The guage on the dash uses the ONE wire sensor... This is located in the block near the drivers side. Eric First check to see if you have coolant in the radiator. If there is no coolant you will not get any reading from the temperature sensor. If there is coolant then change the temperature sensor.

You want to look this up because correct wiper fit is more than correct length, it's also proper attachment. Not all attachments fit all arms. The replacement wiper blades will come with step-by-step, illustrated instructions and once you have the instructions and the wiper blades/arms in your hands and in front of you, it will an easy maintenance task. Very simple and takes 5-15 minutes usually not requiring any tools.
If in your budget, upgrade to the newer-style frameless "beam blades" which perform better than conventional framed wipers. I use Trico Tech Beam Blades which are fantastic and come in a 17" size.

Does it blow all the time or not work at all If it blows all the time it's the horn relay which is located on the horn it self horns from the dealer are expensive Mine's 58$ YOU might also have a blown fuse in the under the hood fuse box If the horn circuit is any thing at all like my sw2 the relay or horn wire has 3 wires one should be hot the other two are switched and a ground as far as I can figure out Good luck doug

The headlight bult is consists of the housing, the bulb, and the twist lock base the bulb sits in. For bulb replacement you must twist the base to be vertical and then pull it out from the housing. Reverse for instalation. becareful not to touch the new bulb as oil on the bulb will cause dreadful effects to the bulb life

I just purchased a 1999 SW2 a few months ago, and already the rear windshield wiper has stopped working. It took me a while to find the right fuse (which was evidently not the problem). I don't have the manual or fuse box panel in front of me now, but according to the manual, the fuse for that wiper is the one marked "sun" for sunroof. It's near the top of the interior passenger side dash panel.

How does a flex pipe on a 1995 Saturn SL1 get replaced?
Front wheel drive vehicle engines move when you accelerate and decelerate, so the exhaust system must flex with it. These engines are equipped with a front exhaust pipe with a flexible section, which accommodates this movement.
When replacing this pipe, you must cut the old pipe between the flex section and the Catalytic Converter. Purchase a new front pipe from the parts store, and with it a short "coupling" piece which will be slightly larger in diameter, so to fit over the two pieces. You will also need two clamps sized to fit over the coupling.
Install the new front pipe, with the short coupling at the joint with the old section just forward of the converter. You then clamp the two ends of the coupling to complete the repair.

Saturn transmissions are considered to be "zero maintenance", and as such are sealed. There is no dipstick nor is there any user serviceable fill ports.

You CAN remove the pan to drain the fluid and change the filter.
You can also open the port on the side of the transmission and add fluid to the full mark. You'll need to identify where the port is by referencing a service manual.

Sticking thermostat could cause this. If the thermostat is stuck open, it never gives the engine a chance to fully heat the coolant. Follow the top radiator hose to the engine, remove the hose and remove what it hooks to and there's your thermostat.
How replace clutch slave and master cylinders on 1997 Saturn Station Wagon?
its accually easy, from inside the car, you need to squeeze under the dashboard. at the top of your clutch pedal there is a small metal clip holding the rod for the clutch master cylinder. use a small flat blade screw driver to lift the tab on the clip, and slide it off. push the rod of the master cylinder off the clutch pedal and let the clutch pedal fall to the floor. from under the hood, reach down and grab the clutch master cylinder and twist to the left i believe... cant remember. the unit is held in just like a headlight bulb, just twist and pull. the slave clylinder is held in by two 13mm nuts at the transmission. remove the nuts, and same procedure, twist and pull. becarefull pulling the slave out because the rod that opperates the clutch fork can sometimes fall off and land inside the transmission.... not good. once you have it off, pull the entire assembly out of the vehicle. the clutch system must be replaced as an entire unit since there is no bleading procedure for saturn. the units came from the factory pre assembled, and pre-bleed.
What do you pull to bring down the rear seat in a Saturn SL2?
to pull the flip seats down, observe the configuration of the back panel of the seat from left to right. you will see on the far left, a section about 5" wide, this is a cosmetic peice and does not come off. the next section is about 40% of the backrest portion of the seat. if you slide your hand up the seam between this section, and the cosmetic section, in the upper left corner there should be a small nylon strap. pull on the strap with some force, and the seat should release and fold downward. the same goes for the other side, in the upper right corner between the remaining seat section, and the far right cosmetic peice, there will be a nylon strap, pull and fold down. If the nylon straps are broken, and have been removed, you will forceably have to pull along the top, and side of the seat at the same time to open it. from here you can repair the nylon strap on your own.
