Without doubt something has interrupted your fuel flow to the injectors. Don't be insulted. The fuel system consists of Fuel Tank (empty?), Fuel Guage Dashboard Indicator (Not functioning or miscalibrated?) Fuel Lift Pump (Low Pressure Output?), Fuel lines (clogged?), Fuel Filter (Extremely dirty?), Fuel filter housing (leaking?) Fuel filter water detector (Not functioning and therefore not notifying that your fuel filter is getting ready to send water toward your injectors?) Injector Pump (not sending high pressure fuel to the injectors) and finally, Injectors (clogged?) I have experienced the exact problem. My Fuel Guage does not indicate correctly (The fuel tank holds 35 gal. When I have 5 gallons remaining, the tells me that I have .4 of my fuel left.) Thus, I was driving down the highway and ran out of fuel when the fuel guage said I had 1/3 of a tank left. Other times it has failed to start after changing the fuel filter and after draining water from the fuel filter water drain. Each of those times the not starting was attributeable to a lack of fuel being delivered to the injectors, and was cured by bleeding the air from the high pressure injector fuel lines. (It is only necessary to slightly open one of the injector lines on the head until fuel begins spurting out.) Unfortunately you can't operate the key AND see the top of the engine at the same time.

there are for screws that hold it on. Two on the ash tray. and two on the cup holders then there are two holding the radio in.

I believe it has jumped time I just purchased a 95 ram 1500 4x4 for my son it has done the same thing it acts as if were hot or low on oil I checked both but they are good. The truck will start but backfires first which leads me to believe it has jumped time or it may be possible a sensor is malfuntioning. Snap-On tester will let me know. I'll post my findings as soon as I know. If someone finds something sooner please let me know. Have someone check your fuel pump, had a '95 also..truck would run fine, then engine would cut out...let it sit for a while and it would fire up....ended coding check engine for oxygen sensor, put that was caused by the fuel mix....finally had dealership take out and found out it was the fuel pump

The dimmer switch is part of the multifunction switch on the left side of the steering wheel and is fairly easy to remove. Underneath the steering wheel trim are holes for the attachment screws. Remove the screws and carefully separate the two halves and set them aside. You will now be able to see the attachement screws for the switch assembly. Disconnect the wiring first, then the screws. Some of these switches are held in place with a fastener using a Torx head, and requires a special bit to remove. Install the replacement switch, reconnect the wiring and reassemble the trim. BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO FOOL WITH THE AIRBAG CONNECTOR. IT MAY GO OFF IF UNPLUGGED ACCIDENTALLY WITH GREAT FORCE. To avoid this, disconnect the negative battery cable first and wait 15 minutes before touching the steering wheel. This allows the internal capacitors time to bleed down.

it sounds like it might be the cam sensor in the injection pump.

Never install seals dry.

On your truck, you will have to replace the cluster in the dash. You will need to take it to your local dealership to have them order it. I would let the dealership install it, because the new cluster will have to be programmed. I hate to send you to a dealership because they cost an arm and a leg but that is about the only option you have. You might be able to find an aftermarket cluster, but it might not work correctly. I hope this helpful.

Try some fuel injector cleaner in the tank.

Have you checked the blower motor resistor pack? They have been known to rust out.

It is located under the pass side dash right next to the blower motor. it has a plug about 2 inches wide with 3-5 wires on it. If your symptoms started with blower motor not working on all speeds this is most likely your problem. pretty sure this is only explained in the Haynes manual not the Chiltons. Part is a dealer item only. difficulty of this job is about a 2 only because it is so hard to get at. good luck

Knock Sensor On your 1992 Toyota Truck Previa 2WD (2.4L FI DOHC), the Knock Sensor is located:

Front seating area, center, under engine cover, passenger side of engine, under intake manifold, mounted in engine block

Where is it leaking? That pressure test sounds funny, why would you pressurize only the pump and radiator? If you are leaking coolant outside the engine, locate the source. If you are losing it from the radiator but cannot find a puddle suspect a head gasket problem. Check the Radiator cap first, if it is bad high pressure coolant will travel back to the overflow bottle.

remove taillights, pull taillight wires out of box from underneath. Free the gas filler from the box side. Remove the filler neck ground wire. Undo the 8 (?) box bolts from underneath (long extension with impact wrench) there will be holes to access the bolts through, but sometimes they are covered by aftermarket trailer hitches at the back. lift box

Have somebody crank over the engine and observe if theres any gas mist coming out of injectors, if so make sure also that your getting spark at spark plugs.

I quess is that the spring plunger that is behind your horn button is defective. Remove the steering wheel to replace it.

Your Fuel filter is attached to the fuel pump, which is located in the fuel tank if its a gasoline burning vehicle. Diesels should be located inline.
