How do you break up with a guy in a civil manner if you're engaged and live together and have a child together?

This will get messy, unfortunately. The good news is that you don't have to divorce because you were never married. The bad news is that your child will suffer from a broken home. Unless this guy is abusive, you should do whatever possible to stay together, get married and be a family for your child's sake. Don't give up now. More bad news, he will not walk away happy (they never do when there is a child involved). You will need to prepare to fight for your child and it is always ugly. In a perfect world of break-ups, the people lovingly give each other everything they want and you both walk away. You know this will not happen and there really is no civil way to break up. Im in agreement with the previous post.

Your wife is addicted to pain medication and you are afraid if you file for divorce you will have to fight for sole custody of your daughter?

* Your wife did not choose to be addicted to pain killers. You need to get to the bottom of this and find out what doctors are prescribing these medications to her. Then you should be the husband you should be and seek help for her. See a lawyer and see what the laws are in your State for committing your wife to rehab and getting sole custody of your children without divorce! You took the vows of marriage to be there for each other so now it's time you were! I have no doubt you have been through hell, but, what have you done to resolve this situation! Children are innocent and they only know one thing ... they love mom and dad! To just file for divorce without even trying to get help for your wife is cheating your wife, children and yourself out of a possible good marriage and a complete happy family. By seeing that lawyer and proving your wife is addicted to pain medications and is not capable of looking after the children this will give you the edge to control the safety of your children.

Still texting me has new girlfriend?

It sounds like he still wants to be friends. Are you up for just friendship with this guy? If you are then reply to his texts and be yourself but if you don't want that friendship then tell him how you truly feel. If you are curious as to why he is texting you, which I'm sure you are, then ask him about it in a nice way.

My Gf doesnt say i love you anymore and talks very less on sms these days does that mean she doesnt love me anymore?

It could mean that she is slowly losing interest in your relationship or maybe she has been busy. You should really talk to her about where things stand between you two so you know whether to continue on or move on.

Being a long distance relationship, and the ever growing lack of communication. I hate to say, most of this is from experience. It sounds like she is either, #1 Pushing you away, #2 Loosing intrest, #3 Found someone else.

Talk to her about it, what your feeling, and ask her if she still feels the same, or different. Talk it out.

nononono, believe me this happened to me she does NOT like you anymore and she doesnt want to be with you but sms? that's like text.. are you like 8?

Is 74 years old too late for Viagra?

  • Every male before taking Viagra should see their doctor and discuss if this is the best solution for their problem. All medications have side effects. If you have seen the doctor and have no heart problems; lung disorders, etc., then there should be no problem with you taking Viagra at 74.

When a loser dumps you over the phone is the best thing to not respond and just quietly hang up?

yell at him It depends on what YOUR psyche needs. Do you need to be vindictive? If so, take whatever action makes you feel better. If you need to ridicule him/her, laugh and call him/her a moron as you hang up. If you think it would be best FOR YOU to not respond, then just hang up. Strong emotional reaction will convince him/her that you are hurt by this and it will give some of the more emotionally immature people a sense of gratification to know that he/she has hurt you. Your best bet, just ignore him/her and start going out with other people who are more interesting and more fun to be around. But next time you get into any kind of relationship, make sure the person is a little more emotionally mature. If you learn from this experience, perhaps you won't be put through the same thing again.

When do you remove a wedding band after separation?

  • Some men/women prefer to wear their wedding ring continuously while others will take the ring off during a separation so they are free to date others. It is up to the individual and it is not a requirement or a law that one must even wear a wedding ring.

Do you still have a chance with her after texting too much?

  • For some boyfriends or girlfriends texting too much by their mate can feel smothering to them and when two people date or go steady it is always wise to be a little mysterious and never let that person you care for know everything about you right away until you are sure you are compatible. Yes, you could still well have a chance with this girl, but meet with her face to face and stop texting her.

How do you break the awkwardness of a new relationship?

I think it is easier to build a relationship with short meetings, where you are actively doing something together. This keeps the time from becoming too focused on conversation and those deadly silences. A walk in a park or zoo, bowling, a concert, a fair, a board game, an outside movie--anything where you are not both passively attending to something else--will help build your comfort level together.

How can an emotionally mentally and verbally abused alien wife get away from her mother-in-law?

Below is a page that lists domestic violence hotlines, shelters and resources by state. Click on your state to view those in your area: http://www.letswrap.com/usadv/ It would be a good idea to get some counseling on this situation; many shelters and religious organizations provide free or low cost counseling. I would strongly suggest this if you have children---your kids will be affected by her behavior, even when it's not directed at them. Children are impacted by the abuse they witness between two adults. The most important thing to realize is that emotional abuse, like physical abuse, can both escalate and fluctuate over time. Your mother in law will not change her behavior, even if a police complaint was filed against her. Is your husband abusive to you or does he tolerate what is going on? If he is unwilling to acknowledge the behavior, he is ennabling the situation. The best thing you can do for yourself is to have as little contact with her as possible--even if it means not going to holidays or events where she will be present. Stand your ground on this matter. Do not try to pacify your mother in law--an abusive person sees this as submission and it does nothing to stop their actions. Do not argue or fight with her, either. Keep the focus on being healthy--eat right, get enough sleep, realize that this is *her* issue, not yours, and that you are not obligated to be in her company if she chooses to act this way.

What do you do if you see your ex every day at school?

Either ignore him or politely nod and smile. Dating a guy from your school is just one of the things you have to deal with when you break up. When you were going out, it was nice to have him close by. But when you break up, he is still close by. Just deal with it and move on.

AnswerMove on. You're going to meet and date a lot of men before you find the right one to make a life with. Some of those men will live in your neighborhood or work at your job or go to school with you. There shouldn't be any animosity or jealousy between you and your ex. He wasn't the right fit for you and vice versa. Every replationship will end in one of two ways: You'll decide you're not right for each other and call it quits or settle down for a long-term commitment. There's no shame in ending a relationship that isn't going to develop into anything

ignore him

My boyfriend is going to fast He is always texting me i love you when he does this i tell him i dont and he gets mad how should i break up with him?

All your boyfriend is trying to do is tell/show how much he loves and care for you, which i don't think is a bad thing. I can agree it might be annoying if he does it all the time, but i think you guys need to talk & work this thing out. I don't think its an issue so big that you have to break up..... unless if there is something else about him that you don't like.

If your ex boyfriend puts pic of u on his myspace so his ex wife can see what does it means?

All he is trying to do is make her jealous. You could be better looking then she is or you might not. He just wants to make her mad and want him back.

Does intoxication increase how truthful you are or does it promote deceit?

When people are under the influence of alcohol some of their inhibitions temporarily weaken; it's part of the loss of control. As a result, people may then say things that they otherwise would not. But I would never regard that as truthfulness. Alcoholics and other addicts often go to great lengths to try to deceive themselves and their families and friends about their addiction and/or its real extent. It can actually do both. Alcohol decreases your inhibitions which would make it easier to say things you wouldn't ordinarily be truthful about. For example with lowered inhibitions you might tell your friend how you really feel about their new rude boyfriend. But decreased inhibitions might cause you to be more free with exagerations or bragging about things that never happened or at least not in the exagerated way you portray it, i.e. maybe that two pound fish you caught last week would turn into a twenty pound fish etc.

Could your ex-abuser really be your soulmate or are you crazy for even thinking this?

Some victims bond with their abusers in what is known as "trauma bonding".

you are crazy. to think he could be a soul mate. a soul mate is a helper. an ex that is an abuser is probably in your life to help you get to the point where you will not need to repeat this cycle. a soul mate might not even be someone you hook up with permenately.

I don't think you are crazy. People can change if they really desire to do so. I personally have been emotionally abusive in my past relationships, which is why I am here. But I am seeing a therapist, and acknowledge the mistakes I have made. I am finally getting over the guilt of how badly I have treated my ex, and am finally beginning to believe that I am worthy of having a healthy relationship. If someone that you loved in the past has seeked help, and is trying to change so that they can treat others with the respect they deserve, do they not deserve a second chance? Maybe I am just hopeful for myself, but people can change. Perhaps I am crazy, but I am going to give him his space now and try to fix me, and maybe I will give him a call in a few months to slowly get to know each other again. I sincerely hope that he won't think it's crazy to believe that I turned myself around.

Your ex- abuser could be your soul mate only & I repeat only if he is actively in therapygetting treated and he or she has fully admitted & acknowledged that there is something wrong with them. If they don't show complete improvement they could be fakingit. Some abusers say they will go get help but they are just doing it so you can get off their backs and you will leave them alone and that is not sincere. The victim needs not to be fooled.

No, I don't think its crazy. In fact, after four years of deep emotional involvement with someone with NPD (who is not physically abusive) I am inclined to think the opposite - that abusive relationships are possibly the deepest sort of soul mate one could have. Why? Two reasons: first, such a relationship quite likely has its roots in a past life connection - hence the intensity. There are lessons that must be learnt, and the only way they will be learnt is if it is extremely difficult to walk away from the relationship. I have found that in my relationship my whole concept of myself has broadened and changed -also my understanding of human nature - especially its dark side, masculine and feminine within myself, and particularly my own shadow. I am also much stronger emotionally, and I have overcome many fears - although I have only been able to do this with the help of good and wise friends and good literature (eg Sam Vaknin and others), and the fact that I have had plenty of space in the relationship due to factors out of the control of the abuser. There is a great deal of love between us which serves to force us to slowly wake up to ourselves, making changes, and developing a little of that very old-fashioned quality: unconditional love. One must above all face and examine one's own vulnerability - its nature origins, and also work to proteect oneself. I have been fortunate in that I have been able to incorpotate my experiences into my spiritual path.

You know reading the answers to this questions makes me a little confuse because I, myself have been in a abusive relationship and I ask myself was/ or is he my soulmate even after what we have gone through. The difference is that he hasn't seeked any type of help and is trying to cover it up. Do I love him still? Yes, very much so, but I don't think he will change. I wish he would get some help because besides this, he has good ways about him. It's hard especially when you have given this person your all and that is what I did with him. We shared a lot. I am confuse as well and deep down don't think he will change. Do I think that your abuser is your soul mate???? Well, if he seek help and commits to it then maybe, but if he just keep doing it to you and then saying, "Sorry", then NO!!! He is not the one for you at all.

"Could your ex-abuser really be your soulmate or are you crazy for even thinking this?"

It depends on the circumstances.

I have and ex-girlfriend that has my blazer and won't give it back because both of our names our on the title. what can i do?

take her to court. Beware the judge could just as easily rule in her favor, since both names are on the title.

Should you forgive your ex-girlfriend if she left you for someone else but says she realizes her mistake and is very sorry or should you stay with the new woman in your life who you've known 3 months?

Thanks for this, she said that there was someone else who showed her attention, very soon realised it was a mistake and says so sorry will never neber hurt me again. I could not move on with new woman as i kept hearing her voice please saying please give me a second chance. I knew i was not giving her much attention also as we was in a rut. I mentioned thsi to the new woman about her wanting forgiveness and she said we could not move on until you tried, but she wont wait and i understand that. but it saddens me as i realise she wont want me again, even if i realise that going back and forgiving was a misatke, no spark etc.im so confused..

AnswerRealize that the mistake this person made was not being honest with you and having the respect for the relationship to tell you her feelings before something happened. What was it that made her realize her mistake, was it that the grass wasnt greener on the other side. I say let her go and find someone that will be honest with you at all times.

You have hardly any choice but to stay with the new woman in your life, I am afraid. You are a sensible man, not a gambler. Your former girlfriend left you because somebody better came along. You love her, but she made it clear, that she can live without you, so her feelings are not like yours. You can take her back and hope for the best, but

1) you will loose your new relationship

2) the relationship with your old-new lady would be transformed and ugly. The sense of comfort, mutual understanding and safety between you two will be gone.

I know your pain. Do not trade your new relationship for empty fantasy. I recommend your stand your ground and blame your ex-girlfriend for your your pain and misery.
