All vehicles have many Allen screws on them. The only sensible and economical thing to do is buy 2 sets of Allen keys, usually 1/32 up to 3/8 in SAE and 1-10mm in metric. They only cost about $ 12 per set and will save you a lot of hassle if working regularly on cars.

I assume you live in a cold climate. This is probably due to a bad thermostat (stuck open). When this happens, the coolant always flows through the radiator and never has a chance to warm up (a properly operating thermostat will stay closed to prevent the coolant from entering the radiator until it's hot). Changing the thermostat is pretty easy. It is located at the block end of the upper radiator hose (follow the hose out of the radiator, between the alternator and A/C pump, down to the block). remove the 2 bolts and pull up on the hose. The thermostat just lifts out. Remember to scrape the old gasket and replace it using Gasket sealer. The thermostat should be 'closed' when you pull it out. I suspect you'll find yours 'open'. Yes the Dodge Durango is a good car, But keep in mind the car is just as good as the way it was taken care of, Especially if you are looking into used.They had many problems with the 5.2 318 due to lack of maintenance. I can truly blame the problems with the 5.2 318 on owners who fail to change their oil and follow service guidelines on the first generation Durangos,I know this because I have a 1999 318 Durango (purchased new) and have not had one major problem with it at all. The key to this was following the maintenance schedule Dodge provides in the owners manual with my local mechanic.

If you are considering on of these make sure you either buy new and maintain it or look for one that has a flawless service history (proven with records,of coarse)

From what I understand Dodge has made the engines to withstand poor ownership better but good maintenance will always save you costly repairs in the long run. Not to mention it greatly helps you with resale if you have documentation.

Replace the HO2 sensor. The heater circuit on the sensor is breaking down and needs to be replaced. Also check the wires and connection for loose contacts before buying the sensor. Some times the connector or wiring is faulty and not the sensor.

under the headlight and above the amber turn lense there will be a star shaped screw. Remove that and with the hood open pull gently on the amber part until it comes out. There you will find your bulbs...

If you look down on the radiator, on the left side, there is a larrge hose coming out of the radiator toward the engine. Where the hose ends there is a housing with 2 bolts. The Thermostat is found under that. Remove the 2 bolts an replace the thermostat. Unles your arms are very long and thin, you will probably need to do this from under the car.

The light is held by clips. You can remove the housing by using your fingers or a small screw driver. Once you have the housing out, you should be able to easily replace the light bulbs. The bulbs come in pairs and cost about 5 bucks.

Working on the SRS is extremely dangerous. Serious injury can occur or you may disable the system all together. For this reason, I never recommend this as a DIY repair. If the air bag has deployed then some of the sensors may also need replacing. Take it to a professional for any repair of the SRS.
