the water pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new water pump.

You have to remove the plastic trim panel that covers the upper part of the rear hatch. This can be done by gently using a flat head screwdriver to pry up a corner and then carefully pull up as you move across the panel. This will expose the light assembly and you can then access the bulbs. Then you just line up the clips with the corresponding holes in the hatch, and pop the cover back on.
