Where is the camshaft position sensor located on a 1991 Olds 98?

The cam sensor is located below the water pump and left of center. Most likely if there is a problem with theis, then the magnet has come off of the timing gear (which triggers the sensor). Remove the senor, then use a mirror and turn the motor until you can see if it's still there. Good luck!

Where is the crankshaft sensor located on a 1993 Chevy Lumina Z34?

You'll need to pull the passenger front wheel, remove the wheel well cover. This will expose the damper pulley on the crankshaft. Remove damper pulley, remove plastic engine cover. Look inside you will see the sensor. Be sure if you replace it to install the new one exactly the same as the old one was.

Where is Engine Control Computer located on a 1994 Delta 88 LSS?

Clipped to the firewall, passenger compartment, just above where the passenger's feet would be. Remove the plastic cover (I think 7mm bolts) and you'll see the bottom of it.

How do you replace the crankshaft sensor on your 1998 Crown Victoria?

The crank sensor is located on the lower righthand side of the front of the engine. It is behind the crankshaft pulley between it and the AC compressor. It has a plug with two wires and is easily pulled out of the timing cover after removing the one bolt that secures it.

Where is the camshaft position sensor located on a 1997 Chevy truck?

That would be the item that's under the distributor cap and rotor button. It will have an electric wire pluged into it. 2 small torx screws hold it in place.

What is a cam sensor and how do you know when it is going bad and where would you look for it?

The cam sensor tells the computer where your cam is in it's rotation. The info is used to determine spark timing and fuel delivery. if it's bad, you'll run rough or not at all. Vehicles with distributors will sometimes integrate thet sensor with the distributor. Otherwise, it will be located near the cam. I had a Vauxhall Vectra - terrible car!! - one of the problems was engine dying on me at any point whilst driving! it was almost impossible to trace the problem as it was an occasional fault, but stopped for good once the cam sensor was changed.

Can a crank shaft pulley be welded to the engine?

That is a really bad idea, firstly the pulley and crankshaft are two different metals so the weld wont hold anyways ( pulleys are cast ) then there is a very slim chance that it will be perfectly centered when you are done, then theres warpage from the heat, and dont forget that once its welded it wont come off again.. I suggest if you have stripped the bolts that hold it on that you drill and retap the threads to a slightly larger size and use appropriate size and grade bolts, the next step would have to be replacing the crankshaft and remember when putting pulleys on never use a steel hammer.

Where is the crank sensor on a 92 Chevy Cavalier 4-cylinder 2.2L?

The crank sensor is located on the back engine wall in the middle, just under the two coil packs (from where the spark plug wires come). There is a wire harness from the crank sensor to the module which holds the two coil pack. The crank sensor is held into the engine by a single bolt. To see all of this, you have to go under the car. I am having an intermittent no start problem with my 93 Cavalier (it cranks, but no spark at all) and I think the crank sensor is my problem.
