How do you stop the warning buzzer from constantly ringing?
What warning buzzer? Do whatever it is warning you to do.
AnswerYou obviously do not own a Lincoln. I have a 1991 Lincoln Continental and the warning buzzer randomly goes off and sometimes does not shut-off. Yes, very annoying. Sadly I dont know what causes this...I personally think it's like the older 'check engine' light that is constently on. I hope someone knows the answer to this...I would like to know as well.
AnswerUnfortunately the only way to make it stop is to check the codes with a computer and fix the problem. If it is random it most likely is just an o2 sensor and can be fixed easy. I would recomend taking your car to a shop or a local Autozone to have the codes read. Most autozone stores will do the check for free. Shops generally charge to check the codes but can sometimes give you more detailed information.
TRY USING YOUR SEAT BELT AND/OR MAKING SURE YOUR DOOR(S) ARE CLOSED
Answer:
I found the signal path of the buzzer and interrupted it. Now the dash will show there is a phantom problem, but I don't have to hear it. I have another Lincoln Continental module that can be modified if anyone is interested (ravenjim@hotmail.com).
A Starter Coin is a golfing accessory developed and put on the market in 2010. It essentially simplifies the manner in which golfing honors (or tee-off order on the first tee box) is determined. Before Starter Coin's arrival, Honors was determined by flipping a tee in the middle of golfers standing in the center. When the tee landed, the direction it pointed would determine who was to tee-off first. The process would be repeated to determine who was to tee off second, third and fourth. The process required at least 3 tosses of the tee and perhaps many more if the the tee pointed to no one in particular. Starter Coin simplifies this process. With one flip of the Starter Coin, golfing order is set randomly and gracefully. Each Starter Coin also includes a removable ball marker in its center that is engraved with either a custom logo or one of the company's pre-selected putting phrases. Starter Coins can be purchased at popular Golf retail shops and at startercoin.com
How do you reset the check engine light and turn the airbag light off on a 2001 VW Golf gti?
Pull the codes from the computer, match the code to the troubleshooting procedure, follow the procedure to find the source. Repair the source, light will go out if that was the only problem. There are "monitors" or self tests the computer runs the car through a drive cycle, if a problem occurs, it may not run all of the self tests until that problem is taken care. Therefore, another problem may exist. It is emission related. OR hook up a scanner that is capable of clearing codes, and hope that none are still active. Disconnecting the battery can create other headaches and will not likely solve your dilemma. Best bet is to contact the local snap-on dealer and have him refer you to a known good shop that specializes in this technology-he will know. The " check engine light" is by far one of the most misunderstood technological advances by the public. This is an needed in-depth understanding for the public. It is a warning light that is illuminated when there is a problem affecting the EMISSION SYSTEM only. Emission system being the pollution control system. Don't get a hard on against it as it is a good thing once you understand it. One point that was brought up a a recent meeting of technicians was that the amount of hydrocarbons is greater when the gas cap is left off than when the engine is running. Hydrocarbons are part of pollution emitted as gasoline evaporates. Going a step farther, one facet of the emission system is the "Evaporative" portion. This is when the fumes from the gasoline are leaking from the system into the outside air. This is one part of the emission system that can trigger a check engine light. I would say that about 7% of the vehicles that have a check engine light are the result of a loose or inadequate gas cap. But understand that many scenarios are possible with the "check engine light" The vehicle's powertrain computer (note that some vehicles have 17 different computers) will run a series of self-tests. They will only run under certain criteria. And they can be vastly different from manufacturer to manufacturer. Some self-tests are not run until preceding ones have run successfully. So if there is a problem in one particular area that is preventing another self test from running, you can have a situation where one problem is fixed, but another still exists. If you fix a problem and drive the car through a drive cycle that sets the monitor (or self test) the light will go off as it passes that criteria that triggered it in the first place. After 1996, the auto industry went to a idea called OBD II (on board diagnostics). This was to get all the manufacturers onto a similar plane for troubleshooting and powertrain control. While they still differ vastly, many corrections and adaptations were made for technicians to better fix the check engine light problems. Prior to this there were so many different and poor troubleshooting data from a check engine light problem that resolving the problem was much more difficult. Many early warning light of this nature were set to illuminate based on mileage. An Oxygen sensor was one of the things that were meant to be replaced when that mileage was hit. This is much like many current "Change oil lights

How do you disconnect your alarm on your mark 4 VW golf?
The alarm system is integrated into the Comfort Control Module and cannot be disabled, it is behind the dash under and to the left of the steering column I believe. there are two electrical connectors going to it. one is the main harness for all the interior electronics and such. Then there is a smaller connector which the alarm portion of the module uses to flash the lights and sound the horn. This plug can be disconnected with no ill effects. The alarm will essentially be "disabled" but you will still hear a clicking coming from a relay in the Comfort Module anytime the alarm would usually sound, usually lasting for 30 seconds.
Where is heater blower resistor on a seat ibiza 54 plate 1.1?
If it's anything like the 1.9tdi model, it's behind the glovebox.
You'll need to remove the lower panel - this is how you gain access to the cabin air, paper filter (Refer to Haynes manual to find this).
Take that out and look inside - you will see the blower resistor is attached by one screw, however, it is a pain to access. It looks like a heat-sink.
After cutting my hand to shreads, I got the drill out and made a hole to gain access to the screw.
After removing the screw, push from above (after you remove the glove box and white pollen filter sheet) there's a few cable-ties to cut.
Disconnect the socket that is connected to the resistor and push it into the air box - getting the unit out via the air filter access point is a pain - I broke mine a little, there's just not enough space - It's nothing a little superglue cannot fix.
A new unit costs about £40 - I am yet to get a new unit and to put it back together, but now I have more room to get my hand in, it will be much easier. I can only assume the car was built around the unit and the person who designed this is a sadist.
To do this without breaking the plastic involves taking the entire dashboard out, so this is a botch fix, but will save me a £500 cost via the main dealer.
Expect your airbag lights to come on these will need to be reset by disconnecting the battery for over half an hour.
Good luck.

How do you bleed the coolant system on a mk3 golf 1.8?
Jack and prop up front axle for safety. There may be a board lining the underside of the engine bay which will have to be removed. When you have clear access for for the radiator, search for plug or tap on bottom edge of the radiator, and remove. Water will then drain out. If you can't find the plug/tap, you'll have to remove the rubber hose from the base of the rad to achieve the same effect. Take cap off top of rad, and also the one on the expansion tank located nearby and connected to the rad by a hose.
Replace pug at bottom, mix coolant and fill steadily the radiator. When full, run the engine on tickover for a while to get rid of any airlocks in the system. Replace caps on radiator and expansion tank.

Can the brake pads light be turned off on a 01 vw bora?
On the driver's side brake pad there is the sensor. The two wires are connected and keep the light off, when the pad wears down enough that the wires become disconnected, then the light comes on, I just changed mine, they were about $50 and took me about an hour to completely change. It would be the best way to get the light off as far as I'm concerned.

What tools are needed to change a wheel bearing?
Bearing needs to be pressed old out and new pressed in. Cost about $40 to have it removed from auto shop. But you can install it by chilling (freezer) the replacement bearing overnight and then heat the hub (200 oven don't want to melt the inner bearing seal) and drive the new bearing in with a soft hammer or wood block. Don't forget the bearing seals innerfirst before the bearing and then outer after bearing is in. Best to remove hub and do it on a bench.

How do you check transmission fluid in a 1996 Vw golf?
# Check the level of the transmission fluid with the engine idling and the transmission in Park. # The transmission dipstick is marked with a max and min level. # The fluid level should be between these marks. # If it is low, top up the fluid (through the dipstick tube) to the max level (bottles of transmission fluid have an 'anteater' spout to make this easy).
# If the fluid is a dark brown or black colour you should organise getting it changed and replaced with fresh fluid; this will greatly extend the life of the transmission. # Fluid in good condition should be ruby red.
Why does the oil warning light flash briefly after the engine has started on a 1995 VW golf?
2 reasons: Normal for the engine to build oil pressure after starting. Use of the wrong oil filter. I recommend Mahle, Mann or VW oil filters. FRAM and other US filters should not be used as they have poor or no anti-drainback valves in the filter causing oil starvation at startup.
