How do you recharge the air conditioning on a 1990 for bronco with a 5.8 engine?

Using a set of a/c gauges put the blue hose on the low side (suction side) and the red hose on the high side (discharge side) and make sure that there is no freon in the system and if you have freon in the system then you will have to go to an automotive a/c shop and have them reclaim it for you..

Put the yellow hose on your vacuum pump and let it run for about 1 hour and then let it sit for 1 hour so that you can see if it will at least hold the vacuum pulled.

If so then let it run for an additional hour and then start the recharging process remembering to keep the low side readings between 30 to 40psi and the high side between 200 to 250psi depending on the outside temperature…………….

Will Mazda 6 17alloys fit a 2000 Mazda MPV?

yes. it will drop your ride height one inch and may change the camber of your tires. (camber= the angle of the tires curbe stance.) 2006 Mazda 3 sedan has 16 inch rims and tires... switched to speed 3 rims. they sit like this now / \ not that extreme though. this causes uneven tire wear. the way to correct this is to purchase "adjustable camber links" if you change the suspension you will have to get the camber links too. you will have the same problem.

How do you change a starter in a 1996 Mazda MPV 4wd?

Replace your starter without removing alternator, RH axle, power steering pump or splash pan.

1 Disconnect positive from battery.

2 Jack up RH side and use jack stands.

3 On 4WD, disconnect the 4 bolts to all wheel drive and slide axle out of your way.

4 Remove 3 bolts from starter.

5 Remove bolt holding wire harness to fuel line.

6 Access starter from under the hood.

7 Wiggle starter to free it up.

8 Disconnect 2 wires.

9 You can get starter out by wiggling it between engine and RH inner fender.

10 This is important: Follow coolant hose that is right above the starter to where it connects with metal pipe. Disconnect it and put a plug into the hose end. Now tie a tie strap to the top of the hose. Now weave another long tie strap to that one and attach it around a solid object like an intake tube. Now keep pulling on the hose until it is very tight. This will get it out of your way down below so you can get the new starter in.

Now install new starter in reverse order.

Where is the fuel filter located on a 2002 Mazda MPV?

I just took mine to a mechanic to change the fuel filter on my '02 Mazda MPV "ES" and he showed me a diagram that indicates that it is located inside the Fuel Tank. He said that you have to take the Mini-Van with the tank almost empty. They'll have to remove the tank in order to replace the filter. The whole thing is schedule to be a 3 hours job, so if they charge by labor hour, you can figure out 3 X hourly rate. Hope this helps.

How do you remove a crankshaft pulley bolt on a 1990 Mazda MPV 3.0l?

Remember, this process can only be done with the "old timing belt" in place. So don't rush to take things apart, only to find that the Haynes book for crank bolt removal does not always work. Next, proceed to removal and you need a 21 MM socket and 1/2 inch breaker bar. Position the socket on the crank bolt, and then place the handle of the breaker bar on the frame side next to the A/C compressor (some like to place breaker bar on the A/C compressor- I feel better about using the van frame). Next, remove the distributor coil wire to prevent accidental start up, and then "bump" or slightly crank the engine. Believe me this works well at dislodging a very stubborn and big bolt!

How do I replace the rear brake light on a Mazda 5 sport?

Since no model year was given for the Mazda 5, here is the general procedure for brake light bulb replacement: Purchase the correct replacement brake light bulb(s) first, before disassembling the vehicle. See sources and related links below for replacement brake light bulb information. Then consult your owner's manual for the replacement procedure. As simple as it sounds, the owner's manual is the best place to start for brake light bulb replacement instructions and illustrations. You may want to consider replacing both left and right at the same time in order to keep brightness and color equal (optional).

How do you replace parking light on a Mazda MPV?

Headlight & Running / Parking Light (the little clear bulb embedded inside my 2003 MPV's headlight; opposite side of orange turn signal bulb).

The Driver's side is more involved but can easily be done by the least-wrench-savvy. The Key is to do the Passenger Side first; might as well replace both bulbs while you're in there, it's super-easy to reach & will help you understand how it pieces work together.

Tools you'll need are 10mm wrenches (preferably a socket set wrench & open/box-ended wrench) plus a flat head screw driver.

Passenger Side: reach in and grab that long-white plastic stem coming out of the bulb socket. Rotate/twist top toward the grill. It'll pop/release & you can pull it out for easy replacement. Doing the headlight next, you'll want to pinch the sides to detach black clip/wires from bulb connectors, remove the rubber gasket and then disconnect the metal wire clip that holds the headlight bulb in place (hinges on drivers side of the bulb; clips into passenger side). Replacement obviously the reverse of above; you can visualize what's going on by looking into/through the headlight bulb.

Driver Side: "accessibility" is The Difficulty on this side. I unscrewed two screws on grill/bumper so that I could see/reach in there better (not entirely necessary but helpful). I also removed the battery (mounting bar took one screw; and disconnected the Pos..then Neg terminals & pulled out with it's shield.) Next, I needed to remove the top cap of the P.O.S. Vent cap obstructing my work...took off the securement screw and used the flathead screwdriver to push in tab to release that angled piece from the main stem.

Now, you're ready to replace bulbs just as you did the Passenger side...and for running light you can reach in one hand into access crack where grill was screwed into the frame and another hand on back side to assist. Headlight same as Passenger Side, too: pull rubber gasket (marked "top"); unclip the securing wire and observe through headlight.

It also helped to me shinning flashlight into back side because from the front of headlight area I could make everything out.

Finally, two addt'l notes on the headlight bulb: 1. don't handle the bulb with your bare hands (even clean hands have oils) and 2. the three electrical connection pins were positioned in triangle shape with a single pin on top...two other pins were below (just like you found on Passenger Side).

You'll do well; piece of cake. So have chilled malted beverages ready for shop clean up...

Is it possible to fix the timing belt tensioner on a Mazda MPV myself?

Yes but it inot easy. I have done it 3 times. You need to first get a repair manual with photos to follow and read it carefully, and get all the needed supplies and tools. you might want to use a engine cleaner degreaser and a hose or steam clean your motor so it will be easier to work on and you can clearly see all the parts. You can do it without taking of the front grill and bumper and only removing the radiator and fan but is easier to see and get to if you reemove th front bumper an grill , radiator, fan etc. on my 91 v6 the hard part was getting the Bolt on the Main crankshaft to loosen up . also lining up the gears with the corect timing marks is VERY Very Very IMPORTANT, you can doit if you are fairly mechanicaly intelligent and patient and resourceful, best to have helpful friend who has some expierience to call or come by if you have questions or get stuck. there are usually unexpected chanllenges on most projects of this type ; one bolt may be really stuborn or even break or strip off or out,be ready to maybe replace the belt and possibaly the water pump while you are in ther since they are all intertwined, it can be help full to take Digital or polaroid pictures along the way to remind you of how things were assembled in the first place, you may want to replace your belts and hose to while you already have them off . and ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! Shop around for parts and ask about a "timing best kit" that will probaly sve you some $ besure to ask what is included in the KIT? you may want to get a piece of card board, 1 ft x 1 ft or so and draw the general shape of the timing belt covers on it and the approximae positions of the bolts you are removing and then push them through the cardboard to hold them until you reassemble since they are different lengths and need to be correctly placed. Good luck My Friend Dave 949 678-7103

Why is there a ticking sound coming from the engine on a 1995 MPV?

its normal ,when u have lots of miles-your values are very worn, ( if ) u have alot of miles on it, if so try some stp oil treatment, once a week., if not, then u have a bad engine, take to a engine repair shop, to be checked out.

I replaced my passenger side exhaust gasket when it blew because of a warped exhaust manifold which broke the bolt closest to the fire wall. The center port is higher than either end. Needs to be milled or filed and a new gasket re-installed. When I did that, my ticking sound went away.

i used the "mystery oil" and worked pretty good.

Why would the blinker be acting up when you put it on to turn the blinker wont flash on the outside or inside of the car and the flasher blinks double time outside lights work Could it be the flasher?

First of all let me say that most vehichles have 2 flashers, 1 for the hazzard lights and 1 for the blinkers. If you turn the blinker switch to either side and lights inside and out do not flash or light up then the most common problems are a blown fuse or the blinker switch itself could be bad. As for the hazzards blinking double time, it is possible the flasher could be going bad. One other possibility, autos that have had trailor light hookups installed have been found with bad grounds and/or wires that have rubbed into causing tail, blinker and stop lights not to work correctly
