There is an easy fix kit called the "HeaterTreater" that is available on eBay and at heatertreater.net. This fix is all-inclusive, easy to install, does not require removal of the dash, and only takes about 45 minutes. It cover Ford Rangers from 96'-04'
AnswerIf you recently purchased this vehicle I would check to make sure no one has by-passed the heater core. I once had a Nissian that someone did that on because the heater core had a leak. Didn't know that till I hooked up. As to the Fan if the Fuse is a Knowngood fuse, then check the switch you will need to remove it and have it tested to see if it is any good. You may also have to repair the fan, if everything else is "working" I've had to replace the brushs in a couple before.Good Luck
AnswerIf the fan is not running, then it is either a blown fuse, defective blower motor speed control switch, bad blower motor resistor pack, or a defective blower motor.Use your key to unlock the door.
I had the same problem last week with my '92. I checked for spark, it had spark. I pulled the fuel line off at the throttle body and cranked for a few seconds, it had fuel. I thought injector as well. I shot starting fluid into the throttle body and it turned over. I took it to my local mechanic who diagnosed it right away. He pulled the computer out, and showed me a burned spot on the inside. He said that area controlled the fuel injection system. There are 2 fuses that you can check by taking the left speaker grill and speaker out. Just inside on the right are two fuses that you can't see from under the dash. One of those might be bad. Check all your fuses with a continuity tester if you have one. They may LOOK good, but have a small spot burned out that isn't obvious. It cost me $65 to find out the FIRST time what was wrong. I got a remanufactured ECM with a lifetime warranty for $149 plus shipping from WWW.salespartslocatingservice.net Check those 2 fuses first, and then get a pro to test it out for you.

I have had this problem with both doors on my 77, but mostly on the drivers door. My problem is that a lever in the latch hangs and does not return to the reset position. The handle linkage can't trip the lever to release the latch. Have tried applying grease unsuccessfully and will replace the latch when I get annoyed enough. Until then, I carry a welding rod under the seat to push the lever down. This can be done with no disassembly, just roll down window and insert the rod at rear of window opening.
Try this on your non opening door.Just bought a 77 to add to the 3 Corvettes we already have. The passenger door wouldn't open with either handle and it wasn't locked. I had to get more visable access to the latch mechanism, which meant the door panel had to come off. Got it off with the window down and the door closed. It's easier taking the seat out too, but this seat wouldn't move back to getat the front bolts. Not an easy task taking the door panel off with the seat still in place, but it can be done without ruining anything. Next was fish around with a long screw driver at the latch mechanism that I could now see. Pushing on the correct lever and the door opened. Closed the door 2 more times and had to use the screw driver 2 more times pushing on the lever to open it. What I think happened was the factory grease turned hard in the past 29 years, add in some dust and dirt and now you have grease that turned to glue. The mechanism got a bath (2 cans of Gumout) followed with a bath in WD-40 to wash, then a few squirts of engine oil. It's now opening on it's own with either handle. No adjustments on the rods were necessary as nothing was bent. It actually worked now in probably 50 consecutive tries in the past 2 months with no problems. The drivers door mechanism got the same treatment to ward off future problems with it. This problem was new to me in my 30 years of Corvettin. What seems to be a major problem is actually a simple solution, keep things clean.Ford Explorer will not start immobaliser on?
Hi,
Depending of the year of your vehicule, the anti-theft light is located in the instrument cluster ( "theft" word flashing) or on the top of the dash, close to the defrost grill (a red light). When you turn the key to the ON position (when all the accessories are powered and the dash comes ON), when does the anti-theft light does? Does it shu down or blinks really fast?
It stop blinking and go off. Got a new starter, battery is charged but still don't hear anything when turning the key to start. What can the problem be?

How do you reset the compass on a 1998 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer?
There is a small hole on the underneath side of the rearview mirror. You have to use a paperclip to push the reset button inside and turn the vehicle in slow, short circles until it resets.
It may be a speed sensor failure. Try checking the codes with a OBD II reader. Most Auto Pats Stores will be happy to read the codes for you.
