How do you take off a door panel on a 97 f150?
There are four screws that need to be removed. Two of them hold the plastic trim(yours could be cloth covered) that is around the opening lever mechanism for the door. But before you can remove that piece of trim you will have to remove the crank handle for the window. TO remove the crank handle- The handle itself is "capped" by a piece of plastic that when pryed upon will pop part of the way off. Where the crank handle meets the door panel, get a firm grip with your hand and tug on it gently. BE CAREFUL! as the piece of plastic cap over the handle will not come all the way off. You need only remove it enough to push it to the side a few inches so you can access the Allen screw that is running through the handle and securing it to the mechanizm that rotates and cranks the window up and down.
The little round piece that you grab to spin your window crank and the cap piece of plastic that covers the handle itself do not completley separate.
Once you pop that piece of plastic trim off enough to access the Allen screw- simply remove the Allen screw. This will allow the large plastic trim piece to come off easily.
There is a thrid screw at the bottom of the door facing the interior of the truck if the door was closed. You can't miss it. Mine was shiny:) Remove it.
THere is a fourth screw that will be instantly exposed as soon as you get the crank handle off and remove the big plastic trim piece.
Remove that fourth screw and you will be able to simply lift that entire inside door panel right off the frame. Good LuckPaul in Phoenix, AZ
Where the drain plugs are for the water to drain out from the convertible top?
On a 1999 Sebring Convertible, they are at the bottom of the kicker panels on both sides of the car. There are about 4 on each side, but I found that the ones closest to the rear wheels are the ones that really need to be kept clean to avoid getting water on the inside of the car. If you run your finger along the inner side of the lowest part, you can feel them as raised sections that are slightly slanted.

What is the best way to reattach loose fabric on a head liner?
The headliner is made from a thin knit fabric bonded to a layer of polyfoam which is glued to a hard shell. Over the years, the foam deteriorates and the fabric drops away from the shell. You cannot reattach the fabric because the foam will no longer hold it. You must remove all the old fabric, scrape off all the remaining foam and glue a new piece of headliner fabric to the hard shell beneath. Headliner fabric can be found at large fabric shops like Jo-Ann Fabrics, or from auto upholstery shops.

What are tips for repairing a car with Bondo?
Remove all foreign material, i.e., rust, paint, etc. Apply bondo to clean, rough metal only.
Make sure metal is roughened to ensure adhesion of bondo to metal.
Begin shaping, sanding, just after bondo is set up, don't leave too long, will be difficult to sand.
Apply more bondo, to the sanded bondo, if needed, sand again - apply primer just prior to touch out glaze.
1. Use only fresh Bondo, not some that was opned last year. 2. Don't mix a large amount at one time. It will harden before you have a chance to apply. 3. Make sure your Bondo and hardener are well mixed. 4. Once you are shaped and sanded, get primer on it right away. Bondo and other fillers hold water. 5. Don't leave primer on too long without painting, it holds water as well. 6. When you're are shaping and sanding, WEAR A MASK. The dust can ruin your lungs.
