It's easy to do. Crawl under the truck with a pan big enough to hold 2 gallons and place it under the plug in the oil pan. Remove the plug and let the oil drain into it. Replace the pulg tightly after all the oil is drained. Locate the oil filter, it should be either on the side of the engine or bottom, and remove it by spinning it counter-clockwise. rteplace it with a new filter that has a little fresk oil on the rubber gasket. Spin it on hand tight only. Replace the oil you drained with five quarts of new oil by adding it through the plug in the valve cover on top of the engine. It has an oil emblem on it. Check the level with the dipstick and make sure it shows full. Crank the truck and let it idle while you look under it for any leaks. shut it off and recheck the level adding any oil if needed to the full mark. Piece of cake.

well i think a durango front end is the same as a Dakota i had the same thing i bought a used 1999 Dakota the previous owner said the howl was the tires well i changed them still the same finally after some research i changed the right front hub assembly it worked like a charm no more howling a way to tell is take some hard corners and see if it stops making noise most likely the right bearing I'm replacing drivers side to

1. Jack up car and secure with chocks & stands. 2. Remove wheel. 3. Remove caliper, using a 7mm or Torx45 wrench. Do not allow caliper to dangle. Tie it up with suitable wire or a coat hanger. 4. Beat on rotor til it comes off. Really. They get stuck. They aren't held on by anything but pressure and rust. Use penetrating oil, beat on rotor some more. Eventually it will come off.

that could be caused by ur spark plugs missing or something like that i would check ur spark plugs and if not that idk.

hay.. its pritty simple. there are 2 Philips screws in the back, u unscrew them and then slide the piece of plastic off. then all u have to do is switch the bulb.

Replacing the water pump is an extremely difficult task. I would recommend buying a new vehicle, and selling me the old one.

The 4.7L 2002 dodge durango has 4 O2 sensors. ref. Chilton's Dodge Durango/Dakota 2001-03 repair manual. page 6-19 (Oxygen sensor - general info and replacement) The upstream oxygen sensor is located before the catalytic converter. The downstream oxygen sensor is located is located after the catalytic converter.

It is located on the bottom right ( passenger ) @ the back of engine . Right below the rightside rear freeze plug. All ya need is a 13mm wrench or socket s/u . After removing the bolt unplug the 3 wire connector and pull it straight out .

Just so you know I found out is a problem with that year. I have a 1985 I'm restoring and I had trouble coming home in it after spending a fortune on all new injectors etc and it didn't run properly at all. It's a manufacturing problem for sure. I seem to have found it only like to be driven fairly hard. Shifts fine then. I don't recommend it tho. SOrry if you find anything out let me know.

It is located on the passanger side of the engine firewall.Probable can't see it from the top side,too much A/C clutter.Inspect it from the bottom side.

try the belt No I have same problem with my 03 1500 hemi..so far I have changed the belt and the tenssion pully, but still have the squeaking noise and when I turn off engin I can hear that squeaking.

Have you made sure your battery is at 12 volts and not 11 volts?

Secondly, 11 volts is more than enough to make the pump run (and start the truck).

Low voltage is normally the sign of a bad relay (or wire connector).

Without disassembling the tank, filler neck, etc. no you can't.

If you need to drain fuel the easiest way is using a fuel pressure gauge attached to the fuel rail - use the bleed off and run the pump, that is, assuming the pump works.

If that is not an option disconnect the fuel filler hose from the tank and look at the neck of the tank itself - there was a removable insert on some of these that inhibits fuel syphoning. If you pull it out the hole is open and fuel can be pulled out.

If the insert is permanently fixed your only other option is to drop the tank far enough to remove the fuel sender retaining ring, lift the sender out a few inches, and insert a hose directly into the tank.

The speed sensor is located on the left hand side of the transmission underneath the truck and when you pull it out you will lose tranny fluid but not allot

The speedometer receives it signal form the rear axle abs sensor, not the trans output sensor.

Chattering/vibration at all speeds. Chattering when brakes are applied. Poor fuel economy. Noise.
