Why Jeep just stop running while you are driving it?
Could be many reasons but fuel pump failure is possible.
Faulty sending unit.
How many clowns can fit in a jeep?
No one really knows.
Classic circus routines regularly employed the "clown car" routine, where clowns were able to enter the vehicle from the rear as others exited, making an improbably long string of two dozen or more.
Where is 2002 jeep liberty thermostat?
The thermostat on a 2002 Jeep Liberty 3.7L is under the housing where the lower radiator hose attaches to the engine.
What are the gear ratios of a jeep vehicle?
On a jeep wangler (TJ), on each transfer case (two axles = two transfer cases), there are about 10 bolts holding the cover on. There's a metal tag afixed to one or two of the bolts. The leftmost 3 digits, separated by a very difficult to see "period", is the gear ratio. For example, my Dana 30 front axle uses a stock 4.10 gear ratio.
Where is vacuum for 1989 jeep yj transfercase coming from?
the vacuum valve on the transfer case takes engine vacuum, and uses it to engage the central axle disconnect on the front axle when the case is shifted into 4wd. this is also the cause of the slight delay between shifting in/out of 4wd, and the 4wd indicator light turning on/off - real world, on an older Jeep, it takes up to a few seconds, sometimes, for the engine to pull enough vacuum to shift the front axle actuator.
Both the vacuum switch, and the vacuum actuator on the axle are common failures, and there are a number of kits on the market to convert the front axle to use a cable actuator
What is the point gap setting for a jeep CJ5 with a 232 engine?
It may be set by dwell angle (little window at side of distributor cap) if so, it should be 28-32 degrees If set by "feeler gauge" at high point of cam should be .017
What happens if thrust is greater than drag?
The car (or plane/whatever else it is) accelerates. This means that it gains speed
1995 Grand Cherokee Limited wiring diagram?
Your question needs some additional information in order to get a satisfactory answer. It would be good to include what type of engine you have as well as the major optional features included. Then there are wiring diagrams for the lights, the Vehicle Information Center, the Climate Control etc.
I would recommend that you check out one of several of the Technical Manuals that are published for various vehicles as they all include basic wiring diagrams plus loads of other information about your 1995 Grand Cherokee Limited. You can purchase these at most bookstores, online sites that sell books as well as probably review them at your local library.
What brand of spark plugs should you use in a 2007 Chevy Cobalt?
Brands of spark plugs do not really matter. If they sell it in an autoparts store, it'll make your car run. However, certain brands or styles of spark plug provide better surface area to create the spark, which can lead to better fuel efficiency and improved horse power. Generally, you get what you pay for. For more information on which spark plugs do what, simply go in to your local autoparts store and ask the person at the desk.
Note: Although brands do not matter, MAKE SURE you have the right size.
How do you replace jeep blend door?
Assuming you are going to replace the 99/04 Jeep Grand Cherokee blend doors yourself.
You would start by disconnecting the negative battery cable.
If you are going to remove the dashboard, etc to replace the blend doors.
some websites give you complete instructions with plenty of pictures.
It will take the average person with little or no auto repair skills approximately 12 to 16 hrs.
The vehicle will have to be taken to a shop that can recover the refrigerant before you start removing the dashboard and HVAC box..
If you are going to do the type of repair where you cut an access hole in the side of the HVAC box.
A short version of how the access hole repair is done.
Disconnect the Negative battery cable.
Lower the glove box - by hand
Remove the actuator motor - You will need a Phillips screw driver
Cut an access hole in the plastic HVAC box - I supply a multi-purpose cutting bit, you will need a rotary type of cutting tool, like a Dremel, RotoZip, etc. Or you could do the cutting by hand with any type of small cutting tool, it will just take longer doing it by hand. Or some customers used a narrow pointed soldering iron!
Remove the broken blend doors - by hand
Install the new Blen Dor Store dual control kit
Replace the actuator motor.
Close the access hole - Replace the wall piece of plastic you cutout - I supply an aluminum tape to cover the groove made by cutting the wall.
Close the glove box - Your Done!
It is almost as easy as what you just read, the hardest and the most time consuming thing to do is cut the access hole.
The job should take between 30 minutes to 1 ½ hours. Depending on how long it takes you to gather your tools, etc.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Video's of the repair and expert support are available online. Check for a full explanation of the problem and repair process.
Again disconnect the negative battery cable first.
This type of repair takes an average of one hour to complete.
The work is done behind the glove box.
You would cut a 5" x 3" access hole.
Remove the broken plastic blend doors, etc
Install the new aluminum blend doors, drive connector with stop limited pin.
Replace the cutout section and apply an aluminum foil tape on the cut line.
What is the transmission fluid capacity for a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.2 liter V8?
Approx 5 quarts for filter service, and 12 quarts for dry fill.
this sould be perfectly normal. it has an automatic choke which kicks off when the motor warms up. let the motor get warm and then shut it off for a minute or so. start it up and c if it still does it.
How do you change the headlight on a 1997 Jeep?
Changing a headlight There is a twist lock connection behind the light. Twist it counterclockwise to remove the fitting and halogen bulb. Remove the bulb by raising the locking clip with a small screwdriver and pulling the old bulb out. It has a double o-ring seal so it may be a little difficult to pull out. Replace with new halogen bulb. Do not touch new bulb glass as oils from your skin will cause a hot spot on the bulb and cause premature failure. Insert the twist lock, being careful to align the splines. It will only fit in one position. Once properly aligned and fully inserted twist 90 degrees clockwise to lock.
Can you take a soft top jeep through a touch less carwash?
You can but the top is more than likely going to leak unless the Jeep is fairly new. Even then it may leak. I would not advise it.
30 or 31 max. Anything larger and you'll either need a suspension lift, a body lift (which I don't like) or you'll need to cut out fender wells.
Possibly the crankshaft positioning sensor or Neutral Safety Switch
Removeing hydraulic lifters on a jeep 4.0?
You must first remove the head to get to the lifters. I suggest getting a repair manual from your local auto parts store for details on that.
once you have the head off you will either need a special lifter removal tool (which you should be able to borrow from autozone, checkers, krager, whatever your store may be) OR you can use just a regular magnetic tool retriever. stick the magnetic tool directly onto the lifter (it's best to try to get it to attach directly in the center of the lifter) and pull up slowly. the lifters can be a little tricky but I've found that if you continuously push the lifter up and down you can get it to come up a little more each time until it comes out. There will be a little bit of suction holding it in place due to the very tight cylinder it fits in and the amount of oil in and around the lifter.
once you have them removed you can inspect them by holding the bottom edge of each lifter against the side of any other lifter. if the bottom is slightly convex (bowed outward) and has no visible scratches or damage then it is still good. you can use a screwdriver to pop out the retaining spring in the top of the lifter and take the lifter apart and clean it with the proper solvent. DO NOT USE ANY FORM OF GASOLINE OR WATER! a bit of brake cleaner or carb cleaner should do fine. fill the lifters with oil and reassemble them. dip them in oil before installation as well.
if the bottom of the lifter is flat or concave (bowed inward) or shows any signs of damage then it must be replaced. this usually means that you also need to replace the camshaft. it is HIGHLY recommended that you replace the camshaft any time you replace lifters! even if only one of the lifters is bad you should replace the whole set.
if you do have to replace the camshaft be sure to inspect the camshaft bearings for damage as well. refer to your manual for more info on this procedure.
you can find great deals online that will include the camshaft, lifters, and timing chain and sprockets. you will also need to purchase some new gaskets, namely head gasket, valve cover gasket, intake/exhaust gasket (this is a combined gasket), thermostat housing gasket, and timing chain cover gasket. you can sometimes get these cheaper if you just purchase a top end rebuild gasket set which will come with a few extra gaskets (throttle body gasket, valve stem seals, etc.) which you could always keep around just in case.
once you have finished the job you will need to change the oil and filter. even if you changed the oil YESTERDAY you will need to do it again or risk damage to your new camshaft! start the engine and let it idle for about 30-45 minutes. DO NOT REV THE ENGINE! the camshaft will need to break-in before any high revving occurs. you should also use a conventional oil for the first 3000 miles or until your next oil change. avoid letting the engine labor past 4000 RPM for the first 100 miles or so at the very least.
you may notice some ticking for the first few minutes after the first start. this is because the new lifters have yet to completely fill with oil. once the engine warms up a bit the lifters should begin working at proper capacity and there should be very little to no ticking at all. you can help this process by dipping the new lifters in oil and pushing in on the sprung end to fill them with oil before installation.
if there is still a ticking noise you may need to remove the valve cover and recheck the rocker arm torque settings. if there is a "knocking" noise then you will need to determine its source and go from there. this could be the sign of a "spun" rod bearing or a worn wrist pin.
this job is actually pretty simple to finish and should only take you half a day at the most. you should be able to do everything (including camshaft replacement) with normal hand tools (except you will have to get a vibration dampener removal tool) and without having to remove the engine from the vehicle. just remove the grill, condenser, radiator, and trans cooler. I just rotate these components up on top of the engine after I've removed the head and lifters to gain access to the timing cover which houses the camshaft...
