Where is thetransmission dipstick located on a 2000 Saturn ls?

There is no transmission dipstick. You have to check the level at the transmission itself. I just had my mechanic do it because its alot easier to check it up on the lift. I know this because I own a 2001 Saturn

Where is the alternator for 2001 L200 located?

Open the hood, drivers side, the serpentine belt drives it, it has copper colored wires showing.

Where is the dipstick to check transmission fluid for a 2004 Saturn L 300?

Nope, it doesn't have one.

It's considered to be a "sealed" transmission, and you shouldn't need to check the dipstick.

However... you SHOULD have the transmission serviced according to the maintenance schedule in the owners manual.

When the transmission is serviced, the fluid is drained, the filter is replaced and the transmission is filled UP TO an overflow hole on the side of the transmission.

But there is no transmission dipstick.

How do you replace the relay on a 2001 Saturn L200 series?

Which relay?

There are several relays under the hood, in the electrical box adjacent to the battery. These are "plug in" relays for the horn, fuel pump.... Just pull out the old one and plug in the new one. Of course, you have to remove the cover. That may arguably be the most difficult part of the procedure, but even at that, it's quite simple.

The starter relay is attached to and an integral part of the starter.

What do you do if a 1992 Buick LeSabre Security Light came on and you can't start the car?

Wait 3 minutes until the security light goes off, the try it again. It should fire right up! It's a bit inconvenient, but if it's the worst problem you get from a 17 yr old car, be thankful for it. TAke it ot the dealer as they have check out charts. If it has the MAT security system installed, there is a "valet" switch (that may or may not be installed in your particular vehicle). On my 1992 LeSabre, it was a brown and gray wire pair plugged into the last 2 pins on the wiring block. Turn the ignition switch to "Run" - and connect the two wires (or turn on the valet switch if you can find it). If you don't have a valet switch, or there are no wires attached to the pins, you may have to get creative and use a wire to connect the two pins. This disables the starter interlock feature. The red LED should turn on and stay on solid, and your car should start. At least that's how my problem was solved. Best of luck! When my 1994 LaSabre had a problem recognizing the chip in the key (due to the contacts in the lock not working), I managed to bypass the system by locating the two wires (clear tube with two smaller wires in it exiting the steerin column, unlike any other wiring), cutting the cable, and soldering a resistor across the two wires that go to the hidden module thet in turn controlls the starter and sends a signal to the engine computer. Use a resistor of the same resistamce value as in one of the keys for the car (measure resistors with a digital meter). There are a dozen or so values used. You loose the extra protection of the chip, but the fix is low cost.

Why would the car start and then stall and a red security light blink after replacing the steering column of a 1997 Oldsmobile Achieva?

Check your passlock. It is anti-theft device

AnswerQuickest, cheapest way to fix it is replace the instrument panel. look for one on car-part.com

The security feature inside the panel has gone bad. My buddy sent his off to get it rebuilt ($700) & 2 months later is happened again. Spend $50, & invest an hour to do it.

This is a common problem. There is one way to bypass it , but this will only work 2-3 times.

Turn ignition to the "on" position but do not start it. Leave on for 10 minutes. Crank it up, it will start. The computer is re-learning itself during this time.

let me tell you a very simple way to permantily solve the problem. i know because i had the same problem and the best thing is it wont cost you a dime! The security system is messed up. very common problem with these cars as I've learned. here are the steps to take:

1- remove tilt steering lever from steering column if you have tilt. it unscrews out

2-remove cover from steering column.

3- on the passenger side of the column at the key switch you will see 3 small 20 gauge wires. yellow, black, and white going from the switch up around the top of the column. cant miss them.

4-cut the yellow wire. PROBLEM SOLVED! your red security light will be on all the time while the car is on but that's a small price to pay compared to 4 or 5 hundred dollars it would cost to take it somewhere. that little red light don't bother me a bit!! Good luck NOTE: if you want you can take 2 pieces of 20 gauge wire and attach each one to each end of the yellow wire where cut and run it under the dash or somewhere and put a toggle switch on it in case you ever need to turn the security back on. i did it and followed all these steps and its been 6 months and car starts everytime

Your 91 dodge stealth rt twin turbo stalls at every stop and wants to die when take off what could be wrong?

Probably your ECM capacitors need to be replaced--do it your self pretty cheap. pay for someone to do it--about $250-400--they'll do it in about 10 minutes.

How do you change the rocker arm on a 2001 Saturn l series?

The rocker arms are small devices that press the valves open. Typically, "lifters" ride on the camshaft and press a push rod. The push rod presses against the rocker arm and the rocker arm opens the valve.

However, overhead cam engines do NOT have rocker arms.

Saturn engines come in three basic varieties:

  • The 4 cylinder single overhead cam engine (note the fact that it has an "overhead cam".
  • The 4 cylinder dual overhead cam engine.
  • The 6 cylinder dual overhead cam engine.

None of which use rocker arms.

How do you remove oil filler cap in 1999 Saturn?

Mine sticks sometimes and other times, seems to go around forever; "righty-tighty, leftly-loosey" doesn't seem to apply. When it sticks; I use channel-lock pliers as gently as possible on it, turn counter-clockwise a quarter turn, and it should come up (simetimes, that means pry up and wiggle back and forth) when the print on the cap is at 90 degrees from front. I suppose I should really get a new one.

Is your car clunking when changing gear?
