Can you swap a 5.4 for a 4.6 engine in a 2001 expedition?
I'm not a mechanic / technician but you would also have to change the
transmission , the Powertrain Control Module ( PCM ) , and I don't know if the
exhaust system is the same if you wanted to replace a 4.6 with a 5.4 in a
2001 Ford Expedition
Need a wiring diagram for the Bronco II?
Wireing diagram of what component? I apologize, I need the diagram for the firing order for the distributor. My husband said he needs the diagram coming off the block?
AnswerI am unsure of that. My father in law is looking for it. I would assume for the electrical components.they sell a maunal at any auto part store with the the digram in it and what year is your bronco 2
Where is coil 3 on 2001 Ford Expedition?
Which engine??? If it's the 5.4 it is on the number 3 cylinder. Which is the third one back on the driver side of the engine.
How do you replace a heater blower motor on a 1988 Toyota Camry?
Lets hope that is not the case! It is not hard to do, but you have to remove the glove compartment and nearby trim to get to it. Hayne's has a good description of the procedure in their Camry service book. Note that the blower itself is held in with Torx-head screws.
I found that removing the passenger seat (which is not hard to do) makes the job a lot easier and reduces the total time to replace the blower. Otherwise, you have to work upside down and twist yourself around the seat.
Did certain speeds on the blower fail before it stop working alltogether? If so, I'd wager it's the blower relay - which is an easier and less costly fix.
How do you change the front brake pads on a 2003 Honda Accord EX 4-cylinder?
OK so I started to simply make some suggestions and it turned out to be close to an actual so I'm putting it here as well for Gino.
Honda front brake pads are easy to replace compared to many other types. If you have less than 50,000 miles on the car you should not be worrying about the front pads. Since you are we'll presume you drive a lot like I used to and the concern is valid. Don't let dealers try to get you to worry about such things so they can make a killing on a repair.
1) If you don't know where to start I would suggest going to your local auto parts supply (not the dealer!) such as Kragen, Shucks, Murray, Checker, or Advanced Auto Parts Stores. These are all owned by "Parts America" and the names are related to the area you live in. See their web site at www.partsamerica.com for the nearest location to you.
2) Get a Chilton's auto repair manual for your vehicle, they are available for free at some public libraries (here in Seattle at least), even accessible online with your library account. It will provide you with the details on how to change your brake pads. It will also tell you how to inspect them (after you jack the car up take the wheel off)to see if they are in need of replacement.
3) If you decide to do this on your own, you will need some simple tools. First suggestion I tell my friends is before you start to do anything to remove the caliper is to turn the wheel a few times. When the car is stopped the front brakes tend to stay close to the wheel. If you don't know the air that is generated when the car is moving creates an air cushion that keeps the brake pads away from the rotor. By turning the wheel first you will loosen this enough to make it easier to do the job.
4) Second thing before you remove the caliper is to examine the disks. You will be able to see about 3/4 of the disk at a time because the caliper blocks your view. Because you turned the wheel before removing it you should be able to turn the disk grabbing the lug bolts that the wheel attached to. Please DO NOT touch the rotor with your hands. These need to be clean at all times. What you are looking for is to see if the rotors are worn and need replacing. Starting at the part closest to the hub follow the profile of the rotor surface to the outer most part. The surface should be smooth, have no discoloration, and with a 2003 vehicle there should be almost NO ridge at the outer edge (1/4 inch). I have a 2002 CR-V and there is no ridge on my rotors. My wifes '97 Accord has 84,000 miles on it and just a bit of a ridge; This is acceptable wear. (bye the way I didn't have to replace her brake pads until the car hit 70,000 miles.) If you see any significant ripples on the surfaces then you have spent too much time with your foot on the brake. If you have anything other than smooth rotors you should consider having someone qualified (with experience that is) work on it. Find a friend because "Turning the Rotors" requires knowledge and a machine shop is not a fun job nor anything to be taken lightly.
5) Gather the tools (Wrenches will be METRIC) and follow the instructions in the book to remove the rotors. Remember they are fairly heavy as they are made of cast iron for durability. They will remain attached to the car via the brake hose. DO NOT attempt to remove them, this would make a big mess and add to the cost. I do recommend you have a box like a milk carton crate and a couple of smaller items available to stack up as necessary to rest the caliper upon.
6) A large "C-Clamp" is always useful to push the "Puck" pack into the caliper. This must be done so that the thicker pads can fit between the caliper and the rotor. The C-Clamp will have to have an opening of at least 6 inches to be useful. Be careful not to place the c-clamp at an angle or you can jam the puck. I like to use a piece of 1/4 inch plywood across the entire puck surface and that way pressure is placed evenly around the puck as you gently tighten the clamp thus pressing the puck back into the caliper.
6) Make sure you DO NOT touch the face of the new pads with dirty hands or they will have a tendency to squeak. The dirt and/or oil from your hands should be removed prior to installing the pads into the caliper.
Chilton's books will provide you with a list of tools usually required to do the job and the specifications for your car. The pads should run between $40 and $75 depending upon where you live. The book will become your best friend if you intend to do maintenance of this type in the future so look at it as an investment in long term savings.

How do you remove the rear door panel on a 1991 dodge dynasty?
Open the cigarette tray, remove the small phillips screw. At the bottom of the door panel, there are two screws located under the carpet. Pull back the bottom front corner and rear upper corner and remove these two phillips screws. Remove the light cover, prying carefully at the front and rear of the clear lens. Behind it is a phillips screw.
There are a few metal clips around the periphery of the door that will hold the panel in place, but the panel is easily pried away from the door. However there remains one white plastic clip which fastens the interior door handle to the metal door frame in the center of the panel. I was unable to find any way to remove this, so ended up using a small pry bar to pull it from the square metal opening in the door.
After this, the panel is lifted upward to remove from the top of the door frame.
I'm doing the exact same thing to mine. I'm on Propane and haven't used that crap for fifteen years so I've got it thinned out pretty good now and fancy valve covers and a regular intake manifold on mine. It looks pretty slick when it's done. A new truck and lots of room under the hood. I also took out the gas tanks and exhaust and have headers and 7" x 8'long lakers(side pipes) for mine wow it looks great and sounds great too. e-mail me and let me know how you're doing with yours. I'm leaving my ac alone but taking the air pump off. I think you need it if you keep EFI but if you put a carb on it it can go. that looks awesome. "alllittleletters@msn.com"
How do you reset the compass on a 1998 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer?
There is a small hole on the underneath side of the rearview mirror. You have to use a paperclip to push the reset button inside and turn the vehicle in slow, short circles until it resets.
Where is low pressure ac refill on the 2000 Malibu with v6?
The low pressure port for the a/c is below the alternator and against the firewall. To get to it you have to reach back below the alternator (you'll see some tubes/chords, so move those to see it). It'll have a blue cap with an "L" on it and it'll be about a foot down from the top.

WikiAnswers is designed to provide a specific answer to a specific question. * Questions that do not contain enough information cannot be answered - asking "did he die?" or "how did she become rich?" cannot be answered because we do not know who you are asking the question about. * General questionsusually cannot be answered because it would take an entire website or a textbook to do that - questions such as "Explain biology" or "What are the names of all cars ever made?" are too broad to be answered. * Questions that require us to look at a picture or diagram that you have in front of you cannot be answered because we cannot see your assignment page. * Questions that must be answered with the questioners opinion cannot be answered by anyone except you - job application questions such as "Why do you feel you should work for this company?" or "Where do you hope to be in five years?" cannot be answered by another person. * Partial questions or question fragments cannot be answered - a sentence fragment such as "preparation for a position" or "pi plus" do not explain what your question is, and cannot be answered. * Questions that are actually statements cannot be answered because they are not questions. "You are in love with a boy and he does not know you exist" is not a question and cannot be answered. * Questions that should be asked in a chat roomcannot be answered because this is not a chat room. "Who are you?" or "What is your favorite color?" are not questions that can be answered on this website. The WikiAnswers Stylebook will help you write a proper question that can be answered for you. See related links below. Tip: Don't use pronouns such as he, she, it, them, their, his, her, its, and so forth in your question. Chances are, we won't know who she, he, them, and what it is and won't be able to answer your question. You must indicate the subject properly in your question. However, questions in which the subject is already indicated within it, may use those pronouns, ex: "When Miley Cyrus starred on Hannah Montana, how old was she?" is okay. If you believe that your question should not have been placed into this catch-all question, please contact a supervisor. A list is linked below under Related Links. ----
Note to supervisors: This is a catch-all question. Neither it nor its alternate wordings should be removed. See related questions for more info about catch-all questions. Please note: some questions that are fragments or actually statements can be trashed instead of merged. This is a judgment call. Ask yourself if the fragment/statement could be asked by someone, somewhere, sometime in the future. If it could be, then merge it. If it wouldn't be, trash it. Before either trashing or merging, please attempt to rephrase the fragment into a real question. "not enough info" is a shortcut question to merge into.
Two possibilities come to mind, strictly theoretical since I don't work as a mechanic, I am an engineer: 1. Running too rich. This lowers the combustion temperature which keeps NOX low but the unburned hydrocarbons and incomplete combustion result in high HC and CO emission. Check O2 sensor, airflow/airmass sensor, computer codes, injectors, etc. 2. An alternative theory is that the catalyst is no longer effective, or perhaps if it has air injection, the air pump is no longer doing its job - the catalyst cannot burn off the pollutants because there is no oxygen available in the exhaust stream or the material is no longer usable.
How do you replace the headlight assembly on the driver side of a 2001 golf?
i work at an auto repair centre in Brampton, Ontario in Canada. I myself drive a 99 jetta VR6 --- volkswagens are kind of difficult to work with, after all it is a German Import for us in North America...mechanics and people in general have a tendency to break bolts and screws, only because their is a special requirement to change these components.. and that is the proper tool.... proper tools will make life easier.. all you require is a Philip screwdriver a big head prefered. and some physical manpower .... take pictures before you take your light out ... open all the bolts and screws and then take a picture of that as well... install your new light...and follow the pictures of assembly that you have taken to reverse order install them... any questions... get back to me at xxpimpzrusxx@hotmail.com ( sorry old email addy when i was younger.. still works though )
It depends on what you mean by "work" and what your expectations are. There are slippers promoted as heated slippers that contain special insulation that are supposed to retain heat but do not provide any extra warmth. They typically don't keep your feet warmer than just wearing a pair of wool socks. http://www.hammacher.com/Product/79784?promo=search
Then there are heated slippers with gel packs that can be heated up in the microwave that will provide a lot of warmth initially but the heat dissipates over a short time. http://www.cosysoles.ca/
There are also electric slippers powered by the USB port on your computer. The USB port on the computer is limited to how much power it can provide and therefore do not provide much heat. Plus you are tethered to a computer making it difficult to move around. http://www.usbgeek.com/prod_detail.php?prod_id=0502
Lastly, there are battery powered heated slippers. The best are powered by lithium battery packs that can recharged and used over and over again. They provide consistent heat at high temperatures giving your feet warmth for hours on a single charge. However, these are the most expensive and the price can exceed $100 for a quality pair. http://3volt.net/
So these are some of the options and as I stated earlier, it depends on your expectations and your needs.
The shifter on my 97 expedition won't shift out of park when I start it?
Here is what I found on line.... Ok, here's what I know...
If your system is after market:
The Parking Lights Would Flash, A siren Is Going Off,
An LED Is Flashing As Well, and You May Have A Shock/Impact
sensor set Too High Too. Try The Following Procedure
To Disarm/Disable It.
To start with, you can identify which after market
system you have by using the FCC. ID.# found
on the back of each remote. Try a site
like www.keynfob.com or remotes4you.com
to track down the one you have in your hand.
Now let's put the system into overide mode.
As far as the valet/overide button, it's a hidden
device-switch, a little spring loaded micro button,
red or black possibly and is probably down under
the dash area, near your knee/leg. In some
remote start/alarm combos, the antenna on the window
glass will also have an override/valet button.
Older sytems will have a flip type toggle switch.
When you locate the button or switch,
turn on the ignition key, press and hold
in the button until the alarm chirps 1 time
(for toggle types, key on, flip switch in the
opposite direction, then key off)
This should over ride the system, and only the
keyless entry part, if installed, would still be
operating.
You would get a single chirp to confirm from the siren.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid. This is valet/overide/reset.
This should correct any issues like starter disable,
or anti-hijack. Your keyless entry, if installed,
will still be operable. The have it inspected for the
falsing issues you are experience at a local shop.
You would repeat the same steps to toggle
back into user mode.
That should do it for 90% of the after market alarms
out there.
If however, yours is a "FACTORY" or, OEM
(original Equipment Manufacturer) "alarm/security" system,
then the disabling procedure info for any given
specific vehicle is now deamed to be too sensitive to
publish here (as suggested by ALLEXPERTS administration.!).
So, to comply, as of March,22 08, this service is no longer
part of the volunteer information I can offer for free here at
ALLEXPERTS.com . Specific OEM/FACTORY alarm disarm/disabling
info is now available ONLY at the WIREWERX.
My installation wiring charts provide the proper wire colors,
polarities, and locations to install a keyless entry,
remote start or, car alarm system into any given vehicle,
or if just trying to disarm/disable your factory/OEM system,
there is a link there to get a tutourial on how to do it yourself
for only $3.99.
I hope you can appreciate the legal reasons behind not
providing this info any longer to just anyone who asks
for general consumption. By doing it this way, I'll
get a record of payment and a name/email address as
a stop gap to help prevent any unauthorized disabling of
your system or anyone elses, by a would be car thief!
Please go to the WIREWERX so I can get you the
info you require to fix your situation.
Good luck with this issue.

Where are the plugs located on a 98 ford expedition 5.4l motor?
How to Change Spark Plugs on 4.6 & 5.4 Liter
By Dave West
I've replaced plugs on quite a few 5.4Ls now (the 4.6L with plug wires is similar) and once you've done a set they really are not as bad as they look. Contrary to what some people will say, you don't have to remove the fuel rails. The Coil on Plug (COP) assemblies will come out past the fuel rail. I take an old piece of seat foam and put it on top of the radiator support to the engine to allow me to lay on it without hurting my tummy. It makes the job way less painful.
Start by removing the cover over the throttle body (the black plastic cover that says "5.4" on it). There are three 10mm head bolts that hold it on. Next remove the air intake tube from the throttle body to the air filter housing. You loosen the hose clamps at either end of it; disconnect the connector on the AT (about half way up the air intake hose), the pull out the small hoses that go into the air intake tube near the throttle body. Next remove the brace from the power steering reservoir to thermostat housing. There are three 8mm or 5/16" head screws that hold it on. Now you should be able to see the COPs.
To remove the COPs you can use a 7mm or 9/32" wrench or nut driver or socket, extension and ratchet or all of the above. If you turn the fuel injectors to the side it will give you more room to work with the COPs. Unplug the connector on each COP by pressing the tab in and pulling on the connector. After you're done that just twist and pull the COPs out. A couple of the COPs on the driver's side and #4 on the passenger's side are a bit hard to get at but with some patience they will come out.
After you've removed the COPs take a blow gun and blow out the spark plug holes. Don't be surprised if there is rust and junk in them. Next you can actually remove the plugs. Use a combination of extensions, swivels (universal joints), sockets and ratchets to get at them. Whatever works best for you is good.
On the harder ones to get at I usually use a socket with a 4" extension, then a swivel, then a long extension, then the ratchet. The plugs are way down in the hole which is why I use the extension then the swivel. The swivel makes it easier to clear the firewall.
Set the gap on the new plugs to whatever it says on your emissions decal on the radiator support....usually .052-.056". Apply a small amount of anti-seize to the threads only on the spark plug. You can use a piece of vacuum hose or fuel hose over the end of the plug to get it started in the hole. Carefully start the plugs in their holes. If you can't get them most of the way in by hand with the hose take a look and see why not. Cross threaded plug threads are no fun! The plugs are to be tightened to 13 lb-ft. which is just hand tight with a short ratchet. Don't over tighten them! The threads in the aluminum heads have enough problems as it is. After that just put everything back together in reverse order. Apply some dielectric grease to the plug boots as well to help seal them.
I've done enough of these that I can replace the plugs in approximately 45 minutes but don't be surprised if the first time you do it takes a few hours.
Show me a Diagram fuse box 93 sunbird?
I can't display images directly, but I can describe the fuse box layout for a 1993 Pontiac Sunbird. Typically, the fuse box is located under the dashboard on the driver's side, near the steering column. It contains fuses for various electrical components like the headlights, radio, and power windows, with a diagram usually found on the inside cover indicating the function of each fuse. For an accurate diagram, I recommend checking a repair manual or an online automotive resource.
Highly unlikely. Might want to try one of the strap-type filter wrenches. Position it as high on the filter as possible where you can squeeze harder without deforming.
make sure that you are turning it counter clockwise
The switch should be where your light are. You just pull out on the light switch but the fog lights will not come on unless all lights are on.
