Where is the blower motor resister in a 2001 Grand Prix?
It should be next to the glove box. There should be a small removable insert inside the glove box door on the right. Pull this open, and there will be a fuse box with the blower motor fuses. There's one for the lower settings, and a separate fuse for the "High" setting.
AnswerYou asked where the resistor was not the fuse. The above answer gave the fuse location. The resistor is located under the dash on the passenger side. I believe there are 3 screws holding it on. It's a pain getting up there and getting it out so be patient. Answer 3For pics and a write up on how to replace check out the following website:http://www.oqcgp.com/forum/kb.php?mode=article&k=70

How do you install rear speakers in a 2002 Pontiac grand prix?
to remove or change rear speakers on 97 to 03 grand prix..where carpet meets the bottom of rear bench on each side there is tabs, pul tabs and lift out rear seat ,there are two bolts holding in the bottom of the seat back one on each side above the seat pots.Remove the seat back by sliding up then out towards front of car(don't force hard! slide up first then pull outward!)the rear deck has bolts holding it down now in plain sight. remove the bolts/screws and slide the seat belts out of the deck and remove upward and out. You will now see the speakers are screwed in from the top. ps. unplug the 3" or 31/4" whatever they they are crap!use good 6by9 capped for 80!
Where is the power steering reservior located on a 2007 pontic g6?
If you look on the passenger side of the engine compartment, you will see a black reservoir (almost box shaped) container with a screw cap ( about 1-1/2to 2" dia. with dipstick attached) mounted between the drive belts and the air intake at the top of the engine. In my 2000 SE the cap is is clealry marked with filling reccommenations and warings. Be CAREFUL NOT TO OVERFILL over the mark on the dip stick- patience is key here to avoid uneccessary repairs later on. If yo have a GT, I imagine it would be the same general location, not sur with the GTP's because of the super charger proximaty. Good luck - Len, NJ.
AnswerGreat answer above, just remember to check it while hot!Tom

How do I replace front wheel bearing on a 2004 Pontiac grand am?
Here is a great set of instructions for the installation of a GM front wheel hub bearing assembly. One of our customers submitted this for us to show to the public. Hopefully anyone thinking about tackling this job will find these helpful. Removal
1. Remove hub cap/dust cover. Tip: If you do not have an impact wrench (air operated gun), you may want to remove the center axle nut at this point. Removing this nut with the wheel still on and before jacking up the vehicle, will make it much easier and give you enough leverage to get it loose with a regular ratchet or breaker bar (recommended). You may have access to the axle nut without removing the wheel. If you do not have access, you can remove the wheel and put the spare tire/wheel on. The spare wheel has a very large center hole and gives you access to the center axle nut. With the vehicle back on the ground, you can put the breaker bar with the proper size axle nut socket, on the nut and loosen it. Then jack up the vehicle and remove the wheel. 2. Jack up vehicle and support properly. **We know you know, but be very careful. You should always put a jack stand under the vehicle and use that to supprt the vehicle, not the jack. Also you should also use wheel ckocks to prevent the vehicle from accidentally rolling. If you are doing do-it-yourself repairs often, it is wise to buy good quality tools and equipment. This can help get the job done quicker and certainly safer. 3. Remove lug nuts using 19mm socket. Remove wheel and set aside. 4. Remove 2 caliper mounting bolts using a 15mm socket. Set caliper aside. Do not let it hang from rubber brake hose. 5. Remove 2 caliper mount bolts using 15mm socket Set caliper mount aside. 6. Remove brake rotor by sliding it off and set aside. NOTE: If the brake rotor has never been removed, their may be 2 small screws or retainers holding it in place. Remove these and the rotor will slide off. If it is stuck, you can lightly tap it with a hammer. 7. Remove 3 hub mounting bolts using 13mm socket. These are located on the inside of the steering knuckle next to the outer CV boot. A 3/8's drive ratchet with swivel and extension is best for this. Also if you are having trouble, look closely at how you have it jacked up. You may be able to reposition the jack and change the angle of the axle. If you have it jacked up under the control arm, you still have the suspension compressed. If you jacked it up by the frame rail, the suspension is opened up and may give you a better angle. Again be very careful with the jack and always use a jack stand for support. You can always use more then one jack stand to help as a safety also. 8. Remove axle nut using 1 5/16″ or 34mm socket. 9. Unhook and then unplug the ABS sensor. 10. Remove hub assembly. Be careful to make sure the axle splines are free from the hub. Once you have the axle nut off you should be able to push the axle in towards the engine with the bottom of the palm of your hand. If it is stuck, you can rethread the axle nut 1-2 threads, then place the socket back on and tap it with a hammer. This is mainly to assure the axle does nte get pulled out while pulling off the hub. The hub may also require a slight tap with a hammer or very rarely a puller to get the hub loose. Hit the hub and pry with a screwdriver or small prybar until hub comes out. (Most Auto Zone or Advance Auto Parts stores will allow you to borrow a puller if needed.) 11. Clean mounting area with a wire brush so new hub slides on easily. Make sure there is no rust or material that may cause the hub to not sit flush. 12. Install new hub assembly. 13. Use thread locker on the 3, 13mm mounting bolts and tighten. **GM recommends replacing these bolts every time they are removed. This is because the torque can be affected by re-using the bolts. The threads stretch when the are originally installed/removed and they can never really be torqued properly again. Also it is strongly recommended to replace the axle nut for the same reason** 14. Hook up the new sensor plug. 15. Install the axle nut using a 1 5/16″ or 34mm socket. VERY IMPORTANT!!! Do not over torque or under torque this nut. Also it is strongly recommended to never use an impact wrench to tighten this nut. Please tighten with a torque wrench to 118 ft. Lbs.(Other year and model vehicle torques specs may differ, please email us if you would like to know yours. Over or under torqueing this nut is the number one cause of premature bearing failure!!!!!!( It is also recommended to replace this nut as the threads will usually be stretched from being installed and removed. Threads will be stretched if installed with an impact wrench and also the bearing will be squeezed excessively which will cause premature failure. 16. Slide on the brake rotor. 17. Use a tiny bit of thread locker on the 2, 15mm caliper mount bolts and tighten. 18. Install the caliper mount bolts using a 15mm socket. 19. Install the wheel using a 19mm socket (Torque lug nuts with torque wrench to 100 Ft. Lbs.) and press hub dust cover into place.

How do you change the exterior door handles on a 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix?
On the inside of the door is a plastic cover that comes off with the removal of two nuts. From under the cover, you can access the bolts that hold the handle on. Once you get in there it is quite simple. Also note that if the handle starts to stick, you can adjust it with "Latch mechanism arm thingy" also accessible under the cover on the inside of the door.
Does the cowling at the bottom of the windshield need to be sealed when the windshield is replaced?
No. I am an autoglass installer of 22 years experience and cowls neither help retain the glass nor keep water out of the vehicle. In theory, you could remove the cowl and drive the car with no ill effects.
Where is the temperature sensor on a 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix?
Its located on the radiator passanger side about 3" below the radiator cap.
I have a 2002 grand prix GT that whenever I fill up with speedway gas the check engine light comes on. I pulled the code at auto zone and i got a "oxygen sensor 1,2 slow to respond" code. It was a warning sign that my oxygen sensors were on the way out. After about 3 months i had to replace 2 of the sensors located before the Catalytic converter. It all depends on whats wrong, it could be a multitude of problems, If you have a old or faulty evaporative canister and purge valve the weather can make the light come one and off. Or it could be a warning sign that a part or sensor may fail soon, as it was in my case. take it to a auto parts store when the light is on. most of them will hook up a code reader to you car for free. You also can rent them so that when the code comes on you can plug it in to the OBD2 port and find out whats wrong.
What is the sequence for spark plug wires on a 1988 Grand Prix 2.8L?
123456 is the firing order ...or, just call a dealer. They will tell you.
You could have low air presure in the right front tire or a draging right front brake. Also a bad right front wheel bearing, a bent tie rod or a bent lower control arm. Additionally, "Negative Caster" of the wheel alignment (right-side) will definitely cause steering to turn automatically to the right while driving in a level area, or roadway. ......Certified Mechanic. ......."Good Luck!"
