I can't say for sure about the 1996 model, but the 1994 Cutlass has a power window relay between the switch and the motor only on the front driver's side window. The relay powers the window all the way up or down (easing the driver's work load) if the switch is pushed in a certain way. The relay is located up under the dash and is very hard to reach on the 1994 model. Again, I can't say where it is located on the 1996 model.

0.5 gap is what Canadian Tire looked up for me.

it means either you have a light not working, someone has installed the wrong kind of bulb somewhere so that the lamp out module doesn't recognize that there is a bulb there, or the lamp out module is faulty.

This is a job you probally going to want to leave to a technician unless you know what you are doing. Changing the orifice tube includes discharging the a/c system, locating the orifice tube, disconnect the hose, replace the tube, then recharge the a/c system. Now this can get a bit trickey unless you have the right tools. This job rerally shouldn't be done in your garage of driveway, your better off have it done right and not making a huge mess with your R134-a refirgerant.

When you buy your AC-Delco recommended spark plugs, the person who identified the spark plugs for you at the parts shop can find the gap on the computer he used to identify, and gap them for you. Most cases, the spark plug is already gaped because it is matched with the car, especially if you buy AC-Delco Plugs as the manufacturer suggests.

No it wont. only 01 02 03 will fit each other. I belive 98 to 2000 are the same junk yard can tell you right away what will fit. make sure that its is the same engine as well theres a 3.8 and a 3.0

I had the same problem on my 2001 windstar , behind the radio there is a part called blend door actuator , got it at advance autoparts , about 60 dollars , took about 30 minutes to change out , plastic gears were stripped , that's what makes clicking sound , now my heat works great, Jerry from Orlando

If it's not the actuator motor, the actual blend door may be broken. This is a very common problem in the Windstars. Typically the dash must be disassembled and the plenum box removed to access the blend door. I tried another method with the heatertreater. It involved removing the glovebox and making an incision in the plenum box to replace the blend door. It saves a lot of time, check your actuator motor to see if it has the stripped gear issue first.

Could be a failed engine coolant temperature sensor.

Easy enough to replace and not too expensive.

Check both the fuses under the left side of the dashboaed, near the hood releae and don't forget to check the relays right next to the fuse box. See if any of the relays are unusully warm (may be grounding out)

the spark plug gap is .40

i found it easier to remove the throttle body to access the tps sensor. the screws can be somewhat difficult to loosen due to corrosion and position of the sensor.

Actually it does help to remove it. Just did this on my 96 Windstar. Visit Autozone, and pick up the socket for the oil pressure switch(runs $5.99 here in NV). It will make removing and installing so much easier. Also, while at Autozone, ask about the removal kit for the pulley on the power steering pump. If you don't want the hassle of doing it yourself, the $93 that was charged is not bad. I chose not to, as they wanted $1200 for repairs that I have done for $400. Good luck with whatever you choose!

To see the number of the fuses you can either consult your manual or it's posted inside the cover when you open the fuse boxes.

my alarm goes off at random times. i had the alarm module changed for $700 and it still goes off. come home from work at 4 and it goes off at 10. before the alarm module was changed it went off at 12, 2 and 4 in the morning.

A mechanic friend of mine told us that's just the way our windstar is. That for some reason the system cannot completely bleed itself of air and therefore will have that groaning sound but it will run perfectly fine. Hope this helps.

GO to www.courtesyparts.com. You should be abble to find a diagram and the parts there. There is probably 3 total. One will probably at or near the back of the cat and the other two up on the head pipe (1 on the left and 1 on the right).

It is important to keep the spark plug gap in mind when replacing the spark plugs of a car. For a 2003 Kia Spectra the spark plug gap is .039-.043 inches.
