The distributor rotor turns COUNTERCLOCKWISE

It is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 and 1=2=3=4 are front to back on the pass side. The dist turns counterclockwise.

IT IS ALSO ON THE FAN SHROUD BY THE VACUUM DIAGRAM.

The Distributive Property is an algebraic term that refers to multiplying everything inside the parentheses by the number outside. Example: 4=2+4(x+2) To solve you will multiply 4 by x and than 4 by 2 to get an answer of: 4=2+4x+8. And hopefully the rest of the steps you already know how to do.

The firing order is simply 1,2,3,4,5,6 the distributor rotates counter clockwise, and the number one cylander is the rear extreme right of the car (passenger side).

The firing order for the 2.8 v6 engine is 1-2-3-4-5-6 it is caste right on the front cylinder head

The firing order of almost all engines is stamped into the intake or head.

Going up the scale from "0" the 4th mark is 8 degrees. Be sure to check the mechanical and vacuum advance as well.

There is not one, It is not adjustable, It is controled by the computer.

You need to clean and check the idel speed control seinoide.

That is screewed into the left side of the TBI kinda towards the back. It is about 4 inches long and has an electrical plug pluged into the end of it.

I think a 1 inch wrench will unscreew it. Just clean it with carb. cleaner.

According to the manual of my 1996 Sentra XE, page 174, the order is 1-3-4-2. Should be the same for GXE. Hope that helps

The gap is preset at the factory but is always a good idea to doublecheck to make sure it is correct.

on the left side case cover there is A black plug look for mark with (T) next to mark . Up top cam chain cover, the gear will have A mark it should be up .. Under tim. gear there is two marks they should be side to side marks in cover......hope it helps....;

1342 if the firing order. The cylinders from radiator to firewall are marked 1234

The basic timing should be 5 to 10 degrees BTC, NO VACUUM @ IDLE (600 RPM, not much higher or you'll be out of adjustment) I'm not familiar with your particular ignition but you can be sure that the timing MUST NOT be more than 36-38 BTC (no vacuum) @ any engine speed over 2600- 2800 RPM. if your'e running it on say 96 -98 Octane....other wise youv'e got to adjust it to run so that it doesn't ping under load or you'll damage the motor.If it pings under load, sounding like marbles rattling in a can you need to back down the timing.
