Hi, If you just acquired this van check for: 1. Read the owners manual on how to operate the heater and AC. When I first got mine I had a hard time because the control panel was confusing to me, and I kept inversing the control operation, especially when driving. And make sure the blowers are running properly. Check the coolent level of the radiator when the engine is cold. Do this by removing the radiator cap. Do not rely on the coolant reservior to check the radiator for being full. I did, and several months later I found the radiator a gallon low and the reservior full. Upon checking I found the reservior outlet and hose clogged up with debris, giving a false reading. 2. Make sure there is a thermostat in the system. check the radiator hose when the engine is first started (it should be cold), and as the engine warms up it should get hotter and may even burn your hand. If doesn't get that hot, it doesn't have a thermostat installed. If the thermostat is bad, the radiator will boil over (stuck closed). 3. If the radiator was drained at one time, there can be a vapor lock in the lines, especially with the rear heater installed. Where the lines are at a high point is where the vapor lock will occur. Check before and after the high point for being hot. There you must crack the line open a tiny bit with the engine running and let the air escape. This is very dangerous because of the hot water. Use gloves and googles. If you had the van for a while: 4. Check the heat control valve. I don't remember where it is. 5. check if the plenm is operation, which is the door inside the heater that direct the air to either the heater or the AC. There the cable usually comes off. Sometimes at the plenm door and sometimes on the dashboard control. I hope these suggestions hope you. Good Luck, Joedi
