How do you adjust the parking brake on a 1993 Chevy Beretta?
Under vthe back of the car between the rear wheels there is a cable. it should run from the back of each wheel to an adjustment screw. this screw is probablly rusted up really bad. by putting a wrench on the short side of the screw(driver side) and turning the nut that is on there you can adjust your brake one wway or the other. NOTE: upon adjusting my brake cable one day it snapped in half. then i went to the dealership and had it fixed.

depending on how old the trans is, and how many times the fluid has been changed, you could have a real problem, over time, with a transmission, actual particles of the transmission tiny bits of metal, have become loose, and float around in the fluid, actually making the fluid thick and dense, now this particle packed fluid, if left alone, will continue to allow the trans to operate properly and maybe reduce, daily problems, but its only a matter of time, before this dirty fluid, causes transmission failure, This happened to me, with a Ford Windstar Van, auto trans, van had ninety thousand plus miles, totally unaware if fluid had ever been changed, so i changed it, completely, and put all new fluid, new filter, and the next day trans started to slip, then worse the next day, and so on and so on, It was explained to me, that if you have your trans checked by a pro, and he says its okay for you to change the fluid, then you must change the fluid, on time, everytime like clockwork, if he says dont change the fluid then you dont change it, just add fluid when you need it, removing all the fluid basically removes the broken bits of gears and parts, and when new fluid is put in, the gears that once operated correctly, dont because, the clean fluid, doesnt protect the teeth, and now the gears slip, Dont quote me on this next statement, but my R&R guy said if your trans is old, dont change anything, just add fluid , if its new, then follow your owners manual, recommended maintenance schedule I hope this helped you, In conclusion, I highly recommend a trip to AAMCO or Mr. Transmission, and have it checked right away, new trannys, installed, cost 2200.00 with no warranty,
Will an 1988 Beretta engine fit in a 1995 Beretta?
depends on which engines you are switching around as to how much you have to change over. Any engine from any beretta should bolt into any other beretta, tempest or corssica. However, you might have problems with computer, wiring harness, gauges, etc.
You should also keep engine and tranny from doner car together.
Can you fit a 3800 v-6 in a Chevy beretta with a 5 speed munchie?
It has been done, but not without a lot of time, money, and patience. Almost everyone that has completed the swap has said it was not worth it, and would have rather swapped in a 3400SFI or 3500SFI. Go to 60degreev6.com or talk to someone on bstuff.com for more info regarding Berettas and engine swaps of this kind.

How to remove ignition switch on 89 berretta?
the ignition switch is commonly caled the key lock clyinder
If you have tilt steering then you need to take it to a dealership they will have a specail tool to remove the pivot pins in the steering column housing. this makes key lock cylinder replacement impossible for the home auto repair technician.
if it is not tilt steering 1) remove negative battery cable 2) remove steering wheel: probably need steering wheel puller for this. 3) remove turn signal switch assembly 4) place lock cylinder in RUN position 5) remove turn signal switch housing screws 6) remove turn signal switch housing and steering shaft assembly : as complete unit: 7) lift the switch tab with a screwdriver then GENTLY pull on the buzzer switch wires and remove the buzzer switch 8) place the lock cylinder in the accessory position 9) remove retaing screws fro lock clyinder and remove the lock cylinder. 10) reverse to install.
hope this helps wolverine

Change turn signal lights in 1992 berretta?
For the rear? Pop the trunk, look on the inside opposite the brake light there should be 4 plastic wing nuts (3 large, 1 small), unscrew the 3 large ones and take off, slide the whole housing out and from the car, you now have access to the light sockets, turn them (some have a clip to keep them in place, squeeze this while turning if they have it) remove socket from tail light assembly. replace bulb with 2057 and put it all back together. about a 5 min job. Hope that helps someone.
