Do most auto body shops do financing or payment plans?
Not in my experience. They usually like to receive payment by credit card or cash. It would be a rare Collision Repair Facility who offered financing. It is just not the normal practice for this type of business.
in body shop terms...if i said that "I had to paint the dog house" that would mean that i sprayed the hood, both fenders, and in newer cars the front facia/bumper cover.

I just repaired my sunvisor. You have to buy four new guides for the sun visor. It cost me $75.00 Cdn. from the dealer.You have to remove the sunroof. With it tilted up there are three screws on each side. After the sunroof is off you can jimmy the visor forward to take it out and put on the new guides. I set the visor on and put the guides on in the track on one side in then the other side. It is a tight fit. When you put the sunroof back on make sure the tilt is down to position the glass properly. It took about an hour to do.

Single-acting? You mean like a single cylinder engine, like in my lawn mower? The biggest difference (besides the obvious "an opposed engine has more cylinders" is that an opposed engine has more torque. On a single-cylinder four-stroke, you've got the cylinder moving under input energy--the burning gasoline--for one stroke, and under stored energy from the flywheel for three strokes. If you have a two-cylinder engine, you have two strokes where the engine is moving under input energy--each cylinder has one--and two strokes using stored energy. If you have a four-cylinder engine, each stroke is moving under input energy.

Not to be flip, but it is worth what someone will pay. The value of these type collectible vehicles is all over the spectrum. Condition, engine size, and options, determine value. Your Mustang is not worth near what it would be if it had a V8. However if this is the original engine/transmission, and the car is painted the original color it does have good value. As a guess without seeing the vehicle and knowing the condition, I would say it is worth at least $3,000 and maybe more.

There are a few aftermarket products made specifically for the restoration of hazy, yellow headlight lenses. For example, one product made by CCP called the "5 Minute Headlamp Lens Restorer" can be found in most auto parts stores. It's a chemical-free optical grade lens restorer that removes scratches, hazing, yellowing, micro-pitting, and that typical "frosted" appearance. The kit consists of several foam pads which are pre-saturated with a special polishing formula. You use a drill and a spray bottle of plain tap water and work on the lenses until clarity is restored - usually in less than five minutes. Another product is made by Permatex, called the Headlight Lens Restoration Kit. It's similar in principle, with a special plastic restoration polish you use with very fine sandpaper sheets (included) and a polishing cloth to restore the lenses. Feedback from customers have shown favorable results with either product.

The rear is part of the frame so if it is damaged it must either be cut out and replaced or popped out by a professional who will actually drill small holes into it and pull it out from the inside not pull it out with one of those pops-a-dent pieces of junk.

I like the Awesome Brands, Street Appeal Professional. I clean my tires/wheels/rims with the "Wheel & Tire" spray on and wipe off solution which dissolves break dust and road grime. Then I follow up with the product, "Tire Shine" from the same company - provides a long lasting high gloss shine. Both products are safe for wheels/tires/rims. Simply spray on over the entire surface (avoiding the treaded part of the tire!), let the solution stand for 20-30 seconds, for the product to work, then Rinse with water. For the Tire Shine product, you may need an extra coat for a higher shine. Depending on the dirt/grime on the tires, you may need to scrub with a sponge or wash rag/towel/mitt. But definitely use two different mitts, one for the shine, and one for the wash.

I own a Plymouth neon. To replace a tail light you would need to buy one and have a specialist put it in for you.Unfortunately this car is designed to drain you dry.
1991 Nissan D21 Door Latch broken or in my case the 10mm nut came off inside the door.
1. With a large screwdriver place it between the door knob handle and the plastic ring so that you can see the c ring keeper. Push off the c ring keeper a little and it will come flying off and the door knob will come off.
2. The door handle ring is the hardest to remove. It is a plastic rectangle around the door opening mechanism.
Removing the plastic trim rectangle -- To remove place a wide screw driver or a wide wood chisel at the top corners and there is a friction pop-in that has to be pushed down from the center of the rectangle before it will come out. Actually their are 4 friction areas 1/2 inch from the corners on the top and the bottom. If you put a wide blade on the top of both corners and pry out the rectangle will come flying off. Replacing the trim rectangle held in place and hit with a fist works fine.
3. Removing the door panel from the door -- There are plastic friction bolts all around the edge of the door panel. They pry out easily from the door. You do not have to remove the radio speaker if there is one.
4. The door panel may not come off easily. If you don't have to remove the door panel just bend it up and remove the plastic and you can see the door handle easily.
5. Replacement of the door panel takes about 3 minutes.
The door handle has a c clip behinde it that you can not see.Goto a auto parts store and thay will have a cheep tool to help you.(you need a special tool for this.
The WINDOW CRANK handle has a 'c-clip' behind it. The door opening handle trim is held in by either a screw behind a plastic flap that will pop out(behind the lever)or it is held in at four points by plastic tabs (two on top and two on the bottom)that can be undone carefully with a screwdriver or the like. When this plastic trim is removed the door panel should come off.
Be aware that there are plastic clips (back side of the panel) on the perimeter of the panel that hold it in as well (known as Christmas Trees).

How do you initialize the rear window motor on a 2001 ford sport trac?
CAUTION: Make sure that no obstructions are present in the power rear window system when carrying out this procedure.
NOTE: The rear window motor is in error mode when shipped and will be inoperative until initialized.
NOTE: This procedure must be carried out when repairs are performed on any part of the power rear window system including when: the power rear window motor is removed from the window regulator drum housing, a new power rear motor is installed, a new power rear window regulator is installed, a new power rear window glass module is installed, and any operation in which grease or lubricants are applied to the power rear window system.
NOTE: All power rear window components (window glass module, window regulator, window motor, and glass runs) must be installed and torqued to specification before carrying out this procedure.
NOTE: Once the ignition key is turned to the ON position in Step 6, it must remain on until the entire procedure is completed.
NOTE: Step 7 requires that the power rear window control switch be held in the CLOSE position (fully clockwise) until the power rear window motor stalls the window into the upper header seal. Step 8 requires that the window control switch be momentarily turned to the OPEN position.

This movement indicates that the power rear window motor has been successfully initialized.
- Verify correct operation of the power rear window by moving the window to the fully open, vent, then fully closed positions. If the window does not operate correctly, carefully repeat this procedure.
NOTE. You will need to close the door after step 6.

The above answer worked great when cars were really built to last. (Sometime before 1985) . If you do this in a modern car it will invariably rip the so-called bumper right OFF , or worse, pull it loose when the wheel is off.

A "Frame" is an outdated term, per se; only trucks and very few large cars still use a "frame" in modern automobiles.
A "Frame" is the base structure of a truck, or older car, it is normally shaped like a box with points front and rear (to hold the bumpers); think of an "H" but with double crossbars near the top and bottom. Frames are made of very ridged and heavy steel, and that is why they are still in use for trucks and very heavy (large) cars.
