Hiya! Open the drivers door on your Chevy Beretta. Look at the side of the dashboard. You will see a plastic panel set in the dashpad. Yank that panel off. Underneath that are your fuses. The panel is held on by velcro so just pull off no tools needed. If the panel is missing you'll see the fuses straight away. Good Wrench.
Fuses That "Blow" Repeatedly
Without being able to "hands on" troubleshoot the circuit served by the repeatedly blowing fuse, none of us can identify the specific defect which is causing your problem.
Therefore, the following generic answer can be applied to any electrical circuit, whether in a vehicle, or in a building, whether direct current [DC], or alternating current [AC].
It sounds like you should first concentrate on the contacts inside the power outlet itself. Look for misalignment of the positive [center] and negative [perimeter] of the outlet, or possibly a piece of stray wire or metallic material that shorts when a plug is inserted.
Fuses [and Circuit Breakers] are safety devices designed and installed in electrical circuits TO PROTECT the conductors [wires] and other components from short circuit conditions and/or overload conditions which cause an extremely large flow of electrical current [measured in Amperes], which causes overheating of the conductors that results in damage to the insulation and the conductors.
And in a worst case scenario, the probability of a FIRE which could destroy the vehicle, house, or other structure in which the circuit is located.
When a fuse or Circuit Breaker [and replacement fuses, or repeatedly "tripping" Circuit Breakers] "blow," especially if it happens repeatedly, is an indication of an UNSAFE CONDITION in that circuit, usually a short.
The fuse or circuit breaker is doing what it was designed, intended, and installed to do; that is to protect the conductors and components of the circuit which it serves.
The proper "fix" for this issue is for a qualified technician, who knows what he or she is doing, to troubleshoot the involved circuit, find and identify the defect, and make proper repair [s], BEFORE replacing the fuse again [with the properly sized fuse or before resetting a circuit breaker].
Some ignorant few people will suggest installing a larger fuse or breaker to solve the problem, BUT that will only increase the hazard, not correct it.
Do not follow "bad" advice by installing a larger fuse in a misguided attempt to correct the problem. To install an oversized fuse would almost guarantee damage to the wiring and the probability of an electrical system fire.

Where is the cigarette lighter fuse located on a 97 Jeep Wrangler?
== == On a 1997 Wrangler (as I have) there are two fuses to check. Both in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) under the hood. Fuse 3 supplies the accessory circuits through the ignition key and energises the coil of the accessory relay. If your radio works that fuse is OK. The other fuse, fuse 5 supplies the power to the accessory socket when the relay is energised. The relay is behind the glove box and mounted to a stack of multi-wire connectors.
This information can be found in your owner's manual. Don't have one, get one. Dealer or salvage yard is a source. There is a relay next to a harnes underneath the golve box...regular manuals dont show this ... I checked on a dealership service manual and found the location

A spark lighter is a tool used to ignite flammable gas appliances such as bunsen burners, welding torches, and gas grills. A spark lighter produces a spark having sufficient heat to ignite flammable gas vapor when a mechanical action causes a piece of flint to rub against a hard and rough metal surface. There are also solar spark lighters available which consist of a parabolic mirror that focuses sunlight on a flammable material at the focal point of the parabola. The heat at the focal point can reach several hundred degrees Fahrenheit, more than enough for lighting a cooking fire, etc.

Where is the fuse box on 2005 Ford E-250 Van?
On page 225 of the your Owner Guide. The passenger compartment fuse box is under the right hand side of the dash. If you don't have the Owner Guide, go to the Ford site and download it. However, this information in the Owner's Guide is not very helpful; because that's actually not where the fuse box is. It is actually on the passenger side of the truck. On the passenger side, remove the floor mat, you should see a split in the right kick panel, pry it out from the left side and you should see the cover, open from the bottom and fuse box is there. From there, you can use the Owner's Manual to describe the fuses and their purposes.
