For the caliper mount bolts that are removed during a brake pad change, 1/2" is a good fit on my 1996 F250. 13mm will fit but is a little sloppy. Were you asking about the "caliper bracket" instead?

I had a conversation with the parts man at my Toyota dealer today I asked the same question. I also own a 2008 5.7 Tundra.

First of all, if you found the oil filter you know how hard it is to get to. (Drop the skid plate.) then you discovered that there was no ordinary oil filter like you've ever seen before. And finally you got to the paper filter after removing the oil cover plate.

Well the parts man told me that you can't just purchase the tool to remove the filter it's a special tool that you can only get through MAC tools. You know the guys that drive the big white tool trucks, and it's expensive. NO ONE ELSE SELLS THE TOOL! NO ONE!

So I've decided to let Toyota do the oil changes. $80 and they rotate the tires too.

I'll bet you can't find the transmission dip stick either. Because there is NONE. Something else new to confuse you. They told me that the 5.7 tranny is designed to go 100,000 miles before an oil change in the tranny. The tranny must be brought up to a special temp and a special tool has to be used to check it and fill it. (Frustrating isn't it.) Something else that I decided to let Toyota do. I'll bet you looked in the owners manual to find out where the oil filter and tranny dipstick is, and could not really find anything. (Right) I also looked.

If you look in the manual to find how to change the "CABIN filter" (Bet you didn't know there was one) you won't really find anything either. It's easy, it behind the lower glove box. Open the Box, Remove the brace on the right side. Squeeze the sides of the box inward a little and pull it out. You will see a trap door. Open it and pull out the cabin air filter and replace it. Instructions come with it when you buy a new one at any auto store. (Cost about $25) Toyota charges $58 to do this same thing.

I've resigned myself to checking the air in the tires. Oh wait the 2008 also does that automatically. The reset tire button is under the dash by your right knee. (Sigh!)

Try a 3/8" hex socket or a 9mm hex socket. The latter may be hard to find as they are usually dealer specialty tools. The 3/8" hex should work fine as long as the bolt heads are not rusted badly. Be careful not to strip the hex heads on the caliper. I found out the hard way.

the caliper bolts require a 3/8" Allen wrench. You can buy these as a socket at just about any parts store.

1 5/16 wrench. Just did one last week. Be prepared to fight the Pitman arm off of the steering box shaft. A pickle-fork bit and an air hammer make it a piece of cake. Some guys unbolt the steering box from the frame to wiggle the steering box into a position where they can get a Pitman arm puller on it. Either way you will need some pretty specialized tools.

Torx is a screw, with a hole looking like a six pointed star, or the star of David. You can find a Torx screwdriver in pretty much any hardware store, or well stocked super markets.

They come in different sizes, so make sure you get the right size.

They also come in the shape of Alan-keys, or hex-keys.

I believe that's a 3/8 allen wrench, but it's a really simple matter to get under the vehicle and try different wrenches on until you find the correct one. Many calipers are held on with a 3/8 allen bolt, but some are 10mm and some even 1/2 regular bolt.

What wrench size is need for a 2007 Honda Civic oil plug?

It depends on which sensor you're working on (front or rear, and which engine size V6 or V8). It could be either the standard threaded type with the 7/8" hex, or the type with a flange that is held in place with bolts/nuts. If the sensor you're working on is the standard type without a flange, you can use an open-end 7/8" wrench if you have room. If not, there are special oxygen sensor sockets (with a slit at the side so the wires don't get pinched) you can use with an extension and ratchet. For the flange type sensors, all you would need is a socket (probably 12mm)or an open-end wrench if there's enough clearance.

A typical car's maintenance manual will quote at least 60 Torque settings. My Taurus manual has 74 torque settings. -The Ranger ( being 4WD ) will have at least 90 . - Do you seriously expect us to quote them all - -
