There is probably a short somewhere that is supplying power to the circut to "pop" the trunk and lock the doors. Try to find a wiring diagram and locate where the two circuts cross or run close together.

I think you need to have your battery checked, when the voltage gets so low this system does this.

You need to remove the glove box and then you will see the actuator. The glove box has about 6 hexagon screws which are simple to remove. However reaching the actuator is another story. Good Luck!

Under hood, in front of the radiator and a/c condensor. It is on the driver side, bolted to the lower radiator support.

This system originally used R-12 but since that no longer is available,you will need to have your system retrofitted to accept the R134a refrigerant.

No car can start until it turns over. Meaning the starter has to engage. So you have at least one problem or more. You have to have a good battery and it has to be 12.6 volts and remain at 8-12 vol;ts while trying to crank. When you cut the ignition on - the instrument panel has to light up and when you go to "start " you have to hear a soleniod in the starter go clunk. No clunk? There is a problem in the circuit to the soleniod. Clunks - but no turn over? Bad connection from the starter to the battery or bad starter.

It is always the low side, the larger of the two hoses. On some cars, it is connected directly to the drier, which looks like a tall can with hoses coming from it on the left side under the hood, mounted near the fender. Good idea to pressure test it.

the most likely reason for this is your battery is no longer capable to hold a charge.... either the acid is no longer good or too low to supplement the charge, or there is a problem with the plates inside the battery, either way you might want to purchase a new battery.... if the battery is fairly new, another problem could be that the "recharging system" for the vehicle is not functioning properly, this could be from a bad alternator or a wire or few could be connected wrong, not connected at all or missing, or the wiring or connection at the battery terminals could be corroded so badly that electricity will not transfer through.... if the problem appears to be corrosion of the terminals, a can of terminal cleaner and a wire brush will alleviate the problem, you should also invest in a can of terminal protectant as well.... if you still cannot solve the problem, have a trustworthy mechanic take a look.

The starter is located under the intake manifold. You will need to remove the EGR tube and the intake air tube from the throttle body. Remove the bolts around the perimeter of the intake manifold and from the passenger side of the engine compartment you can lift the intake up far enough to gain access to the starter. Remember to disconnect the battery negative terminal first. I have used a bungee cord to hang the intake in the air while working on the starter. Remove the two wires leading to the starter and then the two 13mm bolts securing the starter to the engine block. Pull the starter out from under the intake manifold and install the new starter in the reverse order. The intake manifold gaskets are reusable.

The "check coolant level" message will come on when the coolant level is low in the overflow tank. If the message stays on after the tank is filled, make sure the sensor on the front bottom is connected. If the connection is O.K., then lightly tap on the side of the overflow tank with a soft rubber mallet. If the message persists after driving the car a couple of days, replace the overflow tank.

The firing order is 18436572 and Distributor turns counter clockwise.

There were two engine options available, one was the 390 cubic inch, and the other was the 429 cubic inch.

1. Remove bottom part of back seat

2. Unscrew back seat back bolts to remove upper back part of seat

3. Once you do this you can get right at the speakers by removing the cover on top of the speakers

turn the key to on possition pump the gass pedal all the way to the floor 5 times then turn the key to the off possition then it shoud reset. Undo the battery for 10 minutes and it will clear the indicator.

is the check engine light on? if not then i would start with a tune-up (spark plugs & wires fuel filter air filter pcv valve), i believe that's a Distributor less ingition system so no cap or rotor. also a throttle body service is probably needed. good luck!
