REmove and mark with masking tape all hoses and wires and linkage that connects to the engine. Mark where it came from on the engine with an identical marking for ease of reinstallation. You will need to remove the bolts that hols the transmission to the engine and under the flexplate cover remove the bolts that hold the torque converter or clutch to the flexplate. Remove the engine mount bolts. The engine should be ready for removel, but be sure the tranny is supported somehow so it does not fall.

Pull the switch rearward far enough to slip it over the end of the shaft, but do not pull the harness out of the column. Turn the lock to Run. If necessary, remove the ignition key. If equipped, remove the buzzer switch assembly. Remove the lock retaining screw and remove the lock cylinder.

I've been searching the web for info about these bows, and somewhere (I can't remember where at the moment) I found a chart that lists various specs for several kinds of bows (maybe all Escalade bows, which bought out Bear, Jennings, Golden Eagle, etc.). Anyway, this chart lists an axle-to-axle distance of 39.5" for all Buckmaster 2000 bows, with draw lengths from 27" to 32". That's what mine measures, too.

you probably have a bad gasket on one of the heads or a cracked head like in a water jacket next to a piston wall. check the compression on each cylinder and they should all be with in a 15 lbs range or closer that will at least tell you which cylinder is leaking

This is a very difficult question to answer considering the broad scope of the question and the unknown ability of the person changing the brakes. Shop manuals have very many pages of instructions aimed at persons with at least some mechanical knowledge. I would suggest this job be left to a trained professional as the brakes are the most important safety devices on the vehicle. If you screw up a brake job someone could die!
