It realy will not hurt anything to put two new tires on the back or front,But I would replace the other two as soon as you could. If the jeep is all time 4 wheel drive you MUST make sure all 4 tires are the exact same diameter or or at least within 2-3/32" or you will burn up the transfer case and front differential. Due to the difference in size, the tires rotate at a different revolutions making the sensor think the tires are slipping and therefore engaging the 4 wheel drive. If you are on dry pavement and there is no tire slippage like there would be in snow or mud something has to break and it will the the transfer case and differential.

I had the similar problem with my Jeep 1999 grand Cherokee cruise control not working the gates for the interior worked fine just no cruise control, looking at the other respondence I found that the vacuum hose off the control unit was bent going to a auto parts store and bought a slight bit longer hose and is now working fine I was ready to replace the whole unit. the other thing is the upper radiator hose looks to be 1½" on both ends it is not the NAPA hose calls for #9117 and states it is same on both ends which is 1½" the correct one is from pep-boys Dayco 1-15/32" slight bit smaller and works much better and cheaper.

you need to turn up the idle speed, or stop getting gas at the station you have been.a higher octane could help also.

You need wheels with a 5 on 5 lug pattern (5 inches accross with 5 lugs).

As for the wheel size... Id go with a 15x 8 just cause alot of tires are available at decent prices for that size wheel and it is a good size...

I wouldn't recommend running any tire bigger than a 32x11.50.

I own a 2009 Jeep Wrangler X and actually just had to change a flat. In the trunk of your jeep there will be a long lug nut "wrench" that was made specifically to remove the nuts that hold all of the tires on. Simply use this tool to remove the nuts on the spare tire and you are all set!

The firing order for the 86 jeep 2.8 is 1-2-3-4-5-6. 1 is the spark plug next to the battery and 2 is on the opposite side of the engine. One side is odd in sequencial order and the other side is even.

31" X 10.5 X 15 will fit, but they will rub a bit when you are turning sharply. Many people put this size on and don't worry about it.

Is the motor working or is it just down about two to three inches and won't go up or down? Is there power at the window switch?

There can be several reasons why you would smell gas in your Jeep! The most common reason would be that there are holes within the floor-boards of the vehicle and you are getting a lot of exhaust fumes due to a clogged catylitic converter and muffler that have caused the exhaust to find other paths of escape and you are getting everybody elses gas fumes along with your own also. Another common excuse would be that once again, there are floor-boards that have rusted through and a fuel line has a minor(pinhole) leak and you are smelling fumes; but this would be noticed from a possible spotting of the ground beneathe the vehicle in the morning and an oily looking spot on the underside of the vehicle where the worn part is located. The only other reason that I can think of why you would be smelling gas is from a leaking fuel system from underneathe the hood of the vehicle; at which time I recommend shutting the vehicle off and stepping away as quickly as possible until the motor has had time to cool. Upon return to the vehicle, you should find that if the smell is comming from under the hood, that the problem is usually the fuel line has a wear spot in it and needs replaced. Good luck, and NO SMOKING while you do your repairs on this one!
