You changed fuel pump on 1995 Dodge Ram and it still wont start?

Yo should be able to hear the pump motor with your ear to the fuel tank filler hole while a helper turns the key on. If you don't hear it, then have him crank the motor. Get a wiring diagram (good luck, online anyway) or probe the wires at the pump and verify +12 volts and - ground are available at the fuel pump connector with key in "Run" or "Start". Check for clogged fuel filter (with the filter removed from the vehicle, you should be able to blow air (with your mouth, not from an air hose) through it with little resistance). Check fuel pressure at the fuel rail with pressure tester.

Also check for spark by unplugging a spark plug wire from the plug and inserting a tester (available cheap at parts store). Verify no "Check Engine" or "Service Engine Soon" lights on dash are not lit. This light indicates a problem with the Engine or Powertrain Control Module, not that the vehicle requires maintenance.

Many other things will cause a no-start condition, including contaminated fuel, faulty ignition system, extremely low compression, timing belt failure, etc.

In order for any gasoline engine to start, you must have ample fuel, spark, compression and correct timing (both ignition and camshaft). If you can't check these yourself, you are better letting a pro do it. You will save time and money by not buying unnecessary parts (sounds like you might have already bought an unneeded pump) or possibly damaging other components.

Error code eleven on 1996 dodge b2500 van?

* 11 No ignition reference signal detected during cranking (bad Hall effect) OR loss of camshaft sensor (and, for cars with crankshaft sensors - which does not include the 2.2/2.5 - timing belt skipped a tooth or loss of crankshaft sensor). See note #8 below.

Can cause the engine to stop working entirely with no limp-home mode. Note: An anonymous poster wrote, "Code 11 will only be set upon clearing the codes, most commonly by disconnecting the battery. It says in the factory diagnostic manuals that code 11 means no ignition reference signal has been seen since battery disconnect. As soon as the vehicle's engine is cranked, and a reference signal is seen, code 11 will go away immediately on it's own. It also won't be set upon failure of a part such as a hall-effect pick-up plate, or loss of the timing belt. If no reference signal is seen during cranking after a battery disconnect, code 11 will remain. This is a helpful indicator in a no-start condition." (Chrysler did sometimes change codes depending on the year, so it may be that some of these apply to differentyears.)

Cam Crank Sensors in a 1999 Dodge?

I have a 98 Jeep Wrangler that kept generating a timing problem codes, after changing the crank sensor and timing module in the top of the distributor, I took it in and they changed out the distributor and stopped the check engine light from coming on. The CPU timing specifications are so tight that a little wear in the distributor shaft starts throwing codes out. It ran fine just kept throwing codes, a rebuilt distributor fixed it.

How do you replace an alternator belt on 1994 dodge ram van 150 8 cylinder?

It is a typical serpentine belt for this van. You need to put a ratchet in the tensioner and turn to release the tension on the belt, then it can be removed. Installation is the reverse. Just pay attention to the routing of the belt or there may be a belt diagram under the hood, either on the hood itself or on the front of the body underhood.

Where is the blower motor on a 98 Chevy C2500 pickup?

The blower is in the pasanger side of the cab. Down by your pasangers feet. Covered in a rubber sound cover. ( Don't know how to remove it )

Cliff

You have to practically take out the dash to get to all the screws....best is to loosen the entire dash, letting it "hang". then you will have access to everything. Take your time and label your parts when you remove them.

When I did mine, I also removed the Pass seat for easier access....

YOU DON'T HAVE TO REMOVE THE DASH. Not unless the 96-98s are different than the 95s. Pull your glove box first off and you should get access to the blower. A couple of the screws ARE a pain but it's do-able. The last one I did took about 30 minutes.

Pull the glovebox to get to the top 2 or 3 screws and u have to pull the computer OUT (NOT nessicary to un hook computer!!!) but u pull computer out of the way to unscrew the 2 screws holdin on the rubber sound deflector around the blower motor and what i did was loosen all screws on bottom of dash to bout the center of the truck (mines a 94 so it should b similiar) and that lets the dash flex or move a lil bit to squeeze the blower motor in and out but it is 5 or 6 screws total ON the blower motor itself 4 in glovebox and 2 on the top of computer mount (leave bottom 2 in as a guide for easier reinstallation of computer mount) -ktskater99 lemme know if this helped any

Will a 318 transmission fit a 360 in a 1995 dodge van?

the bolt patterns on the 318 and a 360 are the same. so as long as you can "fit" the transmission behind it, in essence, yes. but do your dimensional analysis either way. and consider the t-case and driveline.

How do you replace the ECM on a 1995 B2500 Ram Van with the 318 engine?

First you disconect the + battery terminal then the ecm most of the time is underneath or behind the glove box. The ecm you got sometimes come with the chip but if not you will have to switch chips. The chip just pulls out like a plug wire put it in the new one and reasemble. Hook battery cable back up turn key on do not start engine just leave key on redissconect computer to reset it then you should be good to go

-- The ECM is bolted to the firewall, right under the hood.
