It has been said that emos only exist on social networking sites, but they are real! Emo exists in five flavours, yes that's right! They come in as many flavours as starburst jellybeans.

The Musician- Green lime, The emo that is usually seen in, you guessed it! Music stores! They are more interested in the musical style than the fashion, some don't even have suicidal thoughts (crazy! what will they not think of next!)

Fashioncore - Orange...duh , yep I purposefully gave them orange because its such a....difficult.....colour to wear. They actually wear black accentuated with bolts of pink, red, blue, green and purple. Those are the more popular colours. After talking to these emo's is is apparent that they hate you if you don't dress like them, but other than that...very few of them hate anything. Watch out for - Hairspray, it is their deadliest weapon of mass hair constuction...a fashioncore emo can be spotted from a mile away because of their hair.

Poser - Yellow lemon, yep gave you the colour of cowardice! but also of happiness, these emo's have absolutely NO emo characteristics except the clothes. They wear them to fit in and look cool in the scene.

Important! You are not a poser if you wear the clothes because you like them, only if you wear the clothes so people will like you.

Introspective Artist - Red strawberry, the most angst fueled emo, they generally understand the way the world works, and are pretty pissed off by it, or driven to despair. These two extremes are often expressed in the forms of song writing, poetry and drawings commonly displayed on DeviantArt

The Hard-to-pick Emo -Black blackberry, the dangerous one, the kid who is happy on the outside and does not openly display any of the above highly stereotyped behaviours. This one's dying inside. (go us...)

Cutting:if you have a cat the kid usually says its the cat who scratched them or they fell.

style:if they usually were bright pretty clothes they'll start wearing black more often. Also if you notice that they start wearing long sleeves more then usual or arm bands to cover up the cuts.

Hair:they'll wear it more in their face, the stereotype that all cutters have a lot of layers in their hair isn't always true.

Attitude:they'll start avoiding the family. Being confined to their room.

Unfortunately, we see it in every generation-- the groups we are supposed to distrust or hate may change, but the process is still the same. It starts with a culture or society in crisis-- perhaps the economy is bad, or there has been a war. A politician, or a political leader who is seeking power, begins telling the public that their problems are being caused by [insert name of group]. Fear and suspicion are then spread by the media, who report on what the political leader said, or by talk shows and commentators who agree with the belief that [name of group] is to blame. People who in many cases have never really met an actual member of that group start hearing so many negative things and it becomes a dominant discourse, as people spread rumors, stereotypes, myths, and negative perceptions about [name of group].

Hitler did this during the 1930s when he began demonizing and blaming the Jews for everything, even though they made up less than 3% of the population. He talked about them as if they were not even human-- he called them "vermin" and said they needed to be "exterminated." In America, especially during the era of segregation, we saw the same tactics applied to black people-- they were demonized as criminals and rapists, or stereotyped as possessing inferior intelligence. Since they were considered sub-human or like animals, lynching them was rarely punished. Now, we see similar claims made about Muslims, who are all allegedly violent terrorists who must be driven out, even if they've lived peacefully in the US for generations. The great philosopher George Santayana warned us that if we don't learn from the past, we will repeat our mistakes in the future. Blaming, stereotyping and verbally (or physically) abusing those who are different has happened throughout the ages, often with terrible consequences. I recommend a wonderful book on the subject by David Livingstone Smith, called "Less Than Human."

People (non-Emos) think that Emos overreact about little problems in their life. They think Emos think they have bigger problems than everyone else and are spoiled, depressed people that deserve to die. Those people just don't understand that Emos do what they do to help themselves cope.

as i have once said if you value your insanity, stay the way you are. i am a true emo like the rest of you out there but i know that most of us have our own styles and most of us don't really go for the bright florescent colors like the neon pinks, oranges , and yellows. YUCK!

People hate Hufflepuff because the requirements for the house are either the most broad (stubborn, athletic people) and thus the most habitual. That and the only significant character (in the movies) to come from Hufflepuff later became the sparkly vampire we all learned to hate in a heartbeat.

Popish is a derogatory slang term used an adjective to describe a thing as belonging to or characteristic of Roman Catholicism. May also be used as an insult to describe a thing as being like a Catholic item.

Papist is a derogatory slang term used a noun, a term for a Roman Catholic. Calling a Catholic a papist is equivalent to calling a black person a n-word.

They are both similar in that using them orally or written shows ones ignorance and bigotry.
