What is the grinding noise you hear in your car when you first take off?
I had the same problem with my '93 Mercury Tracer. If you look under the hood, you should see the catalytic converter at the bottom, on top of that is a heat shield thing, just simple bend that back a bit, and it should fix the "Griding noise." At least, that's what I did to fix my problem.
The answer is yes! My freind had a 1988 Caprice and the specified size was something around $270. I said that is crazy when I can buy a 3 core Modine at Advance that is slightly (maybe 2") longer but the same height and same connections. I bought it for around $80 and even with the anti-freeeze it was under a hundy. What I did was just bend the transmission fluid lines ober a bit but it really fit great. I put a bunch of videos I took on youtube. Many are about cars and driving, some about travel and others just plain stupid. Hope this keeps you cool. vbdenny
Can a repo man ram your vehicle while you are still in it?
No. You can not be pulled over or forced out of your vehicle during a repossession. It has to, by law, be accomplished "peacably."
Forever. But what you can do is ask for a release of lien from the dealer. Once you get a release of lien from the dealer, you go threw the normal titled process in your state to obtain a lost title.
Need personal CDL tainer for truck driving?
You're better off just to go to a school. Even if you get a personal CDL instructor, there's still the matter of having a vehicle available to road test in. If you really wanted to go it on your own, the written test part is as simple as getting the CDL handbook from your DMV office (since CDLs are federally regulated, the handbooks are the same in every state, except for the foreword), studying it, and taking your written tests at the DMV.
For all classes of CDL, you'll need to study the following sections:
If needed, you'll also have to study:
Once you've completed your necessary written tests, you'll get a learner's permit. If you have a Class C licence prior, your new one will say "CPA" (if you're getting a learner's permit for a Class A), "CPB" (for Class B), etc.
You cannot legally operate a commercial vehicle - even in the presence of a licenced CDL driver - without first having obtained the permit for it.
Afterwards, you'll go through your road training (but you'll need to find someone or a company willing to let you train with their vehicle), and you'll take your road test.
You can road test in any combination which merits the class of licence you're applying for. If you're applying for a Class A, you don't necessarily need to road test in a tractor trailer - a 26,000 lb. GVWR truck (such as the Ford F-650/F-750) and a trailer rated at over 10,000 lbs. will suffice - however, there is a catch. If you test for a Class A licence in such a combination, you'll receive an '8' restriction - "No tractor-trailers". If you don't pass the written portion of the air brakes test and road test in a vehicle equipped with air brakes, you receive an 'L' restriction - "No air brakes". If you're under 21, you cannot obtain a Hazmat endorsement, plus you'll receive a '4' restriction - "Intrastate only", which prohibits you from operating a commercial vehicle outside of your home state.
All that aside, your best option will still be just to go to a truck driving school. Several companies offer their own schools, but the cheapest ones are often found via your local community college.

What type of lawyer do you need to sue a car dealership that sold you an unfit car?
You should look for someone who practices "consumer rights" law. Your state may have may have an agency that oversees claims under a "lemon law". That may only apply if the car was purchased new, and there are likely other conditions. If your situation qualifies, they will guide you through the claim process.

Can a repo man take your car if your child's car seats are inside and needed?

How long can a attorney keep on trying to get money on a repo car in Indiana?
credotomfocenter Oral Written Promissory Open IN 6 10 10 6
Typically, the court will try and contact you via mail, but they do not need proof that you were contacted, and you do not have to be present in order for your creditor to win. The creditor only has to provide proof the debt is owed. You want to avoid this at all costs, for it is after a judgment is issued that a creditor can seize bank accounts, assets or garnish wages. In addition, it is easy to renew a judgment once its SOL has past. In effect, if the creditor is viligient about his renewals, you could find yourself in the position where a judgment against you never expires.
Look at your states Lemon Law regarding cars. You should be suing them!!!!! you don't need an attorney in alot states, represent yourself.Get some repair estimates on fixing the car, repair it if you can and sue the dealer.
Are repossessions an act of trespassing?
An entry upon land to repossess is privileged if there is no confrontation and the timing and manner including notice or lack of notice are found reasonable.
What is the law regaurding 49cc scooters in Missouri?
They are street legal. There are various "restrictions" in towns though. For instance, in my town, you can ride them, but you have to have a valid drivers license, head light, tail light (reflector), and side reflectors, along with a helmet. But in Springfield, MO, you don't need any of those, maybe its due to the street lights, I don't know, check with your local City Hall to see what you need to have to ride, legally.
Without knowing the possible chemical ins and outs of that, I would, yes. "Better safe than sorry" is always a wise dictum.
How do you sell your car before the lease is up?
Lease or retail installment loan-dosen't matter. You call your lienholder, get your pay-off and sell your car. If your pay-off is greater than what you are selling the car for, "you" simply pay that "negative equity" to your lienholder. If you sell your car for $15,000.00 and you owe $20,000.00 you have to pay your finance company $5000.00 and you are done. The $5000. is called negative equity.
If you can not meet payment on a car can you take it back to the dealer?
Returning the vehicle will not relieve you of the responsibility for the debt. Typically your lienholder will sell the vehicle and charge you for the deficiency balance. However, if you cannot pay for the car the lienholder will repossess it and follow the same procedure. Also, unless the dealer provided "in house" financing they probably have no further interest in the vehicle. You are now obligated to pay the bank or finance company. In this case the dealer may not allow you to return it to the lot.
IF the car was repaired after the accidents, probably not. If NOT repaired , it will decrease the amount the car brings at auction, increasing the amount you owe.
Can you return a car after 3 days?
Only if the selling dealer agrees to take it back. Otherwise it is yours and there is no legal way to return it.
How do i buy a car from a person who doesn't have the title in their name?
Answer
I don't think you should complete the sale, especially since you do not need the car for several months--it just doesn't sound like the guy really owns the car, or that there is something else going on in the background. The thing is, that this is a monetary transaction and not a friendship. You need to separate the two and not be "nicey nice" about the whole thing. By the way, have you had your mechanic inspect the car?
Both of you should visit the DMV together and find out what you need to do. It does sound like you have the story right (below), and it is just one move to get the title. But, you need to find out if this is still a "clear title" if you have bought it from an owner who never registered the car. Does he have a bill of sale (with the VIN and "paid") from the previous owner?? Then, you should also make sure that the car will pass the state's inspection so that if there is something wrong with the car you can avoid completing the sale.
More info on the Question
well from what i have been told (ive been talking with the seller for a few weeks now and he seems legit) the current seller purchased the car a few months ago, but was unable to get the title from the original seller until about a month and a half ago. the orig. seller has filled out the seller side of the title, but the current seller has not. therefore, he hasn't paid taxes on it yet, so the title is still in the orig. owners name. so could i just fill my information in on the buyers side of the title and then pay taxes myself?(i suppose if a date hasn't been filled in) or as long as i have the title, and a bill of sale, would that work? his uncle owns a car lot and said that his uncle would be willing to fill out the bill of sale with me(like his lot was selling the car to me) to kind of avoid any mistakes. I'm trying to figure out a way for this to work, without the seller having to pay the taxes and fees just to turn around and sell it to me. since he was not able to get the car registered his uncle was letting him barrow dealer tags to drive it. other than driving the car back home, i don't plan on driving it for a few months and wouldn't mind absorbing the taxes and whatever other fees i'd have to pay, i just would rather not pay them upfront.
any help/advice would be great!
Can you import a vehicle into Canada that has a lien on it?
A lien only exists when a vehicle is in the possession of the person/company who are owed monies from it, once released legally, there is no holding on it and the right of lien has been lost
If you have a repossession on your credit Can you still apply for a loan to get another car?
It depends on three things...1) How long ago was the repo? 2) What is your credit score like now? 3) Do you pay your bills on time? Dealers work with several lenders who will finance people in your situation although the interest rate on your loan will most likely be higher than someone without a repo on their credit.
Nothing..... it is the responiblty of the lender to arrange someone in your state to repo the bike (or car). Keep your insurance on the bike just in case something happens to it in the meantime.
How do you register an antique car without a title or bill of sale?

Sometimes, in some states it's more BUT many DO NOT have a "cooling off" period. Find out if you state is one BEFORE you buy, otherwise once you sign-it's done.
