Why would the oil pressure gauge show no oil pressure on a 1997 Mercury Mountaineer 5.0 liter?

Are you familiar with Fords and their displaying of low oil pressure? Most that I have ever known, will barely show a reading. Why is this? Heck, I guess no one knows- it's a mystery. But you can rebuild an engine, and the oil pressure will show about half across the guage, and within a month's time it will have tapered off to nothing. Strange, but that is how it is. the oil sending unit is defective

Why would the doors not lock and the front passenger window only roll down from the drivers side on a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer?

for the window it seems like you need to check the fuse, or maybe you need a new switch on that side. Also make sure that you do not have the windows on lock, cause I've done that once. When my window would not come back up it was the switch in the drivers door that went bad. Good luck

How do you find the factory five digit number for the keyless entry on a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer?

I have a 2002. I just located my 5 digit code. It is on a white sticker in bold print. Mine was located on the (remote lock/unlock actuator box.) this box is located behind the interior trim piece that covers the seat belt adjuster just below the headliner of your car; passenger side; back seat. (not the third row if you have it) it should be smack dab inbetween the rear passenger side door window, and the rear side window of the cargo area. But just in case they relocated it from 2002 to 2006, here is a hint: use your keyless remote, and start clicking it and try listening for the clicking of that box behind one of the interior panels. Once you locate that sound, the panels simply pop out and back in. Um, but I have a suggestion: go to Walmart and buy a car radio install kit, it's only $10-15. But it has a miniature orange polymer prytool. Don't use a screw driver or anything metal! I don't want you to scratch or crack the molding. This orange prytool is wonderful! You can use all kinds of force and it won't damage the pieces in your car!

I promise this will help you find it! I had people lie to me telling me it was on the inside panel of tailgate, under the steering column! But I verified that ford puts it directly on the actuator box. So I took my remote and started putting my ears up to the panels as I locked and unlocked using the keyless remote buttons! I hope I wasn't too redundant!
