At any sport store they should have it. Storm chasing is a very popular thing to do. So any outdoor store should carry it. If not then maybe check on Amazon or eBay for a used one.

How do you replace a cylinder head on a 1994 Geo Tracker?
I recommend you get a service manual; the one the dealer techs use not Chilton, etc.. Ebay usually have these for the specific year. If you are going to do any work on your car you will need the service manual. The head can be removed after you remove the intake and exhaust manifolds, valve cover, head bolts (the 16v engine requires some of the rocker arms be removed to get to the head bolts). The service manual will give a step by step procedure.
How do you find the wiring for your dashboard lights on your 1996 Geo Tracker?
Hi, The easiest way I found on my '97 and when I went to the junk yards I found it the easiest on earlier models too, was to remove the instrument panel assy, very carefully as the speedo cable is attached to it and the plugs for the instrument panel are atteched to the top of the panel. Care is needed as you don't want to short the flexible circuit board on the back. The lights are right as well as those circuits and their wiring is what you will have unplugged. The wiring for the radio and heater/fan lights are behind those and you need to remove the bezels and the ashtray and lighter. When you have those items removed, the wiring is behind those items. The hardest thing about the removal of the instrument cluster is replacing the speedo cable and getting the panel wiring plugged back in all at the same time. It's not easy so I wish you luck and patience and I hope this helps, if it doesn't or more help is neede please ask more. Thanks, Steve
it could be the coolant temp unit. it senses the engine temp and adjust the throttle occordingly so the engine can easly worm up to operating temp. when i first start my 1990 tracker up, it will idle at around 2,000 rpm until it warms up then it will idle at around 700 rpms.
automatic idle switch.Nah. Supprised that your engine hasn't 'gernaded'! Something's mechanically sticking in WOT (wide open thottle) when you first start up; like the throttle plate/accellerator cable???
sounds like the cable is bad just take it to the shop and have it replaced
you will love this answer because i have had the same thing that is going on with my geo. one when they go to check your breaks they can adjust the cable. and that does not to it then you will have to live with the noise. if the adjustment does not do it then you will have to deal with the sound, got that answer from the make rs of geo trackers
firestone can adjust it
What causes the fan belt in a 1993 tracker to squeal?
It can be several things, either by themselves, or in combination. 1) the belt has dried up and isn't as grippy any more. This causes it to slip and squeal. There are sprays available to restore grip on belts which might help. 2) the belt has stretched a little, which causes it to slip and squeal. Retension, usually by adjusting the alternator position and it should be OK. 3) one of the auxilliaries(alternator, power steering pump, water pump) is about to seize. If it's harder to rotate the belt will slip and squeal.
Where can you get a wiring diagram for a 1997 Geo Tracker so you can install a remote starter?
Hi, I'm hoping that we all can find some info here; http://www.the12volt.com/carsecurity/page1.asp There's another site that I'm trying to locate here too that has wiring diagrams. I'll post that when I find it. Steve H.
Does anyone have a 1992 Geo Tracker radio wiring diagram?
Hi, I have the wiring diagrams that are in the Chilton's that I have. The Chilton's covers from 1986-1998. I don't have a way to put them on line but I can help. If there's a part you need help with, please ask and I'll help with whatever I can. If you need I can e-mail you. Steve H.
just google the geo tracker radio wires
theres a web site called 12 volt, but personally, I am happy using the stereo interface (adapter) that I bought at wal-mart, simple plug-n-play set-up, that you wire direct to your aftermarket stereo all of the wires are marked so even electrically challenged people like me can do it..lol
What would cause reverse lights to come on in 5th gear not reverse 89 tracker-new switch?
Well, I'm not a Tracker owner, so please take this with a grain of salt. If the reverse lights come on at all, I'd say that the switch if OK. It sounds like it needs to be adjusted or repostioned. My best suggestion is to run down to your local parts store and pick up a Chilton or Haynes manual. The books can give you a more definitive answer and pictures! FriPilot

How do you replace a water pump on a 1992 Geo Tracker?
You really need a manual for the car to do this repair - there are alot of parts that must be removed in order to replace the pump which is fairly easy once you get there. You must aslo torque all bolts and nuts to specified values.
How do you tighten the belts on a 1992 Geo Tracker?
The belts on the '92 are the same as any other car for the alternator and it is easy. Loosen the main alternator bolt that holds the alt. to the block. DO NOT REMOVE IT! Loosen the small bolt near the top of the alternator, lean the alt. into the block and remove the belt. Put it in a place that you will know which one it is, they are almost the same size! Then remove the power steering belt in the same manner. You will have to loosen the bolts from the bottom and utilize the round holes in the pulley for your socket, as well as from the top side for the tensioning bolt. Set THAT belt in another area so you don't mix them up. I don't have AC, so I assume that the belt for it is similar. They can be a bear getting them over the fan, watch your knuckles! Once you are sure of which new belt is which, install each belt in reverse of the way they came off. I tension the belts with a large screwdriver against the block, using it as a lever to make the belt have about 1/2" movement at the middle point in the belt. Tighten the alternator top bolt first, and then the block bolt. The power steering belt is more difficult, but follow the step to remove it in reverse. AC belt, the same as you took it off in reverse.
Your 1997 geo tracker will not start unless you jump the solenoid with a screwdriver what is wrong?
replace the solenoid ,is shorted.
How to install 2' body lift in Geo Tracker?
Longer body mount bolts and hockey pucks with holes drilled through dead center is the cheapest, of course you will need to get extended break lines same as on any body lift kit just way cheaper
you wont need extended break lines with a 2" body lift you will need to pop some break line mounts and carefully bend existing ones to work just fine
The first thing it sounds like is a vacuum. if not, check timing.

You can put 225/75/15 on it with no problem. I have a 96 Tracker and currently running

Will a 1989 suzuki engine interchange with a 1995 tracker?
Yes it should, with a bit of work. But first, is the car registered or do you intend to register it? In CA anyway, it is illegal to put an older engine in a newer car, and if you do and get caught you will not be able to register the car. It IS legal to put a newer engine in an older car, but technically then it must pass the smog rules of the newer engine, which means it could be problematic. But if you're looking at a pure off-roader that's something else. The reason I say "it should" is that Geo Tracker 1600cc engines were commonly swapped into Suzuki Samurai's to give them more power. Generally you would put an 8 valve Geo engine into a Samurai...if you had a 16 valve Geo you had more stuff you needed to bring over with it. SO: If your Geo Tracker has an 8 valve engine: The samurai engine should be able to reuse the same intake and exhaust manifolds. The bell housing of the transmission will probably not have "ears" in the right places to bolt onto the samurai block, so it will need modification. And there may be challenges with the starter too. I never made a tracker engine -> samurai body swap but had read a lot about it. Some folks sold an engine/transmission adapter plate, others talked about just having someone who could weld aluminum weld on new ears on the bell housing. Since the Geo is fuel injected, it uses an electronic fuel pump at much higher pressure than the carburatored samurai used. The Samurai "head" will have an eccentric off the camshaft to drive a rod out the side of the rear of the passenger side of the head to drive the mechanical fuel pump. But since you will be reusing the Geo manifold, fuel injector, and fuel pump you do not need the mechanical fuel pump off the samurai engine. So you could just unbolt the samura fuel pump, pull out the little rod or shaft, and then make a small trapizoidal shaped plate to bolt on in place of the fuel pump so oil does not pour out the fuel pump hole. IF you have a 16-valve Geo I would not consider using a Samurai engine....you would have to swap in the Samurai intake manifold and carb, and keep the mechanical fuel pump and disable or eliminate the stock geo one, and on and on. It would be a lot of work to have a much weaker engine.
You could probably get away with that once without causing trouble if you were changing oil on a regular schedule. Just don't let it happen again. After the vehicle goes through the original break-in period, there are very few particulates in the oil that can get caught by a filter. The old filter should be ok, but recognize that it holds "old" oil and the newer oil is slightly contaminated with the older oil. It's ok, don't panic, just make sure it's done right next time.
How can one use a flight tracker online?
A flight tracker can be used to estimate the arrival and departure time of a flight as well as calculating the total in-air time. Most apps currently offered by airlines are free and can be set to notify an individual about delays or cancellations.
