From: Jim M. Auto Zone, NAPPA and Discount Auto Parts sells the Output Speed Sensor for about $16.00 or a little more. It costs $25.00 at the dealer. I checked the code myself, with my own code checker which is very inexpensive, when my engine light came on as my transmission hesitated between first and second gear.

I have a 1999 Dodge 1500 Ram van with a 318 Cubic Inch (5.2 Liter) engine with a four speed (Three speed with Overdrive), transmission. I have 138,000 miles on my van.

The sensor is located near the rear of the transmission on the driver's side and is easily accessible. All you need is a one inch wrench to remove it. The color may vary from grey to white, etc. The wire clamps on to the head of the sensor and comes off very easily. The sensor screws out very easily. When it is removed a small amount of transmission fluid may drip out. Replace the old sensor with the new one by just screwing it in and replacing the wire to the sensor.

Took my code reader and turned the code off. Drove the van down the road and had no problems with it after the sensor replacement. Transmissions shifts quite easily with no hesitation.

After doing some research, found out that the sensor checks the speed of the trans-axle to let the transmission know when to shift. If there is a short-circuit on that sensor, it does not tell the transmission to shift to the next gear and causes the check-engine light to come on. I got around the problem by pressing the accelerator more at first to make it shift, however, I also found out that if I manually shifted from 1st gear to second to third that also worked, until I could get to the auto parts store to buy the sensor. Remember, it is the Output Speed Sensor for the P0720 code.

Only took about 15 minutes to replace.

The fuel filter is above the fuel tank filler neck mounted in a clip bracket that is next to the frame. The best way to find it is to take your hand and run it along the fattest fuel line you find and it should be within a foot. Wiggle it free of its bracket to expose it. After servicing it, put it back in the bracket to prevent vibrations and potential damage to the fuel lines.

There are three on the left, three on the right, and two on the rear.

They were rated at 230 hp

Don't know if this will help or not but I had exactly the same problem with mine and it turned out that the fuel pump needed replacing.

That would be the power curve accompanied by turbo lag and tall gears, once your truck downshifts the RPMS are higher, and more favorably situated in the power band, and this rush of exhaust gases quickly spools the turbo up creating more boost and a denser charge coming into the combustion chamber equaling more power and "pick up"

No. Ram has never offered an Allison transmission. The options in 2009 were 68RFE Chrysler transmission and as68rc Aisian Seiki transmission.

The lock actuator is part of the latch.

you may have a warped rotor which will cause the "shake" and the pulling to the left you have a brake caliper may be frozen not allowing the brake to grab or your pads have worn uneven due to the warped rotor. If the truck is pulling to the left check the right side for the wear. If the pads are thinner than the left then have the rotor turned at your local auto parts store before replacing your brakes

Lower driver side of the radiator.

Remove the 3 screws that hold the blower motor and remove. You will see the actuator up in where you remover the motor. It is a foam covered flaper door. It is about 6 nches by 3.5 inches.

just by the drivers knee there is a little box for putting bits in, this box is held in by four quarter turn screws, once released this box will come out to expose the fuse box, at the bottom of the fuse box is a clip which when released will allow the fuse box to swing down.

(1) Open the hood; (2)unscrew the retainer from the back of the headlight; (3)pull the bulb socket out of the headlight assembly; (4)pull out the housing clips and remove the housing from the grill. NOTE:on later models there only 2 clips that are pulled up to release the headlight housing - one on each side. After pulling them up, simply move the headlamp housing forward from the vehicle. Where is it located on the engine

The most prosaic explanation is that something spilled there and the water soaked through the carpet.

It is inside the HVAC housing, under the dash.
