If it burst because it was defective or just worn out and you did not continue to drive the engine until it overheated then no damage was done. However, if it burst because the engine overheated then you may have blown the head gasket, and you should have it looked at by a professional mechanic. Driving a car with a blown head gasket will do serious damage to the engine.

I am also trying to change my antenna on a Montero Limited 02 and found a antenna on EBAY but you have to replace everything. So far I've been able to discover that apparently it's under the hood, also tied to the Radio, possibly with the interior lighting -- however none of those items are listed on my diagram in the car fuse boxes... so the search continues for me.

On my son's 1987 Honda Accord the lighter is fused with the interior lights. It is a 15 amp fuse that is under the hood right behind the battery.

Also i might add that the cigarette lighter fuse for the 1990 Honda accord ex it is also located not in the vehicle itself but under the hood behid the air intake/filter and a 15 amp fused also part of the interior light circuitry as per the 1987/86

Try the nearest Honda dealership and ask for an owners manual for this car or try the library; they should have repair manuals that will have this info. Make a copy.

Review the data for the vehicle online at a free information site, like the troubleshooting at autozone's site, or buy a manual for your model to get the correct idle speed. Normally, adjusting idle speed correctly requires setting the car to a diagnostic mode. This is often done by shorting specific connectors on a diagnostic connector, ensuring the vehicle is warmed up, the AC is off, it is in Park, and all accessories are turned off. In diagnostic mode, you should be able to set the timing (using a light normally) by rotating the distributor (for cars with distributors only). While you are in that mode, you can also check the idle speed, and adjust if your idle control system allows adjustment. Many vehicles do not allow or make no provision for adjustment. While timing can affect idle, the statement "I think you should advance the timing by adjusting the distributer a little until the RPM goes to where you need it" is not accurate. Set the timing to the specified value, then adjust idle speed. Advancing timing too far causes increased NOx emissions and stress or pinging, (and more power, to a point), reducing it too far causes loss of power and can burn valves. If your idle is still not stable after setting it to the specified value, begin troubleshooting per normal techniques.. like, checking EGR, for vacuum leaks, ignition issues, fuel delivery, etc.

If the CV boot is torn open forget about re-booting the joint, buy a remanufactured axle and replace it. If the boot is starting to crack or separate but has not torn open to the point you can see the cv joint itself you can re-boot it.

To replace the boot and/or halfshaft axle: First, remove the wheel cover and loosen the 36mm nut holding the joint to the bearing. Then raise the vehicle and remove the lower ball joint from the lower control arm and the knuckle. If your working on the passenger side, drain the transmission. Slide the half shaft out of the knuckle then use a prybar and pry the inboard end of the shaft out of the transmission or intermediate shaft, which ever should apply. Be careful not to damage the seal in the transmission. Installing the shaft is the reverse of removal. The inboard side of the shaft should snap right back into the intermediate shaft and transmission by means of a snap ring on the end of the shaft.
