What are Code p0300 p0306 p0308 for 2003 Dodge Durango?
P0300 Diagnostic Code - Random Misfire
Symptoms.
Engine may stumble or miss
Engine may be hard to start
you may notice no issues
Cause
Failing spark plugs or spark plug wires
Bad coil or coil pack
Failing oxygen sensor(s)
Bad fuel injector or more than one
Stuck exhaust valve
Bad catalytic converter
EGR valve or valve passage clogging
Bad camshaft position sensor
Bad PCM or ECM
The Fix
Best first action is a tune up, new plugs, wires, inspect all hoses and wire connections then reset the code. If it returns you will need to narrow it down to a system, coils and coil packs should be tested, catalytic converters for function ( do you smell rotten eggs?). A misfire that jumps cylinders could indicate a lean condition, do you have any other codes along with the 300? this will help clue you in to the source, check valve function to make sure they are opening and closing fully.
This is probably pone of the most difficult codes to troubleshoot, so start with the basics and work your way into the more expensive options, in many cases a good old tune up solves the problem, back it up with a fuel system cleaning and see where you stand.

How much does a pcm cost on a 1999 Dodge Durango?
From the dealer here in Utah it costs $602. It costs $194 to have the dealer program it and install it. From reading on the issue, you can take your old PCM to NAPA and have it sent off and refurbished for $298. It sounds like it's very easy to replace it once you get it back. The downside is that it takes a couple of weeks to do it this way, but it's very inexpensive and it's already programmed when you get it back. Also, I have run into alot people on the internet that were able to purchase a refurbished PCM for their 1999 Dodge Durango's from third party websites for between $200 and $300. It took a week to get it, but saved them $500 in the end. It takes about 5 minutes to replace your PCM yourself and is very accessible. -JB

How do you replace the thermostat located on a 1998 Dodge Durango?
located at the end of the upper radiator hose. remove two bolts, replace with new parts remember to replace the gasket.
I would check to see if there is a switch down by the brake peddle. If the switch is bad it won't let current get to the lights. I would try bypassing the switch (if there is one) and see if the lights come on.
How do you replace the water pump on a 2000 Chevy Cavalier 2.2L 4 cylinder?
It's actually not a hard job to do on these motors (2200 4 cylinder)
1. with the serpentine belt still in place take a wrench and break loose the 3 bolts holding the pulley on the water pump.
2. remove the serpentine belt by relieving the tensioner pulley. ( just takes a standard ratchet)
3. remove the alternator, there are three bolts holding the alternator in place,
two on the side that the belt is on (one on top of the alternator and one under it) and one on the lower back side of it under a bracket, then just move it out of your way (you dont even have to disconnect it).
4. remove the 3 bolts on the water pump pulley, remove the pulley.
5. break loose the 4 bolts holding the water pump to the motor, unthread them alittle to let the old coolent drain out of the motor past the pump, them remove the pump.
6. remove all the old gasket from the motor surface, use the new gasket that comes with the new pump and apply RTV to both sides of the new gasket.
7. install the new water pump by reversing the steps for removal, fill the car back up to spec with Dex-a-cool, you may wanna drive it around the block after filling to get the air out of the system, then recheck the coolant level.
then you are done!

How do you replace o2 sensor on 1999 dodge durango?
If it is the bank 1 sensor its located on the manifold near plug # 1.(driver side) This is fairly easy to do, it took me a half hr to pull and replace. If it's bank 2 its right after the cat. converter extremely easy to replace. (be sure not to cut the wires unless absolutly necessary) ( you may need a special socket to get around the wires)
That's not quite right. On a V type engine, whether its an V-6, V-8 or V-10 etc, you will have 2 upstream sensors. One for bank 1 and one for bank 2. The upstream sensors are before the cat. Bank 1 is correct, the exhaust on the side of the number 1 cyl, usually the right side of the engine. Bank 2 will be the other side of the engine. You then have a sensor after EACH cat. This is the down stream sensor. If you only have 1 cat, then the down stream sensor isn't bank # 2, its just the down stream sensor. If you have 2 cats, then one will be the downstream, bank 1 sensor, the other will be the downstream bank 2 sensor. This is only for vehicles with more than one cat per bank.

How do you replace the turn signal-flasher relay on a 2001 Volkswagen Passat?
The turn signal flasher relay is incorporated into the emergency flasher switch on the center of the dash near the radio.
Pry off the switch cap, it clips in to the switch body and releases fairly easily. In any case you are about to remove the switch which the cap clips too, so no need to be careful with it. I found that prying upwards with a thin screwdriver released the cap easily. Don't pry against the 'wood' trim.
You will see a black rectangular rim with a red LED(push it and see) mounted in the center. Grasp the rim of the switch with a pair of pliers and pull it out of the dash. It should come fairly easily.
Unplug the connector from the back, plug the new switch in to the connector and push it back in to the dash.
The new relay is available at VW dealer for $30
