Most vehicles have a coolant reservoir (a clear plastic tub) with a phrase "engine coolant only" printed on the cap. This is where you should add engine coolant.

The timing on the 96 SS cannot be adjusted by the owner. Timing is a function of the PCM and inputs from the optispark and crank position sensor. The timing is continually monitored and adjusted based on driving conditions and whether or not the "Knock sensors" are reading a knock condition at which time the PCM will retard the timing to prevent engine damage. This can be altered somewhat by changing the sensitivity od the sensors by modifing their circuits ot by substituting a LS4 knock sensor.

On the 3.8 engine it is on the fuel injector rail (Metal Fuel Line) near the return line.

On the 3.4 motor the fuel return line is mounted to one side of the regulator and it is attached to the fuel rail on the other side.

Not sure how old this question is but you have to remove the front dash clip. remove the screw behind the left and right side fuse panel. Drop the panel that sets above your leggs and then remove the 2 screws that hold up the lower dash panel just below the steering wheel. when the screws are removed then "CAREFULLY" pull the dash panel off from the passenger side to the driver side. ""Hint" put the key in the ignition and turn it to accessary, push break pedal down and shift your gear shifter if it is a steering column shifter down to 1st gear, then lower steering wheel all the way down. This will help when removing the dash facia from the driver side. Once the dash facia is removed you will see 3 screws holding the stereo in. Here is a Problem I ran into just today on a friends 04' impala. There is no Stereo wiring harness adaptor for this car 04' and up unless you can get it directly from the manufature. Good luck w/ putting in the new stereo unless you are just replacing the stock radio w/ another stock radio.

Yes. First top up the radiator then fill the overflow reservoir to the "HOT" mark if the engine is hot or the "COLD" mark if the engine is cold. Be CAREFUL when you remove the radiator cap on a hot engine. The coolant is under pressure.....

Easy job. You take the old one off and put the new one on. Voila!!! ...EDIT.HAVE THE FREON SUCKED OUT UNLESS ITS EMPTY, MANY PEOPLE JUST LET IT ESCAPE AND RUIM OUR OZONE, FREON CAN PERMANETLY BLIND YOU IF IT GETS IN YOUR EYES!!! THEN YOU CAREFULLY UNHOOK THE METAL LINES THERES USUALLY 2 TO THE COMPRESSOR AND ADD THE NEW ONE IN REVERSE ORDER, THEN A VACCUME HAS TO BE PULLED ON THE SYSTEM TO MAKE ROOM FOR NEW FREON AND IT ALSO CHECKS FOR LEAKS.

i dont think 4runners have a reset button. the tires have sensors in them that tell a computer how much pressure there is. make sure all the tires have 32psi (including the spare, it has a sensor too) and the light should turn itself off. there is a service bulletin on vehicles with this system. in very cold weather, the pressure needs to be higher than 32psi. take it to the dealer if you have a 2003 or newer 4 runner if youd like details on adjusting pressure for colder weather.

the drain plug is usually located at the lower left hand/right hand side of radiator. I've noticed that some gm's and chryslers do not have drain plugs. in that case, it is easier to have a flush done.

passlock has been activated you have to turn the key to the on position for 10 minutes for the computer to reset but it may take up to thirty minutes or longer to crank sometimes.

As per info under Driver Information Center (DIC) (Option) on page 2-77 of your "Owner's Manual": To change display to a Metric or English reading, press and hold the RESET & MODE buttons for 3 (three) seconds...

The Power Steering Pump & Reservoir are below the Alternator, by the Firewall, on the Passenger's Side.....

The low-side service port is under the hood in the rear (close to the windshield)of a 2004 impala ss. Look for an aluminum tube with a blue colored cap. Unscrew the blue cap and place the hose from the recharger onto this service port (depending on which hose, there may be a locking mechanism that will require you to "pull back" on a connector ring to snap into a locked position), then procede with following the recharger's instructions.

If you have a POLICE PACKAGE Impala ...some time the cut the wire who activate the horn ..they send it to there police equipment , because they can shif the steering "horn" ...if they press a button on ther computer it gonna be the police siren goes on when the press horn. and inverse, the switch it to use the regular horn...that's coulb be a possibylity
