Fuel gauges are not completely accurate. You would seem smarter if you calculated your mileage using your trip odometer. It is not as difficult as it seems and you will have a more accurate method of gauging your fuel usage and knowing your gas mileage.
Your oil in your car is milky colored?
Milky oil is due to moisture in the oil. Could be from an internal engine failure. ie head gasket. Could also be a failed oil cooler .(if equipped)
I agree totally with the above. One way to tell if its a head gasket and not another issue is to remove the radiator cap and smell the fluid. Is it smelling like oil? Does it have a film?
Now fill the radiator but don't put the cap back on, and try starting. Does the fluid blow out the cap? If so then definitely its a head gasket. For you this is good. If it doesnt then you could have a crack in the block some where. The only thing good about this is that there are sealers made that can seal these if not too extensive. Get some cheap oil and replace what was in the car. Then put the sealer in the radiator and run as directed.
If it works then you are good for awhile but its a bandaid, not a fix. As for the other suggestion above? Go his route first and bypass the cooler. Also some feed your radiator with oil from the engine not a secondary cooler. Your radiator could have an internal hole in it. Again bypass the radiator and change the oil with a cheap off the shelf one. Remember you are just trying to determine the issue and protect the engine for a short period. If you don't find the issue you are gonna trash the oil again really fast. So no synthetic 8 dollar a bottle need go in yet.

To dig a little deeeper into the answer, It also may be a lown head-gasket. I recommend using a friend that knows alot about cars and buying the parts used. Letting a motor repair shop do it can cost you around $1,400!!!!!!!!

My headlights (on regular, low beam) do not work. I cannot get them to come on in the high beam either. But, if I pull the blinker arm forward for the passing flash thing, they light up on high-beams (only for as long as I hold the lights on).
I have found the problem to be a thing called "Multifunction Switch". My car is a 1997 Ford Taurus G....

I had a front left flasher problem on my jetta 97. The bulb looked OK but you could notice the solder on one of the contact on the bulb was some sort of melted a little. That was enough to make it stop working. Even tried to pull on the contact blade in the connector. It work for couple of days and bam ded again. Replaced with a new bulb and flasher worked again. I can help a little here. The Autozone website shows that the struts cost $50 each for the front, $51 for the rear. If you want to replace the springs, they're $50 each. That gives you at least some idea of parts cost. Labor, if you have the job done at the shop, will be another story. I'd expect somewhere around 3 hours at nominally $50 p/hour. I think I'd want to set aside about $ $500 to be sure everything is covered. That estimate doesn't include springs.
If you do the job yourself, you'll need to rent a spring compressor. Hopefully, you have all the other necessary hand tools.
Bear in mind that messing with the springs can be very dangerous! You must be familiar with the compressor and how to use it. If you're in doubt, have the shop do the job.
Chances are your o2 sensor is detecting an improper mixture of o2/fuel. Either your o2 sensor is failing or there is a hole between your air intake and the throttle body (Possibly on the rubber elbow).
Disreagrd the last answer, no offense but it doesnt make any sense. Sounds like you are talking about a carburated vehicle here, due to the fact that pumping the gas pedal in a fuel injected system does nothing. Chances are you have internal carburetor problems. Depending on the type of carburetor there can be a vast amount of non functioning parts. Have it rebuilt.

But... in general, Any OHV( pushrod) engine, requires draining the coolant, removing the intake manifold and anything else that is required to do so. For example, distributor, alternator or other brackets bolted to/blocking the manifold.
On O.H.C. cams, the lifter/lash adjusters/buckets (what ever you want to call them) on say a quad 4, requires removing the camshafts. Some O.H.C. engines with finger followers, you cam remove the follower by compressing the valve spring and sliding it out. Being careful to compression the valve on the opposite stroke with the piston away from TDC( example remove intake follower on exhaust stroke 30+ degrees past TDC). I've done this on a 4.0 SOHC ford to replace a broke exhaust valve spring without any specialty tools in <30mins.
How do you replace a blower motor resistor on 2002 Chevy Malibu?
It is located under the glove box, way in the back of the passenger foot area. You'll need to remove 2 screws with a 7mm socket, and remove the plastic cover that covers the blower motor and another component box that I think controls the passenger airbag. After removing the plastic cover you'll need to side that passenger airbag module to the right so it pop off its mounting bracket and move it out of the way. That'll give a better veiw of the blower motor. I highly recommend you also remove the blower motor itself because the Blower Motor Resistor is located behind it. I think you'll need a 5mm or 5.5mm socket to remove the 3 screws that hold in place the blower motor and 2 more screws for the Blower Motor Resistor... It's a cramped location to work in but if you have all the tools and enough lighting then it shouldn't take more than 30-60 minutes to do. The Blower Motor Resistor costs about $19-$25. also use a 1/4" universal joint and a 3" extension on a 5.5 mm socket to get to the farthest screw. trust me it will make alot easier
