I brought my 1997 pathfinder to Nissan and they told me that this happens all the time when you reach a certain km. What it is is a small valve at the back of the transmission that does not close properly when the engine is cold. That small valve needs to be replaced, but the problem it's way at the back so having your transmission completely redone is a better way to go.

This valve does not close the pressure cannot build up and you cannot go into reverse.... what you can do if it's just starting to do this... try putting it in drive then reverse or warming up the car before taking off or what Nissan told me which is really stupid..... park the car in backwards....

The Nissan uses a series of resistance wires to change the speeds on the blower motor and this unit can be found in the heat box right near the fan motor. It is in the airstream after the fan to allow cooling of the resitor wires by the air produced by the fan

I think that in all of the Sunfire engines, the plugs are in a row across the

front of the engine. Try locating and following the plug wires to help you.

You can add power steering fluid to your Nissan Pathfinder by adding it to the power steering reservoir. The power steering reservoir will be near the firewall in the engine compartment.

The alternator would be your best bet. Go get it tested.

To reset the ABS light on a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder, disconnect the battery for 10 minutes. A Nissan dealer can also reset the light with a computer.

First one high side under front of truck next to washer bottle. Look where your washer pump is and then look straight across. Its easy to take out. Remove the two 10mm bolts holding tank in and the clip. Take bolt out of horn on rail and then unplug. Second horn which is low side is under the passenger side same place on. On rail leading down to radiator support behind the turn signals.

HAHA that's funny Regular unleaded is fine for these cars. No need to spend the extra on super......Use only major brand gas though not the cheaper no names as they get the stale gas from the major guys......

OP is WRONG. your sensors will go out one by one over time anyway, its called normal wear and tear. Regular unleaded 87 octane will work just fine in your saturn. unless you have modified the motor and raised the compression ratio above what it was from the factory. (9.5:1 iirc) unless you are driving a vehicle with a high compression ratio, premium is a waste of money, and midgrade is just a rip off. -airframer1189

A 2006 Nissan Pathfinder has a timing chain. For more details on location and repair, check your owners manual.

It is located directly underneath the lower right side of the steering wheel under the dash. To see it, you have to get your head by the pedals then look up and back towards the cabin. It will have a lot, 100+, wires coming out of it.

A 1999 Lincoln Town Car has a 4.6L V8. Ever since (I believe) 1991 they have had this engine.

Driver Manual recommend SAE 5W-30 but warmer climate will allow 10w-30

The 2013 Nissan Rogue has a continuously variable-speed automatic.

Open the hood and look for a bolt/screw in the corner, over the headlight (you'll see that it holds the enclosure via a flat piece of plastic. Remove the bolt/screw and pull the enclosure forward. The problem with this design is that the metal pin that holds the enclosure to the car gets rusted after a while and expands. This can result in the pin breaking off as you pull on the enclosure. There doesn't seem to be anyway around this, since the only access to the pin is by removing the enclosure. If this happens, you can try and glue the pin back on (which, in my experience doesn't last too long), or replace it with a new one (aftermarket is much cheaper and looks just as good). Once you've removed/broken the enclosure, twist off the bulb holder and remove/replace the bulb.

In 2010, on my 2001 pathfinder the enclosure was indeed stuck and I was loath to break off the"metal pin" so I spent some extra time on this. I was changing the passen ger side front turnsignal. So from the underside in front of the tire, I removed 3 screws holding down the lower part of the black plastic mud flap that is attached to the plastic bumper. Once these are out it is easy to peel the flap up a bit and see inside. This by the way is how you have to change the fog light. But from below with a mirror was able to see the pin which was black plastic. The square plastic pin assembly (and pin) snaps into in a square metal holder that is cast into the car frame. Anyways, from below and using a long (12") slot screw driver I was able to insert the slot between the plastic assembly and the metal holder and twist a bit until the pin came loose. Then from the front of the car the light assembly finally comes out snd its easy to change the bulb and snap the pin back in.

The driver side turn signal is much hard to loosen up from under the car because there are other parts in the way on that side.

purchase it with a gasket and replace it but it doesn't work some time if you looking forward to kill your check-engine light.

The first thing I would do is to take the shift lever cover off to make shure it is not broken. Then crawl under the car to make shure the linkage is not broken where it connects to the shifter under the car. next i would look at the top of the transmission on the driver to check the other end of the linkage. if the linkage moves when you shift gears then the problem is in the transmisssion. At that point push it down a hill into the weeds and buy a new car.

Turn key to on position,just before start position, and you should here the pump pressure up for 2-3 seconds and then shut off .You must be listening under back of vehicle near fuel tank, so you'll need some one to turn on ignition while you listen .Try it several times ,with a short break in between trys , but it should make abuzzing sound every time.

The 2012 Nissan Pathfinder runs on premium unleaded (recommended).
