What is the color of the wire for the reverse light on the 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
On my 1993, 1 is Brown/with a light green tracer, the other is black. If the bulbs are good & the sockets look O.K. The Back up lights then go to the transmission. Right side reverse switch or some say neutral safety switch.
All wheel drive fuse location on forester?
Under the hood, right side near the hood hinge. Insert a fuse in the holder, after flipping the top open, to disableall-wheel drive. (there are spare fuses in the fuse box near the battery) Note that Subaru does not recommend that you do this except for use as a diagnostic tool because it does change the way that the car handles. --Ken
How do you disarm the built in alarm system on a 1995 Buick Riviera?
It is easier to just fix it the right way. But to answer your question, this is how you would by pass the security key. 1st you have to determine the Ohm reading for the security system. For this you have to either have the correct security key that goes to the car, or you have to have a special machine to decode the system. If you have the key, then you will notice that it has a built in "resistor" chip in the key. Use an ohm meter to determine the resistance of the key chip. Then go to radio shack and purchase a resistor with the same ohm rating. Then you will need to locate the wires under the dash that go to the key lock cylinder-NOT THE AIR BAG. Their are 2-wires that are orange or yellow-about the same gauge as a telephone jack wire. Cut the wires and solder each end of the resistor to each wire. You have now bypassed the security key, and key lock cylinder.
As you can see, it would be a lot simpler to just fix the original problem, which is usually just a broken wire on the keylock cylinder in the steering column. The key lock cylinder MUST be replaced. If you try to just solder the tiny little wire it will work for a few weeks, but will break again right next to the repair.
Does the ingnition coil rail assembly go bad for a 2003 jeep grand Cherokee 4.0 inline six?
everything goes bad eventually.
It's possible the valve seals are blown is it blowing blue smoke. It might also be slightly leaking at the head seal is it running hot.
What could cause a 1996 cougar to cut out and die and now won't start?
You'll have to explain more, to many things could have happened. What happened when it first cut off on you? Did it seem like any grinding or anything seized. Any abnormal smoke? Check your fuel pump first, then fuel filter, cap and rotor wires, plugs...
Why won't the driver's seat move forward in a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
First check the seat fuse if it is good- then maybe the small motor that controls the seat- Fyi there are more than one motor for controling the different seat possitionings if it is manaul then check the seat rail for something blocking the movement .
Hey Fred==Change the fuel filter first. Then if it still does it find out if it has fire or spray starting fluid in the throtle body and see if it needs fuel to run. GoodluckJoe

What does it mean if you have a new leak of oil with a green tint?
are you sure it's not anti-freeze ?.
the other possibility is a gasket is leaking, allowing coolant to enter the oil system.
You can get a replacement at the dealership, ( about $600.00 was what I was quoted) or eBay has them fairly regularly. There may be a difference between the 93-95 and the 96-98 display, you would need to verify.
additional info: junk yard ?
I had similar problem with same model/year and i took the unit out of the dash unplugged it and plugged it in again and now works fine...
simple rule of car electronics: The black wire is ALWAYS ground
Where is the coolant sensor in a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
What type of coolant sensor? The below answer is for the coolant LEVEL sensor. The coolant TEMPERATURE sensor on my vehicle is located just next to the thermostat housing. On the front top center area of the engine just behind the radiator. Follow the coolant hoses if you have trouble.
On my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee the sensor is located on the top of the plastic coolant reservoir tank. Look for a small (2-wire?) electrical connector.
How do you remove the side marker AND turn signal housings on 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo?
You must force a hex (looks like * or star) screwdriver in between the side marker and turn signal housings to reach the #2 hex screw which holds the side marker housing in place. Once the #2 screw is out you may access the two hex screws holding the turn signal housing in place.

The Volvo 960 in the UK is a straight-six 3 litre model. If North American 960's are similar then yes, there is a fuel pump mounted above the fuel tank - it actually fits onto the fuel tank.
There's also another fuel pump located beneath the car, just aft of the front passenger seat (driver side in the States ..) in a bracket along with the fuel filter.
There's an eBay (UK) guide at http://reviews.eBay.co.UK/Volvo-960-Automatic_W0QQugidZ10000000003233806
There's also some photos on my website that may help you (www) glennsmart.btinternet.co.UK and choose 'Volvo 960' from the drop down menu.
Where is the catalytic converter on a 04 grand Cherokee located?

If you did not mix the coolant with water for a 98 grand prix will if hurt the car?
Well, we didn't use the right mixture and now the "check coolant" light has been blinking off and on for the last year. I think we damaged the sensor because it is not running hot. The optimum blend for coolant is half distilled water and half coolant. Straight anti freeze does not cool as efficiently as a 50/50 mix. You did not damage the sensor. Sometimes the "Dexcool" (GM orange long life antifreeze) can "gum up" the sensor and cause false readings. The sensor is located on the passenger side of the radiator about 6 inches down from the top below a transmission cooler line. It is held in with a metal clip. Remove the battery to more easily access this sensor. Remove the clip and sensor -clean and replace. (I would sugggest lowering the coolant level before removing the sensor and be sure to bleed the system after replacing the sensor and coolant.) For more details on anti freeze check out the following website. http://www.phmeters.com/New_Folder/antifreeze_application_note.htm Hope this helps. "G"
How do you program a keyless entry remote for a 2000 Grand Cherokee?
HOPE THIS IS IT... Sit inside the vehicle with all the doors closed. Place ignition in the OFF position. Open the driver's door. Leave Open. Move the mechanical door lever to the LOCK position. Turn the ignition to the RUN position. Aim the transmitter at the Keyless Entry receiver and press Lock button. Hold for five seconds until the door locks cycle. Turn ignition OFF within 20 seconds.
I had the same problem, all I did was replace the fitting that the bulb goes in with a new one ( $8.00 fix) and replaced the tail light and haven't had a problem since.
