For the 3800 the pan bolts should be torqed to 120 IN pounds in accordance with the GM shop maintenance CD-Rom's. Use the felpro higher priced gasket to avoid a repeat oil leak. The factory ones will leak like the cheap felpros.

do you have to remove lifters on heads in order to replace gaskets? No only the puch rods if it is a non overhead cam engine,

Remove the bezel around the door handle (pops out) disconnect power lock connector

Remove the power window switch (pry up towards front then slide towards front) disconnect connector

Remove reflector (pops out) remove 7mm nut

Stick fingers between door and panel and pop the push pins out, do not go go crazy here as you will break the door panel handle retainers.

Lift up on the panel, you will see a metal bracket that slides into two black plastic retainers if you are looking through the power window switch hole.

Disconnect speaker wires

Once panel is off, push in on the metal spring clips holding the black plastic boxes and slide off, re-attach to metal bracket on door panel(makes install easier) Install is reverse Hope this helps

I bought a used 2000 Buick LaSabre and almost immediately dropped another $400+ for a driver's side window regulator (installed). I contacted the original owner who stated he had to replace the rider's side regulator at the dealer's service dept for over $500. I did some after the fact investigation on the net and found that there are many Buick owners having the same problem with window regulators. I've got my old regulator with a good motor and will redesign the sucker to work without having to replace it every year or so, but it would be good to have the removal instructions for the door panel so I won't tear it up trying to get to the regulator. Any help or direction to info would be appreciated. Thanks

It's almost impossible to tell just from how engine is working. Unless you have hesitation, car lacks power and efficiency is low. And of course if you have EGR error code(s). In order to test EGR you need to have a small vacuum hand pump. Then you need to apply vacuum to the EGR system and see how it responses. Also, sometime EGR valve just needs to be cleaned. For the you need to remove the valve and check on presence of carbon deposits. Also if the valve itself cannot be moved freely, it might have to be replaced.

The hoses around EGR system have to be checked on cracks, and replaced if cracks are present.

EGR vacuum switching valve usually does not break. But EGR valve get very dirty time to time and has to be cleaned or replaced.

1960's had about 300hp

1970-73 had about 300-330hp

1974-76 had about 250-200

1977-81 had about 200-175

1982-84 had about 200-150

all this is depending on what bolt on's you have (Headers, intake, carbrator etc..). If its a stock 350 then it has lower horsepeower because of the years. If it's rebuilt and tuned properly it'll be higher

If you have bored the engine out then it would become a 355 or 383 with a stroker kit. Which results in alot high performance.

I have a 1977 350 which only made about 175 on the dyno when I bought it. I have since then rebuilt it. I bored out .030 (355) added a new crankshaft and new camshaft and lifters from Edelbrock, aluminum heads from Dart, Long tube headers from Hooker, tunnel ram from Weiand, dual Holley 600cfm carbs, and a new oil pan from Moroso.

Added up all I am making well 569 horsepower with this set up.

using number one plug as front drivers side my 6 cylinder firing order is 1, 6, 3, 5, 2, 4. My engine is out of a 69 Pontiac Sunbird but I believe it is the same as the Buick engine.

Is there a reset button for the fuel pump somewhere and if so, where is it?

There are 2 adjustment screws on each headlight, turn them for either left/right or up/down adjustment. Be careful not to overtighten.

You didn't mention the year of the Buick but, look in the glove compartment for the oil life reset switch.

On the older cars with studs or rivets holding the moulding to the car, I use strong fishing line. I snake it behind the moulding and snap it off carefully. Wear gloves so you don't hurt your hands....

There are long haul diesel engines on the road that have 1, 2, & even 3 million miles on them. Gasoline engines have been know to go 1 million miles.

To install a sun visor on the driver's side of a 2000 Buick Grand Sport pry the plastic cover off with a flat head screwdriver. Place new visor and put the screws back in by hand.

If you hear the fuel pump run that is a good sign it is working however, a fuel pump pressure test would tell you if the pump is meeting the required pressure.

LOL. Canooter Valve is that similar to a muffler bearing? I think you will find it the same place you find your blinker fluid, metric screwdriver, and left handed monkey wrench. Someone is pulling your leg.
