That hose is the differential vent hose. It is held onto the chassis up under the motor by a small clip. The hose does not attach to anything other than the differential.

What is the difference in a body and a suspension lift?
A body lift does just that, lifts the body and gives more tire clearance( stock suspension). A suspension lift gives more clearance but also give more suspension travel for off roading.
What is Code P0300 random misfire on a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo mean?
P0300 Diagnostic Code - Random Misfire
Symptoms.
Engine may stumble or miss
Engine may be hard to start
you may notice no issues
Cause
Failing spark plugs or spark plug wires
Bad coil or coil pack
Failing oxygen sensor(s)
Bad fuel injector or more than one
Stuck exhaust valve
Bad catalytic converter
EGR valve or valve passage clogging
Bad camshaft position sensor
Bad PCM or ECM
The Fix
Best first action is a tune up, new plugs, wires, inspect all hoses and wire connections then reset the code. If it returns you will need to narrow it down to a system, coils and coil packs should be tested, catalytic converters for function ( do you smell rotten eggs?). A misfire that jumps cylinders could indicate a lean condition, do you have any other codes along with the 300? this will help clue you in to the source, check valve function to make sure they are opening and closing fully.
This is probably pone of the most difficult codes to troubleshoot, so start with the basics and work your way into the more expensive options, in many cases a good old tune up solves the problem, back it up with a fuel system cleaning and see where you stand.
What could cause the power window to go down but not up when using the switch?
caravan's have a plastic cogged track that easily breaks over time. When it breaks the window track will travel down but broken will not pull back up. This is so common HELP sells a new Chrysler window track for 12.99 but have fun, working inside doors are always awkward.
Are Jeep Cherokee steering boxes universal?
Most are interchangeable, I used a Cherokee Steering Gear on my Wrangler. :) The numbers are on the top of the gear. If they match and/or if it looks exactly the same as yours, in every way, it will probably work on your vehicle. There were also some Light Toyota Trucks that had the same gears as the Cherokees' too.
your problem is more than like the automatic choke.....they fail alot in the older model 6cyl
Actually, this is a Jeep and this is a standard transmission (I bet.. just like mine)The arrow lights at the proper time for an UP shift. As the original answer points out, this is for the best economy, based on your driving. It will never light up in forth gear (no where to go from there). The light is controlled by a vac. sensor. could be a fuel economy shift point indicator. if the vehicle is a standard transmission.
What causes AC condensate to leak on the passenger floor and how do you fix it?
The usual cause is a condensate drain that is plugged. You should be able to crawl under the car and poke something up through the drain to clear it out. Another possible problem is the drain pan is cracked or broken allowing the condensate to drip. This would require partial disassembly of the dash to replace.

Why would a 1997 Ford Escort make a ticking noise like it is out of oil and die at stop lights?
Hey Alissa==Put some oil addativee in the crankcase for sticking valve lifters. It should help after running for a couple of weeks. The dying is probably the idle control solonoid which is on the throtle body. Take it off and clean it. Also clean the inside of the throtle body. GoodluckJoe
What would cause a 1995 Nissan Sentra to stall at idle only when the weather is warm?

What is the correct light bulb for a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Laredo brake light?
Answer...maybe Hey man, I don't know if they'd be the same after all this time, but my taillights in my 1988 Jeep Cherokee use 2057s, take out one of your working bulbs, and check the number written on the metal part. Or just bring the bulb to your local parts store, that's the easiest. The above answer contains some good advice on identifing auto lamp bulbs but is incorrect as to Brake Light Bulbs used in 1998. According to the 1989 Jeep Factory Service Manual (Electrical), All models of Jeeps of that year, (except, the Wrangler and the Grand Wagoneer), specified (2) Rear Stop/Tail Lamps Type 2057. The Front Park/Turn Lamps used (2) Type 2057NA, (Natural Amber), and the Rear Turn Signal Lamps used (2) Type 1156. The Wrangler used the same (2) Type 2057NA Front Park/Turn Signal Lamps, but instead used (2) combined Rear Stop/Tail/Turn Lamps Type 1157. The Grand Wagoneer used (4) Type 1157 for both Front and Rear Stop/Turn/Park Lamps and also used (2) additional rear Tail Lamps Type 1156. The Type 1156 Lamp has a single lighting element and was also used in the (2) Backup Lights of all models of that tear. (All other Lamps mentioned above are of the Duel Element type). After realizing that the year in question was 1998, not 1989 I did did an online search and found the answer to the actual question is a Type 3157. Where is the fuel pressure regulator on 2004 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo?
The fuel pressure regulator is generally located on the fuel rail. On Chrysler products it is located on the top of the fuel pump/sending unit and is part of the fuel filter. Or it is located in front of the fuel tank and above the rear axle.
When adding coolant to 1986 Honda Accord does water need to be mixed in with the antifreeze?
Yes a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and distilled water. I disagree, I'll explain why A 100% antifreeze solution is perfectly acceptable. However you will only get a small increase in protection against overheating or freezing as compared to a 50/50 mixture of anti-freeze and water. By the way, the water doesn't have to be distilled. If your water supply is hard or has some other mineral deposits then you should use soft water. In the near term, the iron content in hard water won't impede the overheating and freezing protection that you get from the antifreeze, but it will extend the life of your cooling system by preventing the iron ions (or calcium ions or whatever mineral is present in the water) from corroding and clogging the coolant passages. It will also allow for a more efficient heat transfer between the hot internal engine block surfaces and the antifreeze itself.
How much for a Jeep Cherokee Laredo 2007 front bumper?
Around 365 CAD + tax and plus the extra cost of paint.
Where is the blower motor in your 96 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo?
I mean how do you disassemble the fan blower in a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. how do you remove the blower fan from the car in the Grand Jeep Cherokee Laredo.
You would think a bad strut, but any mechanic should find that. You should have some idea if it is the front or the back. Since you say uncontrolable I will assume it's the front. The response of the steering wheel to the tires is what it should be, no delay or play in the steering? If it is as bad as you describe, it has to be repeatable. If it doesn't show up on smooth roads or at a certain speed it has to be either a strut or a broken spring maybe. It has to be something with up and down motion, not steering.
How much should it cost to replace the transmission filter?
Now see there you go not all filters are created equal. You will also have to replace the fluid you lose as well, so that will need figured in and then labor cost as well (Unless you DIY) An like the filter not all Fluid is created equal i.e. Standard ATF vs Synthetic ATF. Year:

i believe the heater core is leaking, a small pin hole leak can generate a lot of smell.
Assuming the pump is similar to my 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport, you first need to remove the the pulley with a special tool which you can borrow at an auto parts store. But before doing this, loosen and slide off the the belt off the pump. After removing pulley. remove bolts and pump should slide off. Did this to my jeep recently.
