Either replace the engine ECM or have the existing one reflashed with new parameters.

Location: the Airfilter should be located next to the battery, there are two metal straps or hooks that need to be released by unstrapping them upward motion. Once released you hold the air filter with both hands until released and pull up, make sure you place the new air filter exactly as the old one was in order to prevent air flow leakage.

89-99 eclipses and talons have it. So do lasers but they only lasted till like 94 I think cause there all the same car. The bump is for the your timing belt. It gives it extra clearance. It only helps give clearance for the 4g63 turbo eclipses. The 420a engined gs/rs eclipses the bump serves no purpis other than make some idiots think your cars turbo.

P1390 indicates your timing belt skipped one or more teeth...

Check the fuse for the radio - check inside the car first, driver side console - then the fuse box under the hood.

you need to call mitsubishi(1-888-mitsu2007) and give them the stereo model number and serial number along with your vin. they will then tell you your code. i bought an eclipse and i had to do the same thing

You need to get the unlock CD that came with the deck. I have this same problem as the Jazz CD that came with mine was stolen in a CD case with my other stuff.

If you can prove you bought the deck or it's registered to you, Eclipse will send you a replacement disc to unlock it.

Same as most cars. Start the engine, loosen the distributor and use a timing light to set it to the degree that the factory calls for on the catalyst sticker. I would recommend you buy a chilton manual or similar that explains the steps in more detail specific to your car.

the Egr Valve is located behind the the air intake (right in front of firewall) about 6 to 8 inches from the top, and it has two 10mm bolts one on top and one on bottom, make sure to take out the metal gasket upon removal. (do this when the engine is cool)

If it is a 2000 Eclipse that has a CD player and a cassette, you need to put in the code and then press the Tape button, radio will come on right away.

A good condition 1999 Eclipse is worth about $3,500.00

What it probably needs is to be driven so it can relearn it's idle. After disconnecting the batery, the Computer loses it's memory. IT needs to be driven so it can make new fuel-air adjustments to the conditions it has. Pukenstein@aol.com

You don't. It's a major process, you have to remove the entire dash including the steering wheel, center counsel, air bags. everything. To remove the heater hoses from the fire wall are a headache. And to find a Heater Core is a another chore.

I replaced the heater core in my 96 Eclipse. I took me 2 month's to find a heater core, the local parts stores could not get one in a timley matter. I had to order it from a dealer in New Jersey. I live in New Mexico. You sell the car and take a loss if you need to. The whole process takes about 2 full days.

check the power plug (looks like a cig. lighter plug) on the console does it have power? Have you checked the fuse panel just inside the drivers door? Pull off the cover - almost looks like part of the dash - and check there. Being it's a 2000, you know you have to have the code for the radio to enable it once it's lost power. If you don't have it (code), you'll need the serial number from the back of the radio. Then call a dealer and ask for service dept and tell them what you need. using the radio select buttons 1 thru 4 enter the code. after entering press CD selector.

Pressure will build up and eventually it will blow your valve cover gasket, and you are going to have oil all over your engine.

Well I'm not sure about the lights, but if you want the horn honking gone, pop the hood, look down to your right, and look for a round black plastic piece with an opening in it that looks kind of like a snail's shell. Disconnect the wire clip that leads into it and the horn is gone. Your regular horn in the steering wheel will still work too.

In order to remove the whole assembly, you have to remove the front bumper cover which will expose a bolt on the bottom of the assembly which has to be removed...along with the bolt on top of the radiator support beam on each headlight!
