The good news for the Windstar is the entire dashboard does NOT have to be removed in order to replace this heater core! Seems most vehicles for many years make this a huge project - but the Windstar looks to be much less involved.
Sounds like you heater core I would not try to fix it yourself as it could be a big job, take it to your local rad shop would be the best.

Heater Housing
The heater housing is usually under the dash and must be removed to gain access to the heater core. Procedures for replacing the heater core vary with the year, make, and model of car. It is therefore necessary to consult the manufacturer's repair manuals for the proper procedure for replacement.
The heater housing is disassembled to get to the heater core.
Heater Core Remove the access panels(s) or the split heater/air conditioning case to gain access to the heater core. Remove the heater coolant hoses. Remove the cable and/or vacuum control lines (if equipped). Remove the heater core securing brackets and/or clamps. Lift the core from the case. Do not use force. Take care not to damage the fins of the heater core when removing. To reinstall the heater core, reverse the removal steps. When the heater core leaks and must be repaired or replaced, it is a very difficult and time-consuming job primarily because of the core's location deep within the firewall of the car. For this reason always leak test a replacement heater core before installation.

Can a transmission from a 1995 3.8l Windstar be put in a 2000 Windstar?
Maybe, 95 windstar has a different plug for transmission shift and the netrual safety switch ,But the plug for the trans can be changed, also you must have both in front of you to compare.95-97 ,98-01,your trans is an AX4N and uses syn fluild,,the car computer makes the trans shift.95 is an AX4S,I think it will work but as always you will have things to deal with.
check your insurance policy you might be covered for loss of keys if so let them deal with it

Troubleshoot squealing and grinding noise from 1995 Nissan Maximum?
Your question is vague, but since you used the words "squealing/grinding" I first start to look at the brakes. The squealing could be coming from your brake pads. Some brake pads come with a safety mechanism that alerts to when the brake pads are nearing replacement time. If you ignore that squealing then it turns to a grinding because there ain't no brake pad left. At this point, you're now looking at replacing the rotors as well as the pads. Rule of thumb is that if one side is bad then the other is just as bad or not far behind it.

the pcm fuse on the 06 ram 1500 is #31
If this part isn't made anymore then the part itself would be a lot more expensive. If the part is located and replaced by said mechanic then the price would be fair.

How do you fix the air defrost in a 1990 Ford Tempo?
This happend to mine, so Im guessing you have the same problem. Under the hood and in the back, along the firewall. Close to the top and middle you will see a vacuum tree. Check there for any of those lines having a tear or just came off. One of my hoses had dry rotted. An air leak there will cause your defrost to not work

Sending unit wires are on top of the tank some times you can see it (or the wires that go to it )test them there you'll need a good meter!!

We have a 98 and it seemed that sometimes it wouldn't shift right, and the speedometer would all of a sudden stop.I would drop it down to second gear and it would stop, and straighten out. Quiestion to you: Do you have a check engine light on? If so, take it to your nearest Auto Zone, have them do test on it. 9 times out of ten it will proboly say it's the speed sensor. Try that.

very well could be a engine control relay/motor shutdown relay...however everthing oil, fuel and spark related are made to work together. so if the right thing goes out(ecm fuse to injector port, starter,or any moving/firing componet)then one thing COULD bring down the whole system and take out a few others with it by creating more stress on that part(most common the battery, fuel filter clogged from trash at the pump in tank, and multiple fuses and relays)to answer your question,i would start with the basics first...check elec points like fuses and sensors, then oil pump and distributer, etc.(process of elimination)any questions, you are anybody can e-mail me at dwhitfield87@AOL.com...or you can come to my work and ask for dan w. , at Jeff gord cheverlet, wilmington,North Carolina.

Where is the horn located on the Ford Windstar?
It should be behind the splash shield in front of the drivers side tire. Remove the screws from the edge of the shield. Behind this will be pit type fasteners remove these. The horn should be visible. It might be easier to do if you remove the front tire. Then just remove the connector and unscrew or unclip horn. Since the horn is exposed to the weather, the wire connections tend to corrode. Many times just pulling the connector off and scraping the metal will fix the problem.
How do you set the engine timing on a Windstar?
You cannot set the timing as it is all under computer control.
The timing is controlled by the computer. Cannot check timing. Suspect timing is off, cam sensor, crank sensor, worn timing chain, bad pcm.
Sounds like a timing issue. Maybe the timing belt jumped. Take it to an Autozone, I think they do a free chek on computer codes.
