Why is the radiator fan not working 1990 geo prism?
'cause it's not getting electricity.... you have to determine why. it will only run when the engine gets hot to cool it back down but you have to find out whether the signal is sent by the temp sensor to the fan relay
It's like having a prepaid phone. They give you unlimited talk, text and internet for about $40 a month. They'll send you a text when your bill is due, and then you either pay over the phone or go to a MetroPCS store and pay.
You can buy one of their phones or flash over a CDMA phone (Sprint/Verizon phones are CDMA), they'll charge you $50 to flash it over. You won't be able to use the internet on a phone that has been flashed to MetroPCS, so it may be better to buy one of their phones, unless the need for internet access is not an issue for you.
I hope I helped! :)

How do you tell what is wrong on a 1997 Geo Metro 4 cylinder not getting gas to the carburetor?
Sounds like you've either got a clogged fuel filter or a defective fuel pump. Can you hear the pump run when you turn the key on? If not, the first things to check would be the fuse and relay for the fuel pump.
How much oil do you put in a 1991 Geo Metro Convertible?
It should hold either 4 or 4 1/2 quarts after oil drain and oil filter change. Just drain your oil, replace your filter, and put 4 quarts in it. Start it and let run for about 30 seconds so new oil will circulate and fill new oil filter. Shut car off and pull out oil dipstick. If oil level is at top of hashed section on stick then level is full. if it is 1/2 way up hashed section then add 1/2 quart.
do it in the firing order it 's easier: 1-4-2-5-3-6

How do you change a headlight in a 1998 Chevy Metro?
*note: As it is unknown which light is out, and since it is recommended to replace both lights, directions for both the passanger and driver side lights are provided. After purchasing two 9007 bulb's from your local autoparts store and popping the hood... 1) Gain access to the driver side plug and bulb on the back-side of the headlamp by removing the battery. This is done by unscrewing the bolt on the left side of the base of the battery which clamps down a metal plate that holds it in place. After removing the bolt and plate, you should have enough room by simply lifting and moving the battery backward, without unplugging it. I did. 2) Gain access to the driver side plug and bulb by removing the air-filter. Don't forget to remove the bolt found further down the air shaft that helps hold it in place. Remove the bold will allow you to unclip the air-filter casing and slide it out of its hooks on the bottom. 3) Remove the plug and bulb on the back-side of each headlamp by twisting the retaining ring (counter-clockwise when faceing it from the inside of the hood). You will then be able to twist and pull out the plug and bulb from the headlamp assembly. 4) Remove the bulb from the plug by pushing down the clip that holds it in place while pulling the bulb out. Push the new bulb into the plug until you hear the clip snap it into place. Turn on the headlights after each replacement to make sure it works before you finish the job. 5) Twist the plug assembly and ring back into place (this may take a bit of fiddling as it is snug and is kinda' like a puzzle), replace the air-filter and battery, and enjoy your new and functioning headlights!
Make sure your fluid is on full, while the car is running. You could try a good transmission additive ( Lucas transmission) I would strongly recommend this product. If you fluid level is full, make sure to drain some fluid, then replace that amount with Lucas. Otherwise, it could be the transmission sensor or similar
Why does your 1989 Geo Metro jump out of fifth gear?
My 1995 Metro jumps out of fifth gear when the gear is worn out. I had the transmission rebuilt, and fifth gear replaced, at 150k miles and fifth gear replaced again at 220k miles. The transmission shop that did the second repair told me that fifth gear is located outside the main part of the housing and is not lubricated by direct contact with the transmission oil. Instead the oil is pumped by the action of the shaft into a channel and spout system that pours oil on the gear. Part of this system is plastic and prone to damage. Even when working perfectly, the system tends to under lubricate fifth gear, in their mechanic's opinion. On the plus side, it is not necessary to remove the transmission to get at fifth gear, they can just remove a housing to inspect and replace it. On the down side, it still costs hundreds of dollars if it has to be replaced. I had a general mechanic perform the rebuild and the transmission specialist speculated that he probably was not familiar with all the components of the lubrication system for fifth gear and didn't replace it properly. They could not even find one piece that was essential when they did the second repair. I recommend taking it to a transmission specialist that has worked on metros.

Where does the black soot in the egr valve come from?
EGR stands for exhaust gas recirculation valve. it is used as a polution control device to lower the Nox in the burnt fuel. If you are getting soot in the egr valve, you might also be getting soot out of the exhaust pipe and your car is most likely running VERY rich (Rich meaning that you have too much fuel in your fuel air mixture. Lean is when you have too little fuel in the fuel air mixture)
What is the service engine soon code breaker for a 1996 Geo Metro?

What kind of freon does a 94 Geo Metro need?
the older freon-very expensive. have it flushed and retro fitted with the new R134A... you can do it yourself-buy a refresh kit at WalMart..about $30.oo Now for the correct answer. There is only one kind of FREON. It is the brand of R-12 Refrigerant made by Dupont. What you need to do to avoid spending $100-$150 per pound is retrofit it to an R-134A system. Production of R-12 was ended on Dec. 31, 1995 since it destroyed the ozone layer. However R-134A will be done sometime around 2009 since it is a green house gas (global warming). By the way, if you want to avoid a $32,500 dollar fine for not having a license to work on refrigeration systems, pick up the EPA section 609 test book. The test fee is $15.00. Well worth the test fee compared to fine or 5 years in jail. LOL
How do you change the fuel regulator on a 1993 Geo Metro?
Remove both halves of the air filter housing. On top of the air horn right next to the fuel injector is a square cover with 4 screws equally spaced. Remove the 4 screws and remove the rubber fuel pressure regulator diaphram. Note position of the spring and install new parts in same postition. Its very important to be careful installing the new regulator to be sure there are no kinks or overlaps. IMPORTANT NOTE: to avoid breaking off the screws it is adviseable to start the car and warm it to operating temperature before attempting to remove the screws. after re-assembly, cycle key a few times to purge air from system. Job is complete
