That would be hypertrophic scar which aspirin will not help. Even strong steroid creams don't help much. It usually requires an injection of a steroid solution into the scar to shrink it down. This should be done by a qualified dermatologist. Some people have a strong genetic predisposition to form thick scars or even keloids when skin is traumatized.
