You Probably Have A Bad Coil Pack,Or Plug Wires.My Daughters Lanos Was Doing The Same Thing And I Changed The Coil Pack And The Plug Wires And Now It Runs Great.

To answer your question I must put this in two parts , Firstly if the idle is low and you shift from park to drive and the engine stalls this is due to the idle being too low. When you shift from park to drive the transmission puts extra load on the engine causing it to idle lower and thus can stall. Remedy to fix is to either screw up idle adjuster but most times it's because of built up carbon in the intake throttle body causing the accelerator flap inside to not fully close . This causes the throttle positioning switch mounted on the side of the throttle body to send the wrong signal back to the computer saying that the car is not at idling position when it is. Remedy to fix this is to spray in some Carby Clean into the throttle body and then some more while the car is running, all while holding revs up on motor so it will not stall ( use the whole can ). Now the second part is that you can have a bad wiring problem with either a broken wire or bad connector . When you put the car into Drive from the park position the engine will rock ( this is on all front wheel drive vehicles ) If you have a broken wire or bad connector some where between the motor and cars wiring loom by the engine moving it can open circuit any connection that controls engine running . Remedy to fix is to put the car into park and physically move and jiggle wiring in engine bay until symptoms occurs , then it's up to you to repair the fault.

MIl light comes on as a result of any fault with the engine's Euro functioning. It can be any of the sensors or the heated oxygen sensor or even the ERG valve. When the MIL comes on cranking the engine wont help but sometimes when the fault is minimal, the engine may start but it wont be smooth. Also, the pollution norms wont be met. It is best to carry the vehicle to a local mechanic who has an Euro On board testing tool to decode the error, which is stored in the ECM of the car. Use axle stands for safety. Jack up both rear sides of car, remove rear wheels. Use another jack under individual wheel, remove single bolt at bottom of shock absorber, lower jack under wheel, this will allow shocker to disconnect, press down on hub, spring can be removed by hand, replace spring and do same for other side. Both can be done at once if you have enough jacks or axle stands.

You have to approach this logically, if it is getting fuel then it might be the electrical side of the system. The easiest check is to see if the spark plug wires are connected securely and in the proper order. Next, see if there is a spark being produced at the spark plug. This can be checked with a spark checking tool available at the parts house. If it is getting a spark and fuel, then you would have to check the timing belt. The petrol light comes on because you are very,very low on petrol.

On a 2000 (not sure 01 is the same or not), it is located uner the dah on the passengers side. Held on by 4 (I believe) bolts and sensor connector. Remove the bolts and attached wiring. Blower should remove easily.

there is a round put on the top corners of the seat. pull the pin up and simply fold the seat down. you will have to move the seat belt to the side to allow the seat to go down also.

Ok i am having the same task at hand i need to wire my sony stereo (XR-4750RDS).

I know the fueses are located below the passenger side door on a little 4x4 inch panel which clips off.

Any other suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Try disconnecting the battery cable, then reconnecting. If the airbag light still comes on, you need to take it to the dealer. Something in the airbag circuit isn't working correctly. To fix might involve removing the airbag. I've had the airbag light come on in my car two times & I've taken it to the dealer each time. I'm leery working around the airbag.

You must disconnect the battery for a min of 5 mins

If this is a single overhead cam, possibly A15SMS (engine type):

If you have everything stripped down and can see the crank shaft gear, you will notice an arrow stamped into one of the gear teeth.

this arrow must point towards the bottom, you will notice a mark (notch) cut into the housing, line the arrow on the gear with this notch. remove the four 10mm bolts that secure the top cover of the timing belt, gently open the cover (not removing it) to see the Cam Gear. You will not be able to remove the cover because of the design.

The Cam Gear should have a line stamped into one of its teeth, this should be pointing up and towards the top. On the inner cover you will notice a notch in the casing, line both up together if it is not already. You can check the following if unsure:

Remove # 1 spark plug (nearest the Cam Belt) and place a long screwdriver in the hole carefully to feel the piston is at the top, #2 and 3 will be down and the last one #4 at the distributor end will also be up. Remove the rocker cover and you should see the Cam loabes on #1 piston free, (no pressure on the cam shaft) meaning the valves are closed.

Probably 4-5 qts. Add 4 and check

firing order is 1-3-4-2

The info you are looking for is on page 1645, Park netural safety switch, located on the top rear of the transmission (auto) where the shift cable connects.

looking at the engine left plug =1 center = 2 rigth =3 1 goes to 12 o'clock 2 goes to 3 o'clock 3 goes to 6 o'clock i noted this down when i changed mine Amos

If it is the same as the 2000 Daewoo Lanos, it will be located inside the car on the passenger side. You will have to remove most of the lower dash (black plastic) to find it, there are about 30 (7 mm) screws that need to get removed and the fan will have to come out to access the expansion valve block. The expansion valve itself is held in place with (2) 8mm bolts.

If it is the same issue that I was having on my Lanos then a plastic cable casing that switches the direction of the airflow has broken therefore the flow of air is stuck in one position. On mine the air was coming out towards the driver and passenger. If you go underneath the wheel and look towards the centre then you will see a white plastic lever that controls the direction of the airflow, you can change it by pushing it along the runner to the windscreen position but you wont be able to move it to any other position unless you replace the plastic part that has broken.
