I have a 1995 that had the same problem. Turned out that the relay for the dashboard release switch was binding and holding the latch open so that it couldn't close. System files are hidden for a reason and unless you know what you are doing (and since you are asking such a basic question, I assume you don't) I'd suggest leaving them hidden. But to answer your question double click My computer and then double click your C drive. click on Tools in the menu bar and then click on Folder Options. A window will open, click on the view tab at the top. Towa5rds the bottom of that window you'll see an option for Hidden files and folders. In there you have two options. Show or don't show. Click the show option and then click apply and OK. There you will now see your system and hidden files. Again I suggest you DO NOT do this.
