I have a 97 Ford Ranger, and when the engine light comes on for a while and then turns off. It is because i got bad gas somewhere. What I do is buy some fuel addative and fille the tank with it. Sometimes just one treatment works. Once in a while I have to use two treatments.

Where is the thermostat located on a 1997 Nissan 200SX?

Answerthe thermostat is not on the upper hose of the radiator as most cars you have to folow the lower hose in the radiator all the way in the back of the engine you will find out that the thermostat is right behind the cap of the engine oil on top of the power.

On top of the power what? The engine oil cap is way above the lower radiator hose.

Yeah I am kinda of lost too. Power what? Oh well. My thermostat is fine but I will need to replace mine at some point. I think the thermostat is at the lower part of the rad hose is what he means. The upper it could be as well, depends on year.

When you are looking at the engine, it is on the left backside of the engine. You will see a hose going to the engine block. Take the hose off at the block area and then remove housing on block. the thermostat is inside.

PCV valve locationI have a 4cyl '91 ranger and believe the valve is mounted on the passenger side of the engine bay, towards the back corner. It should have two hoses connected to it.

I also have a 91 ranger 2.3 and mine was located on the drivers side, just in back

of the throttle body, it has two large hoses connected to it so it makes it hard to

find.

Your 88 302 you just replaced the head gaskets and now it wont start its getting spark and fuel the coil is sparking and the Distributor is giving spark to all plugs what else could be the problem?

Check compression. Is it even on all cylinders? The most common problem is getting the plugs wrong. If plug wiring is "180 degrees out" it will NEVER start. Determine plug timing by turning the engine by hand until it comes up to top dead center mark on the harmonic balancer. Then, if you can leave the rocker cover off, watch the rockers for #1. Turn it a little either way and if either rocker is moving, you're not on #1 TDC. IF they're moving, turn the crankshaft 360 degrees (all the way around once) until you're back to the #1 mark on the harmonic balancer. This time, when you turn the crankshaft a little either way you should notice that the #1 rockers don't move. Once you're certain that you're at #1, connect the plug wires to the right place and if everything ELSE is right, it should start.

How do you change headlight and parklight bulbs in 1994 Subaru Impreza?

I know that when changing the Front headlight you just have unplug the plug, you have to just pull it out, then there is a small tab you grab and start to pull the protective rubber cover off. Then there is a small piece of metal that you have to push it and be real easy the metal bracket type thing holds the light in when you get the metal piece off you have to take the bulb make a half a turn and pull it out. DO NOT TOUCH THE NEW BULB!!!!!!!!!! unplug the old bulb plug in the new one put it back in the hole turn it that half a turn, and you use the metal bracket holder whatever you want to call it, lock the light back in place. VERY IMPORTANT IF YOU DONT GET YOUR RUBBER COVER ON RIGHT THAN THE PLUG WILL NOT PLUG IN THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO GET THAT COVER ON, SO YOU CAN PLUG IN YOUR HEADLIGHT. IT SOUNDS LIKE IT MAY BE KINDA HARD BUT I DID IT LAST NIGHT IN 5 MINUTES.

Where could a 92 S-10 2.8 ltr. V-6 be leaking if oil is coming from back of the engine down the transmission?

You need a new intake manifold gasket. Its a very common problem with the 2.8 On the back side of the motor is an oil pump drive gear that is driven by the cam. On older engines this is were the distributor would set. Like a distributor there is an O ring on the shaft its probly hard as a rock and cracked allowing oil to leak by. Good Luck
