What do you check when your brake lights do not work on your 1992 Honda Accord?
check your fuses first. then check the bulbs. If that doesn't work. check your wiring
be sure to check to see if your switch on the brake pedal is closing, as pressure is applied.
Define code p1794 on 2001 accord?
Trouble code P1794 means: A/T (TCM) Barometric Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
I would look for a tire that is out of round or a bent wheel. I would place each one on a balancer and watch the horizon of the tire for a out of round condition. Do the same for a possible bent rim. You see, you can balance a bent rim and a out of round tire...This should have been caught at that time. If your shop seems unresponsive to this, go to a different shop.

What could cause water on the passenger side floor on a 1990 Honda Accord after it rains?
It could be a door seal or more likely the windshield is leaking.
How do you change a front wheel bearing on a 1998 Honda Accord?
If it's the same as a '96 accord (which I bet it is), you need to remove the hub assembly and take it to a machine shop. The Bearings are large "press in" assemblies that Harry Homeowner can't handle.
Replacing ft brake rotors = a trip to the machine shop too.
Locate two 4x4 blocks of wood about 12 inches in length. Then find a good quality stove bolt for the middle of the berring.Use a brass punch to drive the berring out.place wooden blocks each side of roter...
:
The 1994-1997 (and probably later) Accords have a hub bearing assembly which bolts in from behind the knuckle. (Machine shop not necessary). It is still a fairly involved job.
It requires removal of the steering knuckle from the vehicle, loosen the four bolts that hold in the hub bearing, drive the hub bearing out. The brake rotor is captive between the front flange of the hub bearing and the knuckle. A machine shop is not required to remove it, but it does involve separating ball joints, tie rod, etc, and sometimes heating the knuckle with a torch in order to drive the bearing assembly out after the bolts are removed, as it is often seized in place by rust.
it means for something to be repeated over and over again
Why do you have no compression in the third cylinder in my 1990 Honda accord?
Burnt valve, blown head gasket, hole in piston, severely worn compression rings.
Where is the exact location of a speed sensor on a 1997 Honda Accord?
The exact location of the speed sensor on a 1997 Honda Accord is on the very top of the transmission. There is a plug in, electronic speed sensor in this location.
You have to take the seat out. Then remove all the screws and tug the thing out as gently as you can. It's tough. See other question on "why door won't open but everything's connected."
Try disconnecting the negative battery wire, leave it off for ~5 minutes, then reconnect. Start the engine. The radio should read "CODE". Using the station preset buttons (1 through 6) enter your code. Then turn the radio on. Works for my '93 Prelude; hope this helps you!
Replace broken front wheel studs on 97 accord?
Turn Wheel for Access. Remove tire. Remove Brake Pads. Remove Brake Caliper. Find Hole in back of Rotor and align Stud for Removal. Beat out with mallet. Put in New Stud, use sacrificial lug nut, washer, and breaker bar to pull lug into seated position. Reinstall caliper, pads, and wheel.
Answer:
The above answer is wrong for Honda Accord, replacing a broken lug nut stud requires removal of the hub bearing assembly. It involves separating ball joints, tie rod, removal of the steering knuckle, hub assembly. There is no "find hole in back of rotor", not accessible with hub assembly installed.
Where is the fuse for the cigarette lighter in the 1993 300zx?
In the kick panel, idiot. It's next to the clutch pedal, it's tucked pretty far up but it will be on the side near the door. If you have an automatic, die in a fire.
The kick panel is a little panel that you can remove to reveal a whole bunch of little automotive fuses, check the sticker on the back side of the panel for where the cig lighter fuse is. Otherwise make sure your car is off and have fun pulling each one til you find the burnt out one.
Replace with same rated fuse!
On a Honda there is a bleader valve (similar to a brake one) on the gose neck. Start the car let it get warm and open the valve and let out the steam. As soon as water sprays out tighten it back up and it will work fine. You have to do this because the radiator sits lower than the engine.
Replace the radiator cap. This is a common problem on any vehicle. The cap is designed for a specific pressure(13-15 lbs on average). The cooling system is under pressure, so when the cap is bad it fails to maintain that pressure, effecting the flow of coolant.
You could have a blown head gasket.
of course it could be a lot of things... check the coolant sensor -- screwed-into the very bottom of the radiator. if the car was in a front accident or the radiator was replaced, the sensor (i think that's what it's called) might be bad. replaced the one on my old 86 accord lx, and that did the trick! good luck.
I'm in a similar predicament, however I'm replacing the sensor first, then the Fan Relay located in the fuse box (Becuase I've noticed my fans don't turn on at all !!) , then the thermostat... and if those don't resolve the problem, then I'll replace the water pump. Remeber replace the simplest, least expensive first.
:
Check the coolant temperature sensors. On 4 cylinder 1990s Accords, one is located in the passenger side end of the cylinder head, near where the upper radiator hose comes in on the front. It's under the distributor and is a little hard to locate at first. This sensor tells the engine computer what is going on, and if it's bad, it can fool you in to thinking you're running hot even if your engine is fine, and it does affect the way the engine runs.
Also check the fan relay, located behind the glove box lid, and the temperature sensors (that operate the fan) located on the radiator.
Found this direct quote from another person experiencing the same "turn signal noise" that seems to be infamous with the grand am. Now depending on your car model the location of this box might be different but now that you know what you are looking for maybe it will help you.
"The fix for this is easy and free. The problem is caused by contaminated grease which has bridged contacts of the multifunction switch. This cause a short circuit which cause the hazard flasher to cycle. You need a #25 torx and a # 10 torx. Remove the 3 #25 torx screws which hold plastic surrounding the steering column. Remove the plastic. Remove the 25 torx screw on the top of the multi function switch. Detatch the wiring connectors. Remove the multifunction switch. Use the #10 torx to remove all the #10 torx screws. Remove the cover and clean the grease off the contacts and copper switch plate. You will notice grease has bridged the some of the slots in switch plate. Clean it up and regrease. reverse steps to reinstall. Notice the metal peice protruding from the multi function as it facing you. This is the turn signal reset switch. When you turn this is what resets the turn signal when the wheels straighten. This needs to be pushed in so no more than 1/8 " is protruding. If you don't do this before reinstalling your horn may go off when ever you move the steering wheel after reinstallation. This whole job should take 20- 45 minutes based on your mechanical apptitude."
Where can you obtain an Owner's Manual for a 2001 Honda Accord V6?
For owners manuals and such, consult the manufacturing company. For around $20.00 US I believe that you can purchase a manual for your vehicle and it can be sent directly to your home. Also, you might want to try looking at online auctions, quite often they sell small articles such as manuals/wiring diagrams etc.
You could also try (if in canada) Canadian Tire or any sort of automotive store similar to that. I got my owner's there.
AnswerGo to www.ahm-ownerlink.com, register, and do a search for "owner manual". You can download a manual in PDF format.==========================
I own a 2001 Honda Accord V-6 so if there is a simple question I would try to help.
