Your cheapest repair is to replace the entire antenna unit with a new one. There are many aftermarket units that will work on this car. An OEM unit will be very expensive. Check with your local Auto Parts Stores. You could also look in a Salvage Yard for a used unit.

An engine is measured by the volume of air inside the piston bores. If you've seen an oil commercial and you see those round things hammering up and down, that's a piston. It sits in a sleeve and when it gets to the top, the plug fires, and drives it down again. That's where your drive power comes from. So if you have a 3.2 liter engine, the total amount of air that can be displaced in all the cylinders totals 3.2 liters. If you want to know how much each cylinder can displace you need to divide the volume (3.2 liters) by the number of cylinders you have, and I'd say a 3.2 is almost certainly a 6 cylinder jobbie. So 3.2 liters is equal to 3200 cubic centimeters divided by 6 is about 530 cubic centimeters or, to come back American again, each cylinder has a volume of about half a quart, mas o minos. Phil

How do you remove/replace a water pump on a 1996 Infiniti J30? Remove radiator hoses. Remove induction tubing for the air filter. Remove the fan and all belts. Remove timing belt cover. Remove and replace thermostat at same time as pump. The water pump is BEHIND the timing belt. The timing belt will need replacing at this time to obtain access to the pump. I tried to replace mine on the side of the road in emergency situation by prying the timing belt out of the way. It worked, but I damaged the belt and the tensioner. And thusly, had to go back and replace those too. But common sense in the labor department: Replace the thermostat, water pump, fan blades and fan clutch, ALL radiator hoses, bypass hoses and clamps, radiator and belts at the same time. I have 250k on my J30, and these have all needed replacing eventually.

240SX came with 2 different lug patterns. All 1989 to 1994 240sx came with a 4 lug 4x114.3 pattern. While the 1995-1998 240sx SE/LE's came with a 5 lug 5x114.3 pattern. Preferrably you'd want to find a wheel with less than +30 offset for 240SX's.

It could be the )2 sensors are old and tired but most often it means the Catalist needs to be replaced.

Hi, I think I might have an answer to the FOG LIGHTS part of the question. I had the same problem on my 1995 Pathfinder and the solution was within the very fog light. Check the contacts on the fog lights. They might be shortened/grounded. So in order to fix it, use some electrical tape and, hopefully, it should resolve the problem.

I have a 1998 Jimmy SLT, automatic with floor shifter. It is easier than you might think. If you look closely on the back of the shifter knob there is a retaining pin, looks like a large brad type nail, just pry it out and lift up.

Have vehicle scanned to determine the problem

Verify your cold tire pressure is correct according to manufacturer spec (usually found on driver's door or door jam). Most of the time this is a faulty or damaged sensor due to moisture from air compressors, damage from sloppy tire installation or fix-a-flat products that are not compatible or guaranteed to be safe for these sensors. The first issue is easy to fix and can save you money over time by finding a shop that offers nitrogen for your tires. Nitrogen doesn't retain moisture as air does and the larger molecules prevent it from leaking out over time. This keeps your tire pressure at the proper level which prevents your mileage from dropping saving you money. Racing teams have used it for years.

I suppose you could, but these idler pulley's are not that expensive to replace the whole thing. They do fail (a weakpoint for these motors), but usually give some audible warning, also check for loosness. Do your best to purchase the steel idler pulley and the bearing will come with. When these items do "let go" they can leave you stranded, if you see a problem replace as soon as possible. Hope this helps. "G"

that depends on whats wrong with the old one. if all the bolts are fine (there usually not) you can get the part for about 75 to 100 bucks. mechanics normally charge 25+ an hour. if the bolt is broken off in the head you could be looking at some time.

not positive about this but you may want to check the grounds where they are attached to the body. you may have to replace the wire ends on a clean spot (bare metal) and re-screw them down....
