Where is the windshield wiper switch on a 1992 Geo Metro?

On my 1992 Geo Metro hatchback, the windshield wiper switch is on the right hand side of the steering column, opposite the turn signal switch. Please be advised that this switch handle breaks off very easily and you have to buy the whole combo switch (turn signal, flasher switch and wiper switch).

What are the timing marks and how are they lined up on a 1995 Geo Metro 3 cylinder?

You should look at the sticker on the botton of your hood. It Should tell you TIMING "BTDC" which is the recommended timing for your application. Such as my 1996 Geo Metro says 5 Degrees "BTDC" (Before Top Dead Center)(cylinder 1) I would not go much more the recommended. Replacing a head is an exspensive mistake. Good luckat the bottom of the timing-belt cover align the mark on the crank pulley @ 10 degrees, then on your cam you should see two marks, one has a small dimple below it.use the mark w/o the dimple and line it up with the small notch located on the valve-cover.be sure the belt is good and tight or she'll jump out time. that's how i set the time on my 95' and now she runs like top. hope that helped...

Is the Geo Metro 3 cylinder 1 liter engine an interrupting type?

Do you mean interference type or non-interference type?

If this is what your asking, it is a non-interference type. this means that the timing belt can brake and no damage to the engine will accur. interference type means that if the belt brakes the pistons can hit the valves and bend and or brake stuff. don't worry about it on a geo metro I had two brake and it just stops running and replacing the timing belt takes 45 min to replace, it's easy. "BUGS"

How hard should the camshaft be to turn on a 1995 geo metro 3 cylinder?

You cannot turn it by hand, except 5-10 degrees during some parts of its revolution. You can turn it with the 17mm bolt on the end. The specs on the bearing cap bolts are hard to come by, but I think they are about 17 foot pounds, and people generally tend to overtighten them, which will cause the camshaft to turn harder.

Since the cam is operating valves, it will depend on where in the revolution you are as to whether it will be harder or easier to turn the shaft. The cam can be removed by taking only the left and center bearing caps off, and loosening the right cap.

Will a 85 geo metro engine work in 95 geo metro?

If its from 85 then its NOT a geo metro engine. It is probably a Chevrolet Sprint engine because they only started making Geos in 88. If you need an engine for your 95 Geo then you could use one of the following: 1991 - 1995 Geo Metro engine. 1991 - 1995 Suzuki Swift Engine, and 1991 - 1995 Pontiac FireFly engine. Hope this helps :)

What could be wrong with a 1997 Geo Metro that will not run but will idle for a few seconds?

You might have a catalytic converter that is clogged. Could be the fuel pump. It may be providing enough fuel to start and operate the vehicle, but shuts down immediately so your engine starves. Could be out of time! MAy have jumped! I have a 93 doing the same thing and it jumped time on me!

What would cause a grinding noise when you only turn slightly to the left on a 1996 Geo Metro?

If the "grinding noise" is present while cornering left and all but disappears when cornering right, my experience* says it's your right rear wheel bearings needing replaced.

* My '96 did the exact same thing

another thing to check is my exhaust pipe would rub the rear suspension on the passengers side and make an awful noise only when turning left and it would be worse with more weight in the car

My heat doesn't work in 92 Geo Metro How do you fix it?

Metro's range from acceptable to non existant. Is radiator full? feel both heater hoses and see if it circulating. Hotter therostat. Outside air door not closed or not sealed. Simple fix may be to just put a piece of cardboard over the bottom half to two thirds of the radiator.

How do you reset the computer on a 1995 Geo Metro?

Take the terminals off the battery and leave them off for 30 minutes, then put them back on.

What is preliminary situation?

the explanation of events that occured before the action of the play begins

What would cause rear defrost switch and heater switch to quite working on a 1992 geo metro no fuses are blowing?

Are you talking about two separate switches?

The rear defrost switch might have corroded contacts or a bad spring mechanism. The factory manual recommends you pull off a few covers and drop the steering column to get to the defrost switch, but I found that some careful prying at the top and bottom of the defrost switch where it meets the dash with a knife point or thin flat screwdriver will get it to pop out. If you are adventuresome, pop the switch open and clean the contacts (look out for a flying spring!) , otherwise get one from the dealership or friendly local junk yard.

What does the acronym PTC mean?

How is the metro powered?
