It's one of the worst fears of parents ... getting a fever down on their infant and if they can't then it's off to the ER. Children can have high temperatures for no apparent reason. It is compulsion. You started to lie for what ever reason and it felt good, people probably thought it was great (if they were funny/good things) and you kept going to entertain them. Because you kept on going it has become you. It is part of you now and you really can't stop and that is why it is a compulsion. You will have to see a psychiatrist to help you sort it out. It depends on the ways they use others. A manipulator is one type of person who uses others. They want you do to something for them that you might not want to do, and it often involves sex, money, or attention. They may twist your emotions, badger you, or tell you sweet little lies, anything to get what they want, and you usually get the short end of it.

An elderly woman met a man who kept calling her. He'd promise he'd come see her if she sent money, and she did. He'd make excuses why he never came. Meanwhile, he was bragging to his friends how this woman in another state was gullible and sending him free money. Her extended family heard what he was saying and tried to tell her, but she was lonely and didn't want to accept the fact she was being used.

Another type would be a conman. Confidence men (and women) are scam artists. They may prey upon your greed or other weaknesses to feed their own greed. They may claim to turn your money into more money doing something illegal, and tell you not to tell, claiming you may go to jail or others would find out and it would no longer work. So you give them money a couple of times, and they give you that and some of their own back that they claim came from illegal proceeds. That is to set you up for the actual scam where they take a large sum of your money and never come back, and leaving you too afraid to involve the police.

Just my thoughts and opinions. Although it may be fun for her and others around her, it is NOT appropriate behavior for ANYONE, male or female, on the bus, to do so as it may distract the bus driver, and cause an accident. With any bubbles, there is ALWAYS someone with a ready finger to poke it and burst it, more often than not creating a mess. The gum may go only on the bubble maker, but usually goes onto fingers and onto the bus seat in front of the one blowing bubbles as well, necessitating someone to clean the gum off of the seat. I thought ALL buses had rules against chewing gum on the bus, because of this and other reasons, like it accidentally drops out of mouths onto the floor, is left there for someone to step into and track across the entire bus floor, as well as the not so funny kid/kids who sticks his/her wad of gum under the seat (for posterity?), and the fact that it may be a possible choking hazard for the gum chewer, and a health hazard, with saliva all over it, to one who has to pick it up or clean it up.
